Upon arriving at the hotel where Gong Shaoyu was staying, he headed straight for the elevator, reaching the corresponding floor, and stopped at the door of room 1801.

"Doctor, I want... to terminate the pregnancy."
Lan Shan’s words left the doctor stunned, and she stared at her for a while before speaking, "Are you sure about this decision?"
The doctor, a middle-aged woman, wore a faint smile, "This is your first child. If you terminate, there would be so impact on future fertility, and..."
"And, since it’s your friend accompanying you, have you discussed it with the child’s father?"
Lan Shan bit her lip tightly until it turned pale before letting go, "I’ve made up my mind, please make the arrangents!"
"Your body seems a bit weak. If you’re determined to go ahead with the termination, the surgery can be done today. Did you eat anything this morning?"
"I ate a little, not much."
"It’s recomnded not to eat before the surgery. Co back tomorrow." She closed the case file.
"Doctor, I want to terminate the pregnancy today."
Ye Xinluo was about to speak, intending to suggest coming back tomorrow—so she’d have a chance to inform Gong Shaoyu—but Lan Shan spoke first, interrupting her.
"So urgent?" The doctor adjusted the fra of her glasses. "Do you really not want to keep the child? Not willing to wait even a day?"
"What did you eat?"
"Just had a few sips of milk and an egg," Lan Shan replied dazedly.
"Alright then, first get an ECG done, then register for surgery later. By that ti, it should mostly be digested."
Signing her na on the form and handing it to her, she signaled they could leave.
After completing the ECG, they went to the inpatient departnt for registration and then sat quietly on the corridor seats, waiting.
The surgery was scheduled for eleven thirty, just under two hours away.
Ye Xinluo kept glancing at the entrance, growing anxious, unsure if Beichen Rui had found Gong Shaoyu. Please, let Shaoyu co quickly, otherwise, with the child gone, they’d really have no chance.
Hotel Room Entrance
Beichen Rui knocked on the door for ages with no response. He imdiately took out his phone to call the person in charge, asking them to bring a spare key.
Over twenty minutes later, the person in charge arrived with the key and unlocked the door.
The door was latched shut from inside, so Beichen Rui lost patience and asked the person to step back. Taking a deep breath, he gathered all his strength and kicked the door.
