Dove bit her lips, closed her eyes and shaking her head. Gosh! What was I even thinking! Sighing, he opened her eyes to find that Dante was also looking her way, with a small smile. Dove pursed her lips, before she made her way to where he was standing. Standing next to him, she looked at the grill, and really, a delicious aroma hit her nose, making her mouth water.
Looking up at him, she smiled at him a little and said, "This slls really nice. May I help you with sothing, Dante?" Dante turned to look at her and shook his head and said, "Thank you for complinting. But no, thank you, you don’t have to help . Or maybe, you can help by standing beside , and enjoying the view and maybe talk to ."
And just when Dove heard him say that, her eyes again inevitable went to his biceps and body, before she quickly averted her eyes elsewhere! Gosh! He doesn’t an that when he said ’Enjoy the view, stupid."
To change the topic, and avert her attention from the wherever her brain was wandering away to, Dove said, "A barbeque night’s plan today? Is there sothing special tonight, Dante?" She asked curiously. After all, they did not have any such plan until the evening.
And all of a now here they were.
Dante put the cooked pieces on the plate, and then turned to look at Dove and gave her his charming smile and said, "Gavi told that you love barbeque." Dove blinked an nodded her head saying, "Yes, I do like barbeque. But..." She trailed on realisiing sothing and t his eyes, only to see him shrugg. "So, today’s night is for you, Dove. Because all I know is that having sothing being arranged that you like feels really nice." Moreover, Dante was just finding ways to make her happy.
Dove for a mont looked at him, lost. Then a beautiful and heart felt smile graced her lips, and she lowered her eyes. It was not the first ti soone was arranging a barbeque night because she liked it. Back when abroad, Lisa would sotis initiate to have it. And the three of them would have it together. But this ti, Dove couldn’t really pinpoint why, but it felt special. She chuckled and then looked up at Dante, her eyes gentle and she said, "Dante, it has not been very long that we know each other. But here you are making feel as if we have known each other for years."
Dante too chuckled and tilted his head to the side, and said, "Then, Miss Dove Sterling. I am taking this as a complint." The two of them laughed a little, before Dante asked her softly, "Dove, did you like it?" Dove looked at Dante, a small smiled on her lips, and she slowly nodded her head. Then looking around everyone enjoying themselves, specially her son who was now playfully bickering and teasing his grandma, her heart filled with warmth and she said, "I loved it. And do you know what I specially love about these kind of nights? Everyone being around together, playing, giggling and enjoying themselves. It is this type of joys that let us going even in the hardest of tis."
And saying so, she then looked at the delicious food that was waiting to be spread on the table, and giggled. "And then the food obviously cos next."
As the two of them were talking, Senior Sterling turned his attention towards them, and smiled. Seems like Dante is doing his job quite well. And he nodded his head. And just a minute later, Gavi ca up to them, and he pulled Dante’s apron, making them look at him and he whined, "Chef! I am feeling hungry now!"
Dove pursed her lips in a smile and Dante nodded and said, "Yes, the food is almost done. We only need to set the table up now." And on hearing that the food is ready, and that he could finally eat now, Gavi happily skipped to the table and said, "Alright, let’s set up the table!"
Dove’s smiled widened as she turned to look at her son and said, "Let go and set up the table." Dante nodded his head, and prepared on cooking at the batch of food.
During the dinner, everyone had a feast as they enjoyed it. Though, Senior Sterling couldn’t eat too much of the barbeque at, due to his health, but he still enjoyed more than he would usually nonetheless, and said, "The food today is really amazing. Young man, you have grown up in front od , yet you never told that you could cook so well." Freya agreed with Senior Sterling and said, "It would have been nice, if I had seen how you prepared it. Will you give a detailed recipe later, Dante?"
Dante smiled at them all, and nodded his head saying, "Sure aunty. I will give it to you anyti you like."
Gavi sat there relishing on every bite of food that he was having, and his mouth was sared with sauce all around, he licked his fingers, and then looking at Dante he said with bright eyes, "Uncle Dante, you should make sothing good for regularly, you know. You are a good cook." Dante did not say anything and looked at the little boy amusingly.
It was then that Dove leaned towards him, and said softly, "Dante, the Chef, I think you made a mistake by exposing yourself that you can cook this good."
Dante raised his brows and looked at her curiously and asked, "Really? And why do you think so, Dove?" Dove chuckled and said, "Because now you are going to be pestered by my little glutton to cook him sothing nice regularly."
"Is it?" Dante chuckled, and then asked, "Then would you like it if I cook sothing regularly?" Dove looked at him, not expecting that question. And averting her gaze, she shrugged a little and said, "You seem to cook nice."
Dante then reclined back saying, "Then I don’t mind." And he put a piece of at in his mouth.
