Chapter 62: Chapter 62: Do You Know Where My Sheep Are?

(3rd Update, Please Follow) Chapter 62: Chapter 62: Do You Know Where My Sheep Are?

(3rd Update, Please Follow) At this mont,

Qingshan County,

Over thirty miles away.

Tiger Jump Gorge.

Atop the Flying Cliff.

One in front and one behind, two towering figures stood back to back in front of a cave dwelling.

The person in front was dressed in a red robe, wearing a bronze mask on his head, with hands clasped behind him; he was extrely tall, over nine feet, with a vehent fiery aura surrounding him, blurring the space around with its intensity.

And half a step to the side behind him stood a middle-aged man with a horse face, a wide nose, and a black face.

It seed sowhat uncomfortable for him to be standing next to the man in red; his forehead was lightly beaded with sweat.

“Red Flood Dragon, you’ve been looking for a long ti, have you figured anything out?”

After a while, seeing that the man in red did not speak, the horse-faced man seed a bit impatient.

“Very strong demonic energy.”

“Stronger than Yin Tiger.”

“It seems this Mountain Lord is more troubleso than we imagined!”

Red Flood Dragon spoke, using a unique tone that made his whole body resonate with a rumbling sound.

It sounded like a kind of chant.

Saying that, he shifted and moved to the edge of the Flying Cliff.

He peered down into the gorge.

Within a radius of several miles, there were broken trees, flying rocks, huge pits, and cracks in the ground – a terrifying scene.

It was hard to imagine what kind of great battle had taken place.

The horse-faced man followed and looked down.

Even though he had seen it once on the way here, it still felt shocking to see it again.

“Red Flood Dragon, what’s the matter?

Are you also scared of this old tiger?”

Red Flood Dragon, known as the strongest among their twelve.

First among the Four Venerables of the sect!

The Jiao Long Demon Seed he planted was about to be completely integrated.

The leaking of vital energy from his body was a sign that he was close to attaining the Dao.

But these twelve were all fiercely vetted from tens of thousands of sect mbers, naturally none of them were easy to deal with.

Constantly competing and scheming against each other, none would concede to the others.

“Wu Ma, put away your thoughts.”

“Although this Mountain Lord is strong, I don’t need you to provoke to kill him.”

Red Flood Dragon rely glanced sideways, giving a slight look to the horse-faced man.

His golden vertical pupils beneath the mask exuded an overbearing authority.

Wu Ma’s face slightly stiffened.

He shook his sleeve.

Then he changed the subject, saying:

“This Mountain Lord has even abandoned his cave dwelling, who knows where he has gone, how should we search for him?”

“This guy probably killed Wei Yang, obtained the Golden Scale, and made a clean escape.

No matter how vast our Divine Skills, it’s useless.”

Speaking, his expression beca sullen,

“Even if Wei Yang is dead, we must not lose this item.”

“As the date for the Tao Fruit Conference in Ten Thousand Mountains is drawing near, lacking this pathway will an fewer Demon Seeds, and even more Demons.

If our Main Altar’s strength to break through the Prefecture barriers weakens, we might all be dragged down by this!”

These words indeed did not exaggerate the gravity of the situation.

Within the Divine Sect, mbers are cold-hearted, many having lost their humanity upon planting a Demon Seed.

The Golden Scale had significant use for the Divine Sect.

Missing one was a great loss.

Hearing this, Red Flood Dragon did not retort but pondered for a mont.

“You continue to look for so clues here.”

“I will search in the surrounding areas, capture so spirit monsters and little demons from the nearby forests for interrogation, and see if we can find that Mountain Lord.

I’ve checked here; there are other faint traces of demonic energy lingering, probably from the little demons under that Mountain Lord’s command.”

Having finished speaking, this top figure amongst the Four Venerables vanished on the spot with a flicker of his feet.

Watching Red Flood Dragon disappear towards the east, the horse-faced man’s eyes imdiately turned sinister.

Why should he be taking orders from him?

But in the end, he said nothing.

It wasn’t much later,

Suddenly, a shout ca from below the mountain,

“We’ve found it!”

The horse-faced man’s expression tightened, he stamped his foot, and his body rapidly dove down the mountain,

After a few leaps, he arrived at a broken battlefield.

Within a radius of several miles of this battlefield, a dozen or so mbers of the Feixian Sect were scattered.

They were searching for sothing.

At that mont, a sect mber crawled out from a deep fissure in the ground, seemingly having discovered sothing.

He let out a loud shout!

The figure of a man with a horse-like face quickly appeared beside that mber.

He promptly took what was in the other’s hand, placed it under his wide nose to sniff.

Then, a fierce gleam erupted in his eyes.

“No mistake, it’s from that foul-slling goat.”

What he was holding in his hand was a twisted black horn with a large chunk of skull attached to it.

Indeed, it was one of the horns that used to adorn Wei Yang’s head after his demon transformation.

But after his physical body was shattered by Chen Yuan, this goat horn, hard as iron, was left behind.

The man with the horse-like face was all too familiar with Wei Yang’s scent.

He recognized it!

That ant Wei Yang had indeed died on this battlefield.

And his body was utterly destroyed.

Perhaps, that piece of Golden Scale was left here, not acquired by the Mountain Lord.

He quickly shouted commands,

“Search for , dig three feet into the ground if you have to, but find the rest of this foul-slling goat’s body.

If anyone discovers a piece of golden scale, I will heavily reward them!”

“Yes!”

The sect mbers responded in unison and began searching within a few miles’ radius of the fractured battlefield.

At first, there were discoveries.

Pieces of flesh were found, still adorned with crimson fur.

But later on, the findings grew sparse, and even after turning over every square mile, there were no more discoveries.

Not a trace of the golden scales could be seen.

At last, the man with the horse-like face, growing impatient, ordered his subordinates to expand the search area several miles beyond its original scope.

Thus, a dozen sect mbers followed orders, their figures disappearing into the surrounding mountain forests.

There was so initial commotion.

But later,

It gradually fell silent.

Initially, the man with the horse-like face didn’t notice anything amiss, assuming his subordinates had gone deep into the forest, focusing on their search for clues.

But as ti passed,

Not a single one returned.

That’s when he realized sothing was wrong.

Just as he was about to set out to investigate,

A distant and clear song resonated from the western mountain forest.

“When spring winds blow in the third month, it sweeps across March,”

“Driving the flock of sheep, you left your ho”

Singing a Xintianyou song

………..”

The song, growing closer, pierced through the forest.

Loud and clear.

The man with the horse-like face watched the direction from which the voice was coming with a pair of shocked and uncertain eyes.

Quickly, a flock of sheep erged from the forest ahead.

One, two, three…..

Roughly a dozen or so.

Then, a shepherd wearing a straw hat and coarse linen clothes, with a stooped back, appeared within the man’s view, herding the sheep.

He frowned…

Why would an old shepherd appear in this deep mountain forest?

It was quite odd.

The old shepherd continued herding the sheep, singing the Xintianyou, seemingly oblivious to their presence, carrying on forward.

The man with the horse-like face stomped his foot, sprung into the air, and landed heavily on the ground.

He stood in front of the shepherd.

His horse eyes stern, he stared at the shepherd, each word asured.

“Who are you?”

The shepherd raised his head,

“My sheep are lost, I am searching for my sheep.”

“Do you know where my sheep are?”

(ps: Third update, it’s Monday, asking for followers, today is the day to determine Sanjiang, although it’s failing, I still want to struggle a bit, thank you!)
