The whole mansion was engulfed in silence for a good mont, with Roan and Philip lowering their heads.
Cara had her heart racing as she saw everything going downwards, not knowing what she was supposed to do. How did the whole situation go south ward!
Just then she realised sothing, if Dove had these things against her family already, that ans she was only using the her as an excuse and a scarpgoat! And before she even gave it a more detailed thought, and combined with the dear growing in her heart, she blurted out, "But you-"
But before she could even say anything else, her hand was yanked back by her husband and the next second, Philip’s voice bood in the room, "Shut up, Cara!"
"..." Cara was shocked to her core, looking at Philip with big eyes. Looking at his bloodshot gaze, she knew that he was just a little away from maybe slapping her.
And at this, Noah and specially Freya was a little started. And she instinctively took a step forward in case sothing happened by mistake. She opened her mouth to say sothing, but then she closed her mouth, not knowing what could she say between a husband and a wife, specially when the situation was so complicated.
"You are not going to say a word! You understand! It all started because of you! So if you open your mouth one more tis, and the situation get worse, I swear Cara, I am going to rip that tongue out of your mouth!" Philip warned Cara, his voice sharp and low, heavily restraint with anger.
Cara, who wanted to say sothing in her defence, instantly shut her mouth and lowered her head. anwhile, Dove looked at them completed unbothered as if nothing happening here had anything to do with her.
Philip closed his eyes, to contain the frustration and anger growing in his mind and heart.
According to him, his wife had played a very big role in accelerating the situation. If not for her than as Dove said she wouldn’t bring any of this out, and everything would be going smooth between them.
He opened his eyes to et his son’s gaze, who looked equally worried and stressed about this whole situation. Roan too was pissed about this situation and had sa thoughts like his father.
And they turned towards Dove, and looking at her innocent expression, Philip could swear his blood pressure sky rocketed.
Talking a deep breath again, Philip though to himself that he had to control the situation. He couldn’t allow it to spiral out of control.
Because there were a list of lots of companies. And if it were to co out in the public, the liability would be unimaginable. Specially now that a few companies has risen in power. But at that ti, they were not able to do anything.
Because, Davis Enterprise had not left them any chance to hold against them. And most of those were new companies, who were unimportant and had minimal to no say in the market. What could they do about them?
And like wise, majority had not made it to the market. But a few did. And now they were gaining so recognition. But they don’t have any proof to hold against them. re words don’t work in this world. Especially against powerful ones. People take it as slader.
But if Dove released these proofs, then those companies will also get sothing to hold against them! And it would add to more trouble. Not to ntion, they shock prices would fall very heavily!
After all, in their industry related to beauty, a scandal works as a wildfire, that carries the potential to cause very large trouble.
Also, the business partners would also question their trustworthiness.
Pressing his lips together, Philip ntally prepared about what he should be saying next. And they he cleared his throat and put on a forced smile, that looked worse than crying. And said, "CEO Dove, coming to see everything, it looks like a huge misunderstanding. And obviously, and my family is most in the wrong."
Hearing him, Dove raised her eyebrows slowly, ’Wow! Such respect all of a sudden?’ she thought in wondernt. Even Dante behind sneered a little.

Hearing her husband say that, Cara widened her eyes. What does he an by that! Dove was not even ten percent humiliated in comparison with how she did to her in front of her friends! Cara thought bitterly.
She really wanted to say that out and slap that fake innocent expression that Dove had on her face.
Hut just then, her gaze t her son’s, and as if Roan could read what was going on in his mother’s head, his face hardened and he gave her a curt shake of head.
At this, Cara could only gritt her teeth, seething in anger.
And on the other side, Philip was busy coaxing Dove, "CEO Dove, you are young but despite that you are quite remarkable in what you do. And we are all business people. So let’s not create unnecessary trouble for each other. At least for the sake of our families working together for many decades. Let’s keep these all aside, and work together again. Why do we need to create unnecessary trouble for one another, isn’t it?
We must just give up the hard feelings, and the past, and work again on making mutual profits, am I not right, CEO Dove? Davis Enterprise is also ready to make so adjustnts to make it happen. Anything that CEO Dove would like to."
Listening to Philip give those morals filled lectures, one would find it hard to believe that he was the one who himself had the idea of opposing the Sterling Corporations by taking so asures. And now he was border line begging Dove to not do the sa to his company.
