The entrance into the inner sect was at the bottom of a lake. This lake was sowhere in the outer section. But it had been hidden so it couldn’t be found without the sect ID card.
When they entered the entrance and ca out of the lake in the inner sect, they had to be inspected again before they were allowed to leave.
But this ti, the inspection didn’t take long because so powerful people in the sect had co to receive Arthur. These powerful people didn’t want to wait longer, and they could tell that he wasn’t an imposter, so they cut the inspection short.
The three powerful people were one flying golem, one being made completely of lightning, and one green humanoid feminine plant. He had t the flying golem before, so he knew that the three of them were likely to be the current three patriarchs of the sect.
Their appearance startled Arthur. He didn’t expect to see them at all, so he asked Elder Storm Hawk in secret with his divine sense, "Do the three patriarchs show up to greet every new disciple of the inner sect or is there sothing going on here that I don’t know about?"
She chuckled mischievously and said, "First of all, these are their avatars, not their true self. Secondly, they are indeed here for you. Prepare yourself."
He already suspected that the three figures were not their real bodies when he didn’t see any fate above their heads and when he saw that one of them was just made of energy.
He didn’t think it was possible for soone to be made of energy, so he wasn’t surprised when she confird that these three figures were the avatars of the three patriarchs.
However, he was very surprised that these three avatars were here. Especially since it didn’t make much of a difference to him if these were their avatars or real bodies.
So he asked her angrily, "Don’t tell you didn’t know about this before. Were you hiding it from ?"
She didn’t reply. She only smirked in amusent.
Her reaction pissed him off. He said, "Mark my words. Prepare yourself for retribution. I will not be lenient with you at all even if you used to be my supervisor."
She replied provocatively, "First all, you will need to be able to defeat before you can consider being lenient and holding back. Secondly, I won’t hold back when I beat you. I won’t care that you used to be my student let spare you from your beating."
He was about to say sothing in anger when one of the three patriarchs said to him in amusent, "Thirdly, communicating with your divine sense is not secretive in front of a nascent soul cultivator."
His face fell when he heard what was said. But he quickly recovered his facial expression and bowed in greeting, "I greet the esteed patriarchs of the sect."
The patriarch that spoke earlier asked him, "Tell , are you afraid? Are you very afraid?"
He had heard that voice before so he recognized who spoke. It was the genius nascent soul capable of producing teleportation arrays.
From what he knew about this genius patriarch, the man was eccentric and liked to ss around with people. So Arthur didn’t take the question seriously.
He indeed felt so pressure because of their appearance. He also felt so fear because he didn’t know why they were here for him. But he tried to remain calm.
He lied between his teeth and said, "I am only partially afraid, patriarch"
His answer caused the patriarch to laugh. It was a clear laughter of amusent that was out of place from its source.
The golem was expressionless and had no mouth, so it was already odd that a voice was coming from it. But when he rembered that the Patriarch is communicating with his divine sense, it made sense that an expressionless golem could laugh.
When the golem began to laugh, the humanoid plant scolded him, "Don’t put undue pressure on the child."
The golem didn’t listen to her and continued to laugh. This made the humanoid plant sigh in frustration.
She also chose to ignore him and said to Arthur, "Be at peace, young one. There is nothing to fear."
"I am Daoist Evergreen. I am one of the patriarchs of the Blood Skull sect. I have co together with my peers to congratulate you on the success of establishing your foundation with the two elents of lightning and wood."
"It is truly an impressive achievent. It is made all the more impressive with the level of balance and harmony between the two elents that you have achieved. I for one I’m impressed."
"But aside from coming to congratulate you, we have also co to fulfill one of the missions that the Blood Skull sect was tasked with. We have co to complete the main task of the founders of the sect."
"For that, we will need your help. It will be quick and easy, so you don’t have anything to worry about."
The humanoid figure made completely out of lightning who had been silent all of this ti finally decided to speak.
He said, "I am Lightning Drake."
Then he beca silent and said nothing more than that.
The golem tsked and said to Arthur, "Ignore him. Act like he isn’t here."
His tone was crass, but Evergreen agreed with him. She explained to him patiently, "As long as you don’t offend him, he might as well not be here. But once you offend him, you will definitely disappear. So the best thing for you is to not have any reason to interact with him."
Arthur gulped. He didn’t doubt that the guy who could attach his consciousness to a ball of lightning could make him disappear if he got angry.
The golem patriarch said with so annoyance, "That’s exactly what I said."
She ignored him, so he continued speaking. He said to Arthur, "I am Sword Flash. Now that introductions are complete, let’s get this thing over with."
