Noah let out a shaky breath. It had been years since he has been trying to avoid Dove in all possible ways, yet she just wouldn’t leave leave his mind. Just her thought would make his heart feel sothing. And now it was even painful when he would think that there is soone else who’s son’s mother Dove is. Noah had always known that Dove could never reciprocate the kind of feelings he had for her. And he had accepted that. But he doesn’t know why that now he is having this painful feeling in his heart.
Nothing seed to have changed, even though he has not seen Dove or has heard from for the last four years. Noah could only curse himself now, for the way he is.
Sighing he looked at Senior Sterling who was having so of his dicine, specially after the father and son duo successfully raised his blood pressure. Clearing his throat he told Senior Sterling, "Grandpa, then I should also go back ho."
Senior Sterling turned towards Noah and smiled softly before saying, "You are going already? At least have lunch." His tone was vastly different than what it was with the second branch a while ago.
Noah shook his head and said, "I will have to deny today, Grandfather. The chefs have already prepared lunch for at ho. And mom has also gone to et one of her relatives. So, I will just pass it. But thank you for asking, grandfather." And Senior Sterling nodded with a smile.
A few months after Dove had gone abroad, Noah too moved out from the Sterling mansion. The only reason he would still live there was because, his heart could not help but want to stay and see Dove. He realised that. But after all that happened and Dove left, her thoughts would haunt her even more. Every ti, he would walk down the stairs, his eyes would sub consciously go towards her room, hoping that she would co down now.
And then everything would remind him that he would not be able to see her now.
All of this made him move out of the house.
Though his mother was completely against it, and did not at all want her only son to move out and go live sowhere else, but Noah had already made up his mind. Though he would still continue to co to the mansion almost every other day, either to et his mother or Senior Sterling for work related issues.
And today too, he had co to Senior Sterling for one such case like that, that he had asked Noah to bring over. And while he was here, the second branch of Sterling family was over here, uninvited. And hence so, Noah to stayed behind to look at the drama that would unravel, especially after knowing how well Senior Sterling disliked them. And all, the drama did not disappoint Noah at all. But he also did get so shocks.
Noah walked towards the door, but the stopped and he turned behind to look at Senior Sterling and asked, "Grandfather, at approx. what ti will Dove co ho?"
Senior Sterling looked at Noah, and gave a thought before saying, "her flight will be landing at probably five in the evening. And she should be ho by seven."
Noah gulped nervously at the thought of seeing Dove after so long before asking, " Grandfather, can I... can I also co over at that ti?" To which Senior Sterling took a mont before laughing and said, "Young man, this family still considers you as own. You don’t have to ask for sothing like this. You can co over at anyti."
To which, Noah stared at Senior Sterling for a mont, before giving him a small smile and nodded his head. Then he left.
The butler who was still standing beside Senior Sterling holding the box of dicine, looking at Noah leaving, before turning back to Senior Sterling, he said, "It seems that Master Noah is still bothered about the disagreent that happened between Young Miss and him four years nack."
Senior Sterling continued to stare towards the door that Noah had left from. An glint of sothing unspoken shone in his eyes, before he smiled a little and nodded at the Butler’s words, and humd. "Yes. That may be it too."
"By the way, have you stocked the chocolate chips for the little chap? He likes them a lot?" Senior Sterling asked as he rembered them. And at that, the Butler too nodded, and said, "Yes. Senior master. We have stored a lot of them. Little master can eat as many as he likes. And hearing that, Senior Sterling nodded in satisfaction.
But the second, he put his hand over his chest and coughed roughly. The butler standing beside got concerned for a mont before he hurriedly presented tissues and water near him, in case he needed any of them first.
And when Senior Sterling’s coughing stopped. They saw that his hands were filled with blood that had co up with the coughs.
"Senior master..." The Butler trailed as he did not know what to say, and looked at them with worry. Senior Sterling took the tissue from the Butler’s hand with his own shaky hands before trying to wipe his mouth and hands. But the Butler was soon to help him, himself. After he was done, he heard Senior Sterling chuckled faintly and said, "Joe," He called the Butler’s na and said, "I don’t think I call stay around for much longer."
Butler Joe was instantly displeased and he said, "Master, you can’t say," But before he could finish, Senior Sterling cut his words and said, "No, Joe. I can feel my own health. It is not in a very good state. I know.. I can feel. I can feel that I can not go on for much longer."
"Old Master..." Joe did not know what to say.
"But before I go, I need to do a few little more important things. And then I will at least have my souls at peace."
