Xu Yansu was extrely nervous as she looked at him:

"What about you? Have you ever thought about your own body? You have the sa virus as the old lady in your body. If you secretly transfer the old lady away, Shi Lihua will stop your dication, and you will die."

Fu Shinian looked at her and let out a light laugh:

"Do you think if I let her get what she wants from the old lady, she would spare ? She has wanted dead from the beginning, and that hasn’t changed at all. So, do I really need to fulfill her wish?"

Xu Yansu looked at Fu Shinian, beginning to understand him less and less. Was it that he had been hiding his true self too well, or were she and Shi Lihua just too foolish? They failed to see clearly many things, like how she had thought he was unaware of the real reason behind his poisoning, yet he knew. Just like now, she didn’t think he knew Shi Lihua’s purpose, but he did.

Not only did he know, but he was also fully aware of what Shi Lihua had from the old lady.

Were they too naive? They treated Fu Shinian like a cat that could be played with at will, but he was only cooperating with their act. In reality, he had always been a lion, a male lion that could bite back at any mont.

Xu Yansu was about to say sothing more when Shi Lihua pushed the door open. Seeing the empty hospital bed, her expression imdiately turned sour. Fu Shinian glanced at her lazily, nonchalantly lit a cigarette, and amidst the smoke, Shi Lihua stepped in front of him:

"Where is the old lady?"

Fu Shinian gently exhaled a ring of smoke:

"Your protégé has already asked that question just now. Why don’t you ask her?"

The gaze of Shi Lihua instantly turned to Xu Yansu, piercing and expectant of the truth, but Xu Yansu didn’t know whether to tell the truth or not. If she told the truth, the virus inside Fu Shinian would eventually kill him, even if she started to reconfigure the dication right now, it would be too late, as Fu Shinian was about to take his dication for this month.

But if she didn’t tell the truth, how could she possibly continue the lie? Fu Shinian might not even cooperate with her.

Her eyes shifted toward Fu Shinian, but he was completely enjoying the drama unfolding before him. Gritting her teeth, Xu Yansu eventually spoke up:

"I don’t know, the old lady was already gone when I got here."

"What did I ask you to do here? How could such a big person disappear right under your nose, and you have no clue where she went?" Shi Lihua was starting to lose her cool, her gaze turning distrustful towards Xu Yansu: "Did you do it on purpose? Are you already on the sa side as Fu Shinian?"

Fu Shinian enjoyed his cigarette and watched this ’dog-eat-dog’ scene unfold with a rare look of ease and pleasure. He knew that Xu Yansu was wronged and aggrieved, but he had no intention of speaking out to help her. After all, he was quite enjoying the situation in front of him.

However, Shi Lihua was a formidable character. After her initial rage, she quickly regained her composure and realized that Xu Yansu betraying her was actually very unlikely. She glared fiercely at Fu Shinian, then ordered Xu Yansu:

"Go search, by any ans necessary, you must find the whereabouts of the old lady."

"Yes."

Xu Yansu responded, but her uneasy gaze remained fixed on Fu Shinian. She truly worried that once she left, she might never see him again. She wanted to remind him with her eyes to soften his stance, to at least take the dication he needed for the month, but Fu Shinian didn’t even offer her a glance.

Continuing to stay would only make Shi Lihua more suspicious. Although Xu Yansu was concerned, she had no choice but to leave.

All she could do was comfort herself by thinking that since Fu Shinian had known everything from the beginning, he must have foreseen the current situation too. If he was prepared, then he wouldn’t easily be captured and let Shi Lihua benefit. Perhaps, there was still a chance for things to turn around.

After Xu Yansu left, the cigarette in Fu Shinian’s hand was also finished. He, unusually unconcerned with public decency, directly tossed the cigarette butt onto the ground and crushed it with his foot. When he looked up again, his face had taken on another expression. He looked at Shi Lihua and initiated the conversation:

"It might be easy for you to find soone in Italy, but this is Shen City, my turf. What do you think your chances are of finding the old lady?"

Shi Lihua smiled at his words:

"Your turf? It might have been three years ago, but what about now? How many people still recognize the na Fu Shinian? Everything that once belonged to Fu Shinian is gone. Even if you still wield so power, even if you have friends to aid you, as long as you’re in my hands, the old lady will definitely appear. I have seen her affection for you since I was very young."

"Since you were very young?" The words made Fu Shinian almost let out a laugh. He licked his lips, looked out the window at the scenery, and fiddled with an unlit cigarette in his hand, his tone casual, "It’s rare that you rember things from your childhood. I thought your heart only had room for Yu Qingzhou and Yu Zhiyuan."

Fu Shinian knew that Shi Lihua wasn’t surprised by Yu Zhiyuan. He had never hidden him, even when he was a child, but how had she learned about Yu Qingzhou?

Shi Lihua’s gaze locked onto Fu Shinian’s impassive face:

"How do you know about Yu Qingzhou?"

"I don’t just know about Yu Qingzhou. I also know that after you drained Fu Corporation of its resources, you transferred all the money to Yu Qingzhou’s company overseas. It was because of Fu Corporation’s money that Yu Qingzhou’s near-bankrupt company was revived, and now his company might not rival the forr Fu Corporation, but it has also beco a top contender in the industry, hasn’t it? Your return was all for him, wasn’t it?"

"What else do you know?"

"I know far more than you think, such as Yu Qingzhou’s illness, the research results you want to get from the old lady, and also..." Fu Shinian looked at her, his gaze icy, "from the beginning, you never intended to let live."

Since the words were out, there was no reason for Shi Lihua to continue hiding anything. She smiled relievedly:

"Yes, I never intended for you to live. I never wanted to give birth to you from the start. You’re like a badge of sha to , a witness to all my past humiliations. You can’t imagine how much I hate you, how much I hate the Fu family. If I had the choice, I would not only not have given birth to you, but I would have also killed your father, and I would have made sure the entire Fu family suffered."

These were words Fu Shinian had never heard Shi Lihua say before, not until now. But he didn’t feel anything special; after all, the motherly love Fu Shinian had experienced growing up and the things Shi Lihua had said didn’t seem to be all that different.
