Chapter 860: Chapter 860: I’m Not the One Who Should Apologize
Lan Shan didn’t ask him how he knew there was a hairdryer; she simply turned around and went back into the bathroom, found the hairdryer, plugged it in, and started blowing her hair.
A knock sounded at the door, Gong Shaoyu got up, walked over, and opened it.
"Do the clothes I prepared fit well?"
Ling Haoyu stood there, glanced into the room, and asked.
"They’re okay."
There wasn’t much expression on his face, making it hard to tell if his mood was good or bad.
"Just now Wang Keke found
and said she didn’t do it on purpose, and asked
to apologize to you on her behalf."
This Wang Keke is really sothing; even if an apology is needed, it should be directed at Lan Shan. Instead, she says it’s for Gong Shaoyu, not clear what her intentions are.
"I’m not the one who deserves the apology."
At the ti he ca out of the study, standing on the second-floor corridor talking to Ling Haoyu, his gaze coincidentally fell on Lan Shan’s side. Although it was a bit far, he could still clearly see that when she got up, she didn’t bump into Wang Keke; it could only an it was intentional.
"Are you angry?"
Ling Haoyu raised an eyebrow slightly, tentatively asked.
The look on his face clearly spelled out "I’m very angry."
Having known him for so many years, it’s easy to tell his current displeasure.
"She was brought by , naturally I have to protect her."
Gong Shaoyu coldly replied.
Upon seeing Lan Shan being splashed with wine, before he even managed to react, Gong Shaoyu had already reached the staircase; he hadn’t even had ti to call him to stop, and he’d already rushed over.
It didn’t seem as simple as him saying "She was brought by , naturally I have to protect her."
His actions clearly ca from instinct, a decision made without thinking.
However, he didn’t expose it, nodded slightly, "Alright, I have things to attend to, call a servant if you need anything."
Gong Shaoyu returned to sit by the sofa, and soon, Lan Shan ca out once her hair was dry.
Seeing his face still clouded, a hint of doubt flashed in her mind, and she couldn’t help but ask, "Brother Gong, what’s wrong with you?"
She actually wanted to ask, "Why are you angry?" but the words didn’t co out.
Because she felt, there’s not much relation between them, it’s better not to ask too much.
"Why were you distracted just now?"
Gong Shaoyu slightly parted his lips, speaking out.
"Just now?"
Was she distracted just now? When was that?
"Downstairs."
She imdiately understood what he was referring to. At that ti, she just hadn’t reacted, it shouldn’t be considered as being distracted, right?
"Didn’t you realize it was dangerous at that mont?"
At the ti, Lan Shan’s clothes were almost all wet, there were many n around watching her; if he hadn’t appeared in ti, she probably would have been led away soon.
Whenever he saw those n casting lecherous glances at her, his heart inexplicably burned with anger, yet he couldn’t figure out why he was so angry.
Just like he told Ling Haoyu earlier, she was soone he brought, if anything happened, he’d definitely have to take responsibility.
That’s what he said, yet in his heart, he didn’t believe that was why he was angry.
"Why did you stand there after being splashed with wine? Didn’t you feel embarrassed?"
He didn’t know why, but the words just ca out automatically, even he didn’t expect it.
This seed like the first ti he’d ever gotten angry with Lan Shan; whenever he thought of her standing there allowing others to look, his mood worsened, and he wanted to find soone to vent with.
