Arthur didn't have any doubts before he heard this. But if he did, those doubts have definitely disappeared after hearing what made the Blood Skull sect so special.
As for the matter of the danger of being diocre, he isn't worried about it for two reasons. The first reason cos from his confidence in the Mountain Sitting Dao.
Thanks to the empowernt of Mountain Karma, he can't be diocre no matter how bad his talent is. At the very least, he will always be able to fight those who have a higher cultivation than him.
The second reason he is not worried about being diocre in the Blood Skull Sect is because they offered him an S-grade invitation. That kind of invitation ans that they have seen sothing special about him and are confident in helping him reach his maximum potential.
So he has both internal and external reasons to be confident in himself. With these two reasons, he can't be worried about being diocre. The more he heard, the more excited he beca about joining the Blood Skull Sect.
He began looking forward to leaving and joining them. He wanted to leave the class as soon as possible.
But before the class ended, Patriarch Calcetti looked at him and said, "You have been awfully quiet. I noticed that you were paying attention to what was said, so I know that your quietness wasn't because you weren't paying attention to the lesson. But I still have to insist that you ask at least one question."
Arthur thought for a while and asked, "Is diocrity the only thing to worry about in the Blood Skull sect? Are there any other caveats or dangers that we should pay attention to?"
The patriarch replied, "There are many things that I don't know about the internal workings of the Sects. So I'm sure that there are a lot of things that I've missed when I advised you. I can't be certain that being diocre is the only thing that one has to be worried about. There are probably hidden dangers to pay attention to."
"As a place full of strong people and with a strong atmosphere of competition, I'm sure that things won't be easy in the Blood Skull Sect. I can also tell you that if you join their sect and thrive, you will beco a giant to be reckoned with."
Then the patriarch asked him, "Do you have any other questions?"
Arthur shook his head in reply.
So Patriarch Calcetti nodded and said, "That is all about talking. Now co over and fill out this form. All you need to do is put down which sect you have decided to join."
"You don't need to fill out the form now. You can take your ti to think about it. But when you fill out the form, you will receive a dossier about the generation of family mbers that have gone to your sect who are still alive."
"You can use the information contained in the dossier to contact them. They might not be able to help much, but they can at least give you more information about the sect so that you will know what to avoid and what to do as possible."
Arthur's mind had already been made up, so he went up to fill out the form and receive the dossier. He was one of five people who did so. The other seven people still needed more ti to make their decision.
He filled in the form by stating which sect he will be picking, the year of the sect examination he used to gain admission, and what grade of invitation he will be using to gain admission.
When Arthur was done, he handed the form over to Patriarch Calcetti. The patriarch took the form from him and examined it.
When he saw what Arthur had written, he smiled. Then he took out a dossier and handed it over to him.
But before he could leave, the patriarch asked him, "Will you be returning ho for the farewell party, or will you register for your sect now?"
Arthur replied, "I don't have to return ho. I also don't have anyone I want to see at ho. So I'll just go and register now."
Patriarch Calcetti nodded and said, "Alright. Your father will bring over a gift from the family to you before you leave. Consider it our way of supporting you. Whatever happens in the future, you should rember that we helped you out and I gave you that golden bow."
He nodded. "I'll rember."
Then he bowed and left.
One man who was standing by the side asked hesitantly, "Patriarch, can I also not go ho for the farewell party?"
Patriarch Calcetti replied calmly, "Don't ask . Go and ask your father for permission."
The boy shrank his neck when he heard that. He could already picture his father's furious face, so he decided not to ask anymore.
Patriarch Calcetti looked calm on the surface, but inwardly he was furious. He was furious that the boy didn't want to attend the farewell party.
He thought to himself in displeasure, "It is one thing for the bastard to be exempt. But you, a true child, want to break tradition? Over my dead body."
He hadn't refused outright because he didn't want to look like he was forcing them to attend the party.
Actually, he shouldn't have to force anyone to attend the farewell party. Everyone should want to see the family one last ti and be blessed by everyone before they leave for the sect. It is tradition.
