Delia wanted to snort and say, "Don't you an that he shouldn't do it for his harlot concubine but for his bastard son?"
But she didn't say what she had in mind. Instead, she kept quiet and watched calmly.
Augustus shook his head. "No. What you're asking for is for to beco a villain to the boy. I don't want to do that because I don't want to partake in the evil you have committed."
"Besides, I don't care much about him. If he wants to live on his own and you can't stop him, then let him leave on his own. If you truly care about him, you will continue to stop him."
She asked with a frown, "Are you saying I should continue to maim our son? Because that's the only way to stop him from leaving."
He shrugged. "I don't care. Maim him or not. That's up to you."
Lady Vena beca upset. She stood up with a huff and said, "Fine. Be useless to . The one ti I ask you for sothing, and you disappoint completely. If sothing happens to him, I'll bla you."
She said that and left in a huff, leaving the husband and wife behind.
Lady Delia didn't say anything. She was deep in thought because she had a lot to digest ntally.
She has just heard a lot of incredulous things that she finds very difficult to believe. It will take a lot of ti before she can co to terms with an eleven-year-old boy at the seventh transformation of the first mortal coil and maybe take advantage of the situation.
Augustus didn't look at her as he said, "I have so experience with scheming and cunning won, so I recognize the look of contemplation on a woman's face when she is coming up with a sche."

Lady Delia's face changed when she heard that. She hurriedly explained, "I don't have anything planned for him."
He simply nodded as if he believed her. "I sure hope so. I hope that his leaving the protection of the family doesn't an you have finally gotten the opportunity to make moves on him."
"I don't like to waste my ti. I have just taken so of my ti and effort to make that warning. So please make sure that it doesn't go to waste. Not only will you gain nothing if the boy is hard or dies, but you will lose a lot if that were to happen."
He said that and drank so water. Then his figure disappeared from the sitting room.
He had finished eating, so it was ti for him to leave. But he made sure to leave that warning before he left.
He didn't leave the warning because he cared about his bastard in particular. He left it because he cared a lot about order in the family.
If family mbers start scheming against each other, the family won't be far from being destroyed. Such things will weaken them and waste ti and effort that they should use to defend against their enemies.
It is not sothing he wants to see. So he warned her seriously.
He is a big supporter of unity and cooperation in the family. That's why he supports the oath. If Delia doesn't take his warning seriously, there will be hell to pay.
Delia doesn't know much about her husband because he is rarely around. She has only seen him a few more tis than Vena has seen him despite Vena not living in the sa house with him.
She only sees him when he shows up for important etings like the one that just occurred. So she knows very little about him.
But she knows enough to take his warning seriously. Unfortunately, that doesn't an she is going to stop going after the bastard boy.
She won't stop. She is just going to be smart about it.
Her plan is to act using soone else who would take the bla. It is preferably soone who Augustus won't be able to resist easily. And she won't go too far either to prevent a disastrous fallout.
So after he left, she continued scheming. Many figures possessing authority in the family flashed through her mind as she put her plan together.
She said to herself, "This might even make look good too."
Soon her plan ca together. She liked it so much that she smiled. Then she put it into action imdiately.
She called out to the maids, "Start the preparation for a party. It is not every day that a boy has his blood flowing rites of passage. It should be celebrated in a grand manner."
The maids and servants began to prepare for the party. It is a party for Arthur, and it will be grand. She didn't lie about that.
She will be inviting a lot of people in the family to the party and bringing in a lot of perforrs. A lot of food will also be prepared. The party will be truly grand.
Of course, the party is just a ans to an end. She is not spending so much money because she cares about her bastard stepson. But she wants an opportunity to ensnare Vena and her son, so she is helping Arthur throw a party.
To make sure that her plan will be able to take off, she began preparing the invitations imdiately and began sending them out as soon as an hour after.
Despite her rush, Augustus still managed to get wind of the party before the invitations could be sent out.
This was because the mansion, most of the servants, and the guards belonged to him. So very little that happens in the mansion can escape his attention. Especially not imdiately after he explicitly warned the head of the guards to monitor Delia closely.
