In order to prove her point of being able to defeat Author, she used her special talent and sped up to create so distance between herself and Arthur.
Arthur snorted and also sped up to catch up with her. He hadn't been flying at his top speed, so it was easy for him to catch up to her.
Her talent for improving the power of lightning had evolved when she reached the third mortal coil and fourth mortal coil. It proved to go from a 20% boost to a 50% boost and then to a 100% boost in power.
When this talent is combined with the amplification of the armant, it ans that she can improve her power to three tis its normal level. But Arthur was still able to catch up to her easily.
He could even surpass her, but he didn't just to edge her on. He caught up to her and asked confidently, "What else have you got?"
His confidence lay in the fact that he can enhance his power by five tis due to the boost of the Mountain Karma divine ability.
Unlike her talent, which only has an additive effect with the boost from her armant, the boost from the Mountain Karma divine ability has a multiplicative interaction with the boost from his armant.
So his maximum power can go up to ten tis his normal level, while hers is only up to three tis. So he is confident that he can take on and overco whatever she can dish out.
This proved to be the truth because no matter how fast Storm Hawk tried to speed up, he was always able to keep up with her. This remained the case until they had to stop when they reached the teleportation halls.
The two of them entered the teleportation halls and were sent out of the sect. They glared at each other all the while they were doing this.
They were still glaring at each other when they reached the city. They didn't stop glaring until they left the teleportation hall and went their separate ways.
Arthur went to set up the flying boat to take the people of the sect to leave while she went to set up the welcoming banquet and checkpoint to receive the people of the Purple Flower sect that would be arriving today.
After he left the teleportation hall, Arthur rose to the air to overlook the whole city. He did this to spot the location that was assigned for him to set up the flying boat. But as he looked at the city, he saw sothing intriguing.
He saw that there was soone with a violet fate in the city. This was the only person other than the patriarchs who he has seen with this kind of fate. Most of the people he has t have a blue fate or weaker.
From the weakest to the strongest, Fate was Black. Brown. White. Green. Blue. Violet. Red. Orange. Yellow or bright gold. So a violet fate is a grade six fate.
He can't do anything significant to assist the patriarchs and bind their fate to his, but he thought that he should be able to do sothing useful for this person. So he decided to see the owner of the fate before going to set up the flying ship.
The fate was violet and small enough to match the size of the fate of those at the third mortal coil. Their fate was also in the shape of a puppet on strings.
The fate looked like a marionette. He was sure that this should an sothing, but he didn't know what it ant, so he ignored the peculiar shape of the fate.
His quest to find the owner of the fate led him to a shop in the city. This was a shop that sold cultivation techniques, spells, artifacts, and arrays.
Unlike other shops that focus on selling a single category of items, there was a little of everything in this shop. But there was only one shopkeeper in the entire place.
This single person was rushing around attending to every custor. He looked tired and ready to drop at any mont, but he didn't stop working for a single mont.
The shop appeared to be doing well, as it had a lot of custors. But Arthur wasn't sure that this was a good thing for the lone shopkeeper managing the entire floor of rchandise.
However, after examining the shopkeeper for a while, he noticed that the man was at the third mortal coil. The man also had a lot of mana within him. This ant that the man was strong enough to handle the stress and was unlikely to fall soon.
It was only likely, though. Arthur couldn't be sure about the state of the man's mind at all.
If the man's mind tires out, he will beco unconscious despite having a lot of energy within his body. So the possibility of breaking down was still there.
Aside from the fact that the whole shop was being attended to by a single person, another thing that Arthur found interesting was the fact that this man was a cultivator at the third mortal coil.
This was interesting because cultivators at the third mortal coil outside of sects are usually elder-level figures of cultivation families. Loose cultivators rarely make it to the third mortal coil with the support of a family or force.
And regardless of how soone managed to reach the third mortal coil, they are respected in society and rarely do Manuka labor. So Arthur was intrigued as to how a foundation establishnt cultivator managed to beco a shopkeeper, and a lone shopkeeper too.
This made him think to himself, "Is he being forced by soone to do this? I don't believe that it is his hobby to run a large shop on his own and be run ragged every day. Maybe I could use this to help him and bind his fate to mine."
