Mrs. Fu?

Wen Han instinctively looked at Su Mu and realized that Su Mu was also stunned, seeming completely surprised by Fu Shinian’s words.

A few seconds later, Wen Han ca to his senses and said lightly,

"I never expected Mr. Fu to be already married. Shaoyuan was fortunate to have Mrs. Fu as a tutor; what a surprising delight."

Wen Shaoyuan tugged at Wen Han’s hand,

"Dad, can we finish dinner before going back? I haven’t yet had a al cooked by Sister Su."

Wen Han was about to refuse, but Fu Shinian spoke up first,

"Of course you can. Whatever you want to eat tonight, just tell Sister Su."

Wen Shaoyuan’s eyes brightened at Fu Shinian’s words, but he still looked towards Wen Han, as if only Wen Han’s nod would allow him to enjoy the al without any worries. However, Wen Han still declined,

"I’m sorry, Mr. Fu, but we had already arranged to have dinner with the family before coming here. We rarely get to gather together, and now that we finally are all at ho, we really must return. Another day, I’ll host a dinner to thank you and Mrs. Fu for your kind attention to Shaoyuan these past few days."

Fu Shinian did not say anything further, simply nodded lightly, his gaze drifting downward, where he noticed the slip of paper in Wen Han’s hand. He couldn’t quite make out what was written, only seeing Su Mu’s na signed at the end. Wen Han seed to notice Fu Shinian’s gaze and subtly put it away the next second.

After Wen Han left, Fu Shinian’s expression was no longer feigned friendliness but instantly turned cold. Su Mu actually did not understand why he was angry, but she felt it must be related to her, so she chose not to say more, to avoid provoking him further.

She cautiously glanced at him:

"Then I’ll go help Auntie Lin with dinner. What would you like to eat?"

Seeing Su Mu’s frightened deanor again, Fu Shinian suppressed his irritation and softened his tone,

"Don’t worry about it now, co upstairs with ."

In the master bedroom, Fu Shinian went straight to Su Mu’s usual side of the bed, pulled open the drawer of her bedside table, and took out a small white dicine bottle. Su Mu knew what it was but did not understand what Fu Shinian wanted to do at that mont. She could only stand there, watching as he poured out a pill and picked up the half-filled glass of water from the bedside table, walking towards her.

He held out the pill to her,

"I didn’t take precautions last night, take the contraceptive pill."

Su Mu looked at him, feeling that the person before her was very fickle. Just last night, he had expressed a desire for a child, so he had not used a condom, although Su Mu herself was not willing to get pregnant. However, it was one thing for her not to want it, and another for Fu Shinian to change his mind.

Seeing that Su Mu had not imdiately taken it, Fu Shinian uncharacteristically explained,

"I asked Qiao Yu, and he said that although the dicine has minimal side effects, considering the child, we should stop taking it for three months. This is your last ti taking it, and I will take precautions for the next three months."

Su Mu acknowledged, picked up the pill and swallowed it. Fu Shinian’s gaze lingered on her thoughtfully.

On the way back to the Wen Family ho, Wen Shaoyuan was very quiet; unusually, Wen Han didn’t speak for a long ti. He was still pondering over the relationship between Su Mu and Fu Shinian. Although it didn’t directly affect him, knowing about it hadn’t stopped him from losing control of his emotions, and even at this mont, he was still thinking about it.

The last ti he saw Ji Nanfeng, he had referred to Su Mu as a ’friend’s fiancée’, but now that he thought about it, they must have already been married at that ti, only refraining from making it public due to external reasons. Ji Nanfeng couldn’t speak too plainly, but why?

Why, despite having such a status, did Su Mu live such a difficult life and owe so much money?

Although he did not understand the reason, Wen Han still respected her. This was also why he instinctively put away the note in his hand after noticing Fu Shinian seeing it—it must have been sothing she did not want Fu Shinian to discover.

At the traffic light, Wen Shaoyuan softly asked:

"Dad, did Sister Su and Uncle Fu get married?"

Wen Han saw his dejection and nodded slightly:

"Yes."

"So, Sister Su can never beco my mom, right?"

Wen Han frowned slightly:

"Shaoyuan, are you telling that the reason you like and rely on Su Mu is because you want her to be your mom?"

Wen Shaoyuan didn’t speak, but just nodded slightly. After a mont, feeling that Wen Han might not understand his feelings, he added, "I like moms like Sister Su."

A child’s liking is usually without reason, but this ti, Wen Han understood Wen Shaoyuan well. Most of his fondness for Su Mu stemd from the kindness she showed him, the care and companionship that filled the voids of his childhood, which is why he hoped to keep his relationship with Su Mu forever.

And Su Mu’s kindness towards Wen Shaoyuan was enough to prove that she was a good and kind girl, but such a good girl already belonged to soone else.

"She will be soone else’s good mom in the future." Wen Han looked at Wen Shaoyuan, "Shaoyuan, isn’t it good just the two of us living together?"

Wen Shaoyuan also looked up at him:

"Dad, isn’t it also nice to have soone like Sister Su with us? I can tell that you really like Sister Su too. You’ve never talked so much to another woman, not even Auntie Ji."

As the light turned green, Wen Han didn’t say anything more and pressed the accelerator.

When they arrived back at the Wen Family ho, the first to greet them was Wen Shaoyuan’s grandmother, Zhou Yaxian, who bent down to lift Wen Shaoyuan into her arms:

"My darling, how could you do such a bold thing? Do you know how worried Grandma was when she heard the news?"

Wen Shaoyuan kissed Zhou Yaxian on the cheek:

"Grandma, don’t be angry. Shaoyuan has been very happy these past few days. Sister Su took great care of ."

Hearing this, Zhou Yaxian seed to think of sothing and looked towards the door, but apart from her own son, there was no one else at the doorway, and she couldn’t help but say:

"Didn’t I tell you to invite Su Mu over for dinner at our house? It would have been a good opportunity for us to thank her properly."

Wen Han took off his coat and handed it to Auntie Li nearby, indifferently:

"She had other plans tonight."

Zhou Yaxian was slightly disappointed; she had been busy in the kitchen from the mont she got ho, all to welco the arrival of Su Mu. But she hadn’t expected this turn of events. Wen Songyan also ca over at that ti, taking his beloved grandson from his wife Zhou Yaxian’s hands, and said with a smile:

"It’s unavoidable if Teacher Su had other plans. We’ll pay a visit in person another day to give our thanks."
