Chapter 77: Chapter 77: There is a Cat Called Sang Biao Chapter 77: Chapter 77: There is a Cat Called Sang Biao Speaking of tabby cats, there were plenty in the mountain village.

Every household had one, and they were all free-range.

The vast majority were black tabbies, fierce and easy to keep alive, with extrely robust health.

Pedigree cats were rather difficult to keep alive in the mountains, if kept indoors they were okay, with few dangers, but if let outside, they could easily fall ill.

There was a Boss among the village cats.

In such a large village, there would always be a few particularly formidable tabby cats.

When these cats appeared, the others would scatter and hide.

Cats are very intelligent animals.

Xu Yang took so sausage sticks from his family’s shop and headed to the road in the village.

Those sausage sticks were the “salary” he had prepared.

In so urban communities, when a pet cat goes missing and the owner doesn’t know where it is, they would feed the stray cats in the neighborhood.

Then they would also show the stray cats a photo of their own cat.

“This is my cat, it hasn’t co ho, can you help look for it?”

If people found the right stray cat, their pet cat would return the next day.

However, upon its return, it would generally appear beaten and dejected, clearly having been roughed up and chased back ho.

Stray cats are pretty smart too.

After getting so cat food, they would help out with the work.

Xu Yang was aiming to recruit two formidable “cat employees” first.

They had to be stray tabby cats, and of the Cat King caliber.

Xu Yang actually knew two such cats.

He wandered down the road.

After a short while, he arrived near the village committee.

In front of the committee, there was a courtyard with a large open space and a closed senior center.

Typically, when the afternoon grew cool, many elderly liked to gather there to chat.

To spend the last monts of their lives together.

Usually, there weren’t many people around.

But there were quite a few cats.

Xu Yang rembered a particularly formidable tabby cat there, very handso looking.

Despite its cute little cat face, its gaze was exceptionally domineering, as if it had a hint of murderous intent.

Ordinary cats didn’t dare provoke it.

Previously, when a cat challenged it, the tabby would butt its head against the other’s, staring intently with its eyes.

As if to say:

“Look in the eye, you little runt!”

The challenger, terrified, would arch its back, get slapped a couple of tis, then turn and run, being chased for several dozen ters.

Xu Yang had nad this tabby cat “Sang Biao.”

While other people’s pets would be called “ow ow” at ho, only to go outside and be Sang Biao.

This tabby was a genuine Sang Biao.

The real Sang Biao.

His purpose for coming here today was to see if he could entice Sang Biao to the farm, or at least have it visit the farm from ti to ti.

Xu Yang arrived at the small plaza, looking for signs of Sang Biao.

At that mont, Sang Biao, with his leisurely and unhurried pace, ca strolling along the edge of the wall.

He appeared very calm, as though inspecting his territory.

Tabbies love to fight, with black tabbies and yellow tabbies being the most belligerent among the dostic breeds.

The forr are generally a bit more formidable.

Watching the approaching Sang Biao, Xu Yang imdiately took out the sausage sticks and unwrapped them.

“Sang Biao!”

“Sang Biao!”

Xu Yang called out in the direction of the tabby cat.

The cat heard the call and looked in Xu Yang’s direction.

Seeing Xu Yang watching it, swaying the sausage sticks in his hand, the tabby cat quickly quickened his pace, owing as it ran towards him.

Feeding stray cats requires caution.

Previously, soone feeding a stray cat, while holding a sausage stick, barely started breaking off a piece to feed, and the next second, the cat climbed up their clothes.

They might even scratch the hand of the person feeding them.

These fellows, when hungry for a while, have strong hunting skills and are quite wild in nature.

It’s different from stray dogs, which usually know their place and wait quietly, so when feeding them, you can take it slow.

Xu Yang held the tail end of the sausage stick, reaching it out to the cat.

The tabby cat opened its mouth and began to rapidly tear at the sausage stick.

It relished the al.

Primarily because the sausage had a strong aroma and a pleasing texture, a favorite among cats.

This Tabby Cat showed restraint, watching Xu Yang while eating the sausage without any excessive movents, which indicated it was a rather clever cat.

“Sang Biao, this is your protection fee,”

“I’ve started a farm, and we’re beginning to see mice in the fields. Co and take a look,”

“Help catch the mice,”

Xu Yang told the cat as he fed it.

He didn’t know if the cat understood him or not.

But the Tabby Cat was quite extraordinary.

While listening to Xu Yang, the Tabby Cat continued to gulp down the sausage bite by bite.

Xu Yang tore open the last of the packaging and fed it all to the cat.

Then he fetched a second sausage, tore open the packaging, and handed it over.

Paying an enforcer required sincerity.

“If possible, bring so of your underlings as well,”

“Apart from mice, there are weasels in the mountains,”

“I’ll need you to keep an eye out,”

Xu Yang added.

Cats are considered natural enemies of weasels, and a fair number of weasels have been killed by cats.

However, most of the ti, cats can’t be bothered with them since, to a cat, weasels are nowhere near as tasty as mice.

The Tabby Cat finished the second sausage and looked up at Xu Yang.

It had quite an attractive appearance.

The Tabby Cat was quite good-looking, especially this one, with a strong body, a big round head, and rather sharp eyes.

In the eyes of other cats, the Tabby Cat was certainly a heartthrob.

Seeing no more sausage in Xu Yang’s hand, the cat’s tail perked up, and it leisurely walked away.

It wasn’t clear whether it had understood or not.

But Tabby Cats have always done as they pleased.

Many villagers kept cats, letting them roam free. These creatures were crafty; you wouldn’t see them during the day, but they always returned at altis.

They ca ho to sleep at night, and at five or six in the morning, they were out playing again.

Sotis they ca back covered in wounds.

The villagers were used to it.

All the cats in the village were like that.

Sotis, during the holidays, young people from the city would co back with their pet cats.

The village cats would gather around to observe these pet cats.

These pets were clean, neutered, and even dressed in little clothes.

Upon discovering the other was a eunuch, the village cats would display a puzzled look:

“I knew city cats were clean, but I didn’t expect them to be this clean.”

After feeding the Tabby Cat, Xu Yang left.

On his way, he fed two more cats, still talking about inviting them to his farm to catch mice.

Unknown to Xu Yang, after he left, both cats were beaten up by Sang Biao,

who chased them and beat them until they lay on the ground and gave in.

The implication seed to be:

“What status do you have to eat the sa sausage as ?”

That evening, Xu Yang rested in the farmyard.

It had been another busy day.

Just then, he suddenly heard a series of urgent owing.

“ow! ow! ow!…”

Hearing the noise, Xu Yang imdiately walked toward its source.

When he got there, he saw that Sang Biao had already arrived at the farm at so point, mouth gripping a gray and white mouse.

So cats liked to show off their prey to their owner, waiting for the owner to acknowledge them before eating.

After all, if the boss doesn’t see the work that’s been done, isn’t it like working for nothing?

“Sang Biao? You really ca!”

“Impressive!”

Xu Yang exclaid with surprise.

Upon hearing this, Sang Biao still maintained an unruffled appearance.

Afterward, it leisurely walked away with the mouse in its mouth, as if strolling in a courtyard.

Yet its tail was held high and gently swaying.

You could tell it felt quite pleased to receive the complints.
