After eating the breakfast with Azalea and Ye Jie, Xu y left the cleaning to the maid. Ye Jie went to his study for work while Xu y got busy with miscellaneous tasks.
When the doorbell rang, Azalea was the one who opened the door and collected the delivery. "Sis, there is a parcel!" She shouted while looking at the big parcel in hand.
Xu y ca to see the big parcel in Azalea’s hand and frowned. Xu y stretched out her hand and Azalea imdiately passed the parcel to her. Xu y turned it over but found no specific detail. She peeled the wrapping paper off and was stunned by the content before her.
"Wow! It’s your wedding album!" Azalea said behind her and broke her trance.
It was indeed a customized wedding album of 12x8 horizontal and 8x12 vertical layout. The cover photo featured a simple photo of Xu y and Ye Jie’s left hand’s side by side, showing off their wedding rings and the only text on the cover was: ’Mr. Rain & Mrs. Cherry’.
"Sis, turn it over." Listening to Azalea, Xu y turned the album over and on the back side was a black and white photo of both Xu y and Ye Jie while holding hands.
Azalea was so excited that she pulled Ye Jie out of his study as well and made him sit beside Xu y while she sat on Xu y’s other side.
Xu y turned every page with so many emotions that she couldn’t describe. Oddly, Ye Jie made sure that there were no pictures of Xu Liqing or Fu Lan in the album just because he didn’t want her to be upset.
Each photo was taken with unique styles and it portrayed the wedding beautifully. Xu y looked at Ye Jie and asked, "When did you-?" She couldn’t continue as her throat felt choked up.
"It’s quite late in my opinion but you see, I couldn’t decide the style. I had to look through hundreds of designs and finally, I decided this one. As for when? I was planning this before the wedding of course." He smiled making her smile in return.
Xu y hugged his neck saying, "Thank you, Ah-Jie!"
"I’m glad that you like it." He replied while Azalea coughed a bit at the side making them pull away.
"It’s not like I don’t want you guys to hug but I need soone to introduce to everyone in these photos," Azalea said a bit guiltily.
"I need to do so work, so, baby talk to her," Ye Jie kissed the top of Xu y’s head and left them. Xu y excitedly pointed at each photo and telling Azalea about it.
In the end, Azalea sighed heavily. "I really wish that I was there." Xu y saw her sad look and hugged her shoulders saying,
"So what if you didn’t see our wedding? You’ll get to see our whole life journey that too at the front row." Azalea was convinced with Xu y’s words.
"Sis, you’re really amazing," Azalea remarked happily.
Xu y was talking to Azalea when her cell phone rang and caught her attention. She looked at the caller id and answered the call, "Hello, Auntie!"
"Hey, Xiao y! Are you busy?" He Jian’s mother, Zhu Qinyang asked from the other side.
Xu y gazed at Azalea and replied, "Not really... Just checking through my wedding album."
"Really?" Zhu Qinyang was pleasantly surprised. "Xiao y, how about you co over and bring that album as well. Since I couldn’t co to your wedding, I really want to see those photos."
"Huh? Oh... Okay! Give a sec, I’ll ask Ah-Jie about it." Xu y said.
"Okay. Co soon!" Zhu Qinyang hung up the call.
Azalea gave Xu y a questioning look and Xu y explained, "Your Aunt wants to see the photos."
"Auntie Qin-Qin?" Azalea inquired and Xu y nodded in reply. "Wow! I thought Auntie only knew how to scowl."
"You don’t like her?"
"No, no... I love her but I’m just a bit scared of her." Azalea confessed.
Xu y looked around and leaned a bit towards Azalea to whisper, "Don’t tell anyone but even I’m scared of her a bit." Both of them burst out laughing.
"Ah-Jie!" Xu y ca to Ye Jie’s study and asked, "Can you give one of your cars?"
"They are yours. Why do you want my permission?" Ye Jie replied looking at his docunts. "Are you going sowhere?"
"Yeah... Auntie Qin-Qin asked to bring my wedding album for her." Ye Jie nodded and threw his car keys towards her which she caught easily.
"Drive safely and be back soon." Ye Jie called out behind her.
Xu y happily skipped out of the house and drove Ye Jie’s Porsche to the military compound.
Zhu Qinyang was already waiting for her in the garden eagerly and looking at Xu y, she smiled dotingly. "Xiao y!" She hugged Xu y tightly as she ca closer.
Xu y looked behind Zhu Qinyang at He Susu and smiled politely saying, "Hi, Aunt Su!"
"Hello to you too, Xiao y!" He Susu greeted Xu y with the sa enthusiasm as Zhu Qinyang.
When both won brought Xu y inside, she was served with different delicacies. Xu y didn’t mind at all and ate with pleasure as she opened the album for them to see.
The first comnt that she received was from He Susu, "Xiao y, you looked gorgeous at your wedding."
"Our Xiao y is already gorgeous. And it was given that she’d be ethereal in her wedding dress." Zhu Qinyang chid in as if praising her own daughter.
Xu y could only listen like an idiot, stuck between them. She really couldn’t digest all the praises that too said with so much love.
"Look here, both of them are so perfect with each other." Zhu Qinyang was talking to He Susu who was also nodding in return.
"Sis, look here," this ti He Susu shifted Zhu Qinyang’s attention towards a certain photo. Both won were imrsed in praising the photos while Xu y was busy with dim-sum before her.
"Sis isn’t that-" He Susu looked at Zhu Qinyang with a frown as she pointed at a photo.
Xu y looked at both of them who were looking oddly at the photo. "I think it is her," Zhu Qinyang agreed with her.
Xu y just placed a wanton in her mouth when both He Susu and Zhu Qinyang looked at her. Xu y chewed in a hurry and asked, "What’s wrong, Auntie?"
"Xiao y, who’s this?" Zhu Qinyang shifted the album before Xu y to get a better look.
"Oh, that’s my mother-in-law," when she said it, there was a bitterness in Xu y’s voice.
"Ha? Zhou Ning is your mother-in-law?" Xu y instantly dropped the chopsticks on the table and looked at He Susu.
"You know her?" Xu y asked.
