The blood they sucked went into the formation in the fur coat. Then the life energy was used to activate the core of the fur coat. Once activated, the fur coat ca alive.
That was the best that Arthur could describe it. It felt as if he was carrying a wolf on his back. The fur coat was getting heavier as it drained his life energy.
So he was facing both physical stress from the heavy armant on his back as well as the stress caused by the severe blood loss. This is why Elder Storm Hawk asked him to reach the fourth mortal coil before trying it.
If he didn't have a strong body, he would collapse now due to the combined stress. But he had a strong body and a lot of life energy, so he was able to withstand the stress.
Next ca the elental stress. As the fur beca alive, it also began to drain his internal energy and used it to produce lightning.
