Qin Yin blinked her eyes and suddenly smiled, "Would this count as a la joke?"

"I suppose... it does!"

They chatted on and off, and as ti passed it got late. Qin Yin couldn’t help but yawn, closed her eyes, and fell asleep shortly after.

Mo Han finished reading a docunt, curious about why she suddenly stopped talking. He was about to ask when he heard a light breathing sound coming from his earphones, and swallowed back the words he was about to say.

His lips curled into a faint smile, "Good night."

He took his phone and hung up the call, removed his earphones, and got up to take his change of clothes into the bathroom.

After a shower, he ca out and lay on the bed, and as he held his phone, he suddenly smiled.

He unlocked the screen and opened an app.

When he moved into the apartnt, he started using the smart ho network service, which allowed him to see everything happening at ho no matter where he was.

Additionally, if there was a power outage or other incident at ho, it would automatically send a ssage to his phone, allowing him to control and resolve it remotely.

While Qin Yin was calling, his phone didn’t react at all, enough to prove that there’s been no power outage at ho.

Yet she said the whole area was having a power outage.

Whatever the reason, he didn’t expose her, and went along with her story.

A sudden thought occurred to him, perhaps she truly felt uncomfortable being alone at ho when he’s not there.

Regardless of her reason, whenever he traveled, aside from necessary calls with colleagues, it was rare for anyone to feel uncomfortable due to his absence.

Qin Yin’s behavior made him feel inexplicably that soone at ho cared about him when he was away.

He exited the webpage, plugged the phone into the charger, placed it on the bedside table, and turned off the lights to rest.

Far away in Z City, Qin Yin wouldn’t know he realized she was lying from the start, and wouldn’t know about the smart ho system, only thinking that Mo Han believed her words.

She slept until she woke up naturally, got out of bed, and after freshening up in the bathroom, went to the kitchen.

"It’s the weekend, if you don’t feel like going out, just relax at ho. There are a few movies that are quite good; you can check them out."

Qin Yin was surprised to find that among the movies Mo Han recomnded her, one of them was exactly what she was currently watching.
