Chapter 260: Chapter 274: Just t This Afternoon

Lan Shan stared blankly at the ointnt he handed over, unable to speak for a while. Did he go and buy dicine for her?

Seeing that she had no intention of taking it, Gong Shaoyu said lightly, "Apply the dicine; it’ll heal faster."

"Thanks, I’ll apply it when I get ho." She took the ointnt from his hand, intending to put it in her bag. "Apply it now."

Hearing this, Lan Shan wanted to ask why, but when she t his eyes, she didn’t ask the question. Instead, Gong Shaoyu spoke again, saying, "If you don’t apply the dicine now, I don’t mind helping you, and at that ti, it won’t matter about distinctions between n and won."

After saying this, he turned his head to the side. Lan Shan pressed her lips together in silence, and after a while, she confird that he couldn’t see her movents, then gently lifted her skirt.

She lifted the skirt to her knee, revealing a red patch on her knee. Pressing it with her finger, it still hurt quite a bit.

She furrowed her delicate eyebrows and couldn’t help but grumble in her heart. That Jiang Yan really was sothing else.

Opening the ointnt, she squeezed so onto her knee and then spread it evenly with her hand. The cool sensation of the ointnt eased the pain considerably.

After applying the dicine, she put the ointnt away and then adjusted her skirt back to its original place. She found a tissue in the glove compartnt and wiped her hands.

Hearing the movent, Gong Shaoyu turned his head, "All done?" Lan Shan nodded, "Yes."

Two minutes later, Gong Shaoyu started the car and drove towards the Sichuan hot fish restaurant. When they arrived, the restaurant was quite full.

Compared to the bustling crowd, their seating was relatively quiet.

They ordered a serving of Sichuan hot fish and crayfish. Since Gong Shaoyu didn’t eat spicy food much, the dishes they ordered weren’t too spicy.

After ordering, Lan Shan picked up her water glass and took a sip, "Brother Gong, when did you get here?"

"Last night."

"Then, have you been in touch with Xinluo?" Lan Shan asked.

Hearing her question, Gong Shaoyu’s eyes dimd, and after a long pause, he spoke, "I just saw her this afternoon."

Lan Shan noticed the change in his mood and wisely shut her mouth. Once the dishes were served, they ate quietly without saying much.

At that mont, Gong Shaoyu put down his chopsticks and, looking at Lan Shan with so thought, asked, "Shanshan, do you have soone you like?"

Lan Shan was taken aback. Why did this topic feel a bit familiar to her? Suddenly, she rembered that Mo Han had asked her the sa question a while ago.

She paused in her eating, smiled, and said, "No!" She rolled her eyes and then asked, "Brother Gong, were you thinking of Xinluo when you asked that?"

Gong Shaoyu wasn’t much surprised, nor did he deny it, as he nodded lightly.

After a while, Lan Shan finally said, "Actually, I knew you liked Xinluo. I could tell from the first ti I saw you together."

"Was it that obvious?"

Lan Shan pressed her hand to her forehead. What did he an by ’was it that obvious’? It was very obvious, okay!

"I’ve been by her side for four years, always telling myself it’s fine, I can wait. But I only recently realized I was wrong."

If he had known this would happen, he should have taken action earlier.

"What are you saying?" Lan Shan was sowhat confused by his words.

After half a minute, Gong Shaoyu finally said, "She rejected ."

She rejected . Those words stayed in Lan Shan’s mind, unable to be shaken off. Xinluo had told her that she only saw Gong Shaoyu as a brother, and now, with a straightforward rejection, she probably hoped he wouldn’t waste any more ti and emotions.
