Chapter 14: Wei’er, Tell Everything

When Wang Wei heard this, he couldn’t help being shocked. Only the Qiu sisters knew about his own cultivation, and did not let others know. How did his mother know about it? His eyes couldn’t help but glance at both Qiu sisters. They must have revealed this to his mother.

When Da Xia saw this, she couldn’t help frowning, as if she was a little dissatisfied with her son’s repeated concealnt of such thing from her, and said. “Wei’er, you don’t have to hide anything from . I’m your mother. I’ve already known about your cultivation practices for a ti, I just decided to ignore it, but now, I’m beginning to notice so things. Tell , where did your cultivation thod co from? And don’t tell you ca up with it yourself.”

After Wang Wei heard his mother’s words, he suddenly panicked. He felt like a child who had done sothing wrong and was instantly caught by the tail. Naturally, this kind of thing should not be concealed from his mother, but Taoist Feng Mo had told him that even his relatives could not be aware of it.

After all, to be on the safe side, the less people knew, the better. This was not to disrespect his parents at all.

Wang Wei took a deep breath, and imdiately bowed to his mother respectfully, and said, “Mother, it’s not that your child couldn’t tell you. It’s just that you might be afraid for your son’s safety.”

Wang Wei knew that the cultivation matters could no longer be concealed, so he beca wise and said casually.

Da Xia couldn’t help wondering: “Oh son, but it doesn’t matter. Isn’t it my work to worry about your safety, cultivation or not? Now tell what’s going on.”

.....

Wang Wei had no choice but to continue: “Mother, since I was born, there has been a cultivation thod in my mind. At the beginning, I did not know that this is a practice thod. But two years ago, your child accidentally discovered it. After practicing the exercises in consciousness, I found that this kind of exercises can make the child’s body extrely comfortable. Therefore, your son practices daily according to the exercise thod, and it is true that every day, there’s progress. Now your child’s body has changed. It’s getting stronger and stronger.”

After he finished explaining, with his big eyes blinking innocently, Da Xia was shocked. She knew he was telling the truth without any trace of doubt.

“Hong, Shuang.” Wang Da Xia said to the two won. “Serve my son sothing to eat first. I need to take him to et soone in a while.”

“Yes, clan mother.” The two girls replied.

And under the clan mother’s gaze, Wang Wei ate the food after being served.

At this ti, the sky was already bright. Most of the young and strong mbers of the clan had gone out hunting. The won of the tribe each was doing so chores, and so people were playing with dried fish and other things in the sun. The children of the tribe were laughing and playing in groups of three or five.

Under the leadership of their mother, Wang Wei, Qiu Shuang and Qiu Hong, left the tribe’s ground and walked toward the distant hillside.

Nearing the hillside, the sound of iron knocking ca from the distance. After walking a little longer, a house built with stones resolutely appeared in front of everyone. This was the yurt of the only blacksmith among dozens of nearby tribes.

At this ti, Mammoth was hamring an iron sword outside the house when he sensed so presence. He raised his head, and saw, from a long distance, four figures walking towards him.

Slitting his eyes, he found that besides the three of the Wang’s children, the clan mother was also there.

Mammoth quickly inserted the iron sword into the furnace and waited for them to reach him. He cupped his hand to greet everyone, starting from Wang Wei’s mother.

“Clan mother.” Mammoth spread his hands, held his palms up to his chest, bowed deeply to Wang Daxia, and perford a standard tribal ceremony.

It felt a bit like the archaic Jinjin’s act of making offerings.

Wang Daxia hurriedly waved her hand and smiled, “Big brother, don’t be too polite.”

Wang Daxia had never been self-contained, and always treated Mammoth as a big brother.

Seeing that his mother had brought them to find the Mammoth, Wang Wei couldn’t help thinking that since he sked the Mammoth to make the hand cannon a day before, his mother must have found out about it.

So Wang Wei went to Mammoth and asked in a low voice. “Uncle, I want to ask about the drawing?”

“Okay. I made three for you.” Mammoth also said in a low voice like Wang Wei, as if he was afraid that others would hear it. Then he glanced at the corner of the wall from the corner of his eye.

Wang Wei also looked up, and saw three hand cannon leaning against the foot of the wall neatly. They were cut from fine bronze, and were much thicker than the modern barrel of a rifle in his old world.

Wang Daxia also turned her head and glanced at the three weird-shaped objects at the foot of the wall. It was obvious that she heard the conversation between the two, but she ignored them, and turned to the Qiu sisters. “Hong’er, Shuang’er, you guard outside, don’t let other people co in.”

Later, Wang Daxia pulled Wang Wei and said to Mammoth. “Brother, let’s go inside and talk.”

“Okay, clan mother.” Mammoth made a please gesture and led Wang Daxia and her son into the stone house.

It was the first ti Wang Wei had entered the stone house, but the arrangent of things in the house was not very ssy. A dozen of iron sword were randomly piled on a wooden table in a corner of the house, and iron blocks of various sizes were piled under the table.

Next to the table was a large wooden fra, which was filled with many finished arrows, iron axes, spears, iron swords and other weapons.

On the other side of the room was a simple wooden bed with a fur mattress. He saw the color of rust hung on the fur, obviously it hadn’t been used for a long ti. Next to the wooden bed was a big box and so simple cooking utensils.

After entering the room, Wang Daxia couldn’t help but calmly face Mammoth and said with a serious face. “Brother, first check if there’s any abnormalities in Wei’er’s body.”

After Mammoth heard it, he didn’t seem to understand what was going on, but still focused on Wang Wei. Then he grabbed the veins on Wang Wei’s wrist, closed his eyes, and began to explore Wang Wei’s body with his spiritual sense.
