He is too confident.
But i felt that with such a heavy chi, he probably had every right in the world to be as confident as he was.
"So, what can you do with your chi?" He asked her as she sat across from him on the table.
Was it weird that she did not feel threatened at all even though he was so strong? She did not know why either but she had to pretend to be more fearful than she actually was.
Now, she was in his room. He had taken her with him and brought her to his hideout, which was sothing she wanted to happen.
The question played in her mind, 'What can you do with your chi?'
Obviously, she could not reveal to him what she was actually capable off, yet she also had to reveal her abilities if she wanted to keep his interest in her.
So she revealed just enough to keep him on the hook.
"I can do this." She said and showed him how she could enhance an object's trait using her chi.
The result was greater than expected as Tai Lung's eyes glowed with imnse intrigue. It seed he was truly puzzled by her abilities.
In Tibet, a person with a chi like her was not unheard of. They were called priests or priestesses and they have existed since the beginning of the Empire. Yet China had never heard of them before.
"If you can enhance other objects, can you do the sa for other people?" He asked again and she answered it with lies hidden in truth.
She said she was unable to affect other people because their chi had its own consciousness and followed their will. While this was true and made it difficult for her to weaken certain people with strong willpower, she could still do it.
Her chi commands after all.
And especially if they were not actively opposing her, she could do anything as she pleases.
Tai Lung kept questioning her afterwards and she made sure to keep his interest while also not revealing too much.

"I have decided." He started and held his gaze, " You will be staying with from now on."

But she couldn't show that.
"That's kidnapping! The guards will catch you."" She said, slamming the table as she stood up angrily - at least from the outside.
There was a mont of pause after she said that.
This was a great outco for her. After seeing the confidence in his eyes, she was hoping he would ask her to stay by his side.
Afterall, not only did she have his interest, she also revealed herself to be the enemy sent by the Empire. So of course he would want the enemy to be near where he could keep an eye on.
"Sit down.;" He ordered with a flat face and she sat back down in embarrassnt.
"What's your na?"
"i." She answered.
"Then I look forward to our ti together i. Don't worry, i will let you go after I get what I want." He said with an evil smirk. It would've scared most people but she hid a smile.
She grumbled under her breath and took out her silver bell.
Then she did what she was ordered to do.
*Ting-Ding-Ding*
His eyes narrowed and he seed to have felt sothing off even though i had not done much.
She rely lowered his sense of hearing. If before, he could hear everything in a 5-kilotre radius, now it dropped to 4.9 kilotres.
Tai Lung should've noticed it. But the only reason he did not was because he was actively holding back his hearing as well. It was ntioned before, but it was annoying to hear things so loudly all of the ti.
It was why he hated cities, especially Gongn which had constant fireworks. So since Tai Lung was in the city, he was holding back his sense of hearing. If he were to let his sense go and try to hear as far as he could, maybe then he would've realized his weakened hearing and found the cause.
But such things did not happen.
"What's that?" Tai Lung asked when he saw her bell. She told half the turth and said it was given to her by her father and she was using it as a good luck charm, which was true.
But she also left the most important part which was she was using it against him.
The difference between arrogance and confidence was that while confidence ca from a real ability to back it up, arrogance did not have the ability behind it, it was pure delusion.
Arrogant people think they are strong. Confident people know they are strong.
So i did what the Emperor had ordered.
And slowly turned Tai Lung's confidence into arrogance.
For minus 0.1 kilotre in Tai Lung's range of hearing might not seem like such a big thing. But wt was what would allow his killers to approach him unnoticed for 0.1 kilotres more.
No big action needed to be taken. Her only job was to chip away at his awareness and stregth. Like digging the soil around a grand tree so that it may fall.
Just like that, he will fall.

[3rd POV]
"Is that really all?" Master Gazelle asked in a sultry voice as she trailed her hand on the Rhinoceros' body.
She couldn't rember his na because she didn't even know how to pronounce it properly but all she knew was that he was the captain of the Northern Region of the Gupta Empire and was an important official who had just been promoted due to Samudragupta and hia army leaving to attack China.
It had been two days since they left and they would have reached Tibet by now.
"Hmm? Aren't you a curious little one?" The Captain asked with a smile that flashed his giant teeth. He spoke in what she could only call a butchered English but she could understand him.
"I am only curious about you. You have no idea how sweet it is to hear your greatness my lord." She trailed seductively, "And it makes wet." She said and sat on his lab. She wrapped her arms around his body which was flabby with thick armour-like hides before softly grinding herself on his lap, urging him to go on.
It was honestly disgusting. Nothing like Master Thundering Rhinos' powerful hide and iron-like muscles.
She hated this. She especially loathe the situation because the Rhinoceros in front of her was reminding her of Master Rhino.
But she had to do her job. She was sent to India by Shen the mont he received news of Tibet and India working together. She had been here for over two months now and it took ti to settle and gain the attention of one of the higher officials.
But now her job was about to be done.
She had been gathering all of the information she could during this ti. From the politics of the Gupta Empire, how the regional kings had a rivalry with each other, their future plans, culture, their map and the number of fortresses they had etc.
And most importantly, she had been learning about the form of power system they were following in India. It was vastly different from China's kung fu but it was powerful in its own way and in most cases, it was even better than what kung fu could ever hope to achieve.
She had seen it with her own eyes.
"Well, there was this ti when I was going to have a breakthrough and the General-" The Rhinoceros started again, she rolled her eyes as it was the sa story he had repeated four tis now.
It seed the guy had truly outlived his worth. She wanted to know more about the details on their attack plan for China. Other than just the number and position of the people in the army.
Yet it has been two days now, and she had not heard any useful information.
Either the loudmouth suddenly learned to keep a secret or he truly had no idea what was going on. It was probably the latter.
"My Lord." She whispered in his ears which prompted him to halt his boring story, "I have decided to give you sothing special today~"
She pushed him down on the bed and the Rhinoceros had wide eyes, "Really? Is today finally the day we are going to do it?" He asked, obviously hopeful.
"Maybe." She licked her lips in a hinting manner.
"But what about your Chinese family tradition of staying pure until being married?" He asked her. From his words, you could tell that he had co to genuinely care for her. Unlike how it started with pure lust.
"Well," She said and started stripping his clothes until he was fully naked on the bed. "I realized as I heard all of your stories, what were my old traditions compared to earning your favor, my lord?" She said.
She climbed on the bed and straddled him.
"Can you do sothing for first?" She asked and the guy excitedly nodded. Then she told him to pull away all his flabby hide and reveal the soft, vulnerable points in his body.
"Close your eyes please~" She said and the Rhinoceros was all too happy to close his eyes, expecting a kiss or maybe, sothing even better.

*Stab*
He opened his eyes to the scene of Gazelle looking down, gone was her alluring smile. His world turned red, he had been stabbed in his neck with a dagger.
He choked, "You!!"
He was about to move and fight back the slut. He was durable enough to not be gone after one stab but his action halted as he felt imnse pleasure shoot up his spine.
Gazelle stabbed his pleasure point with a few pins and then his body froze. His toes curled up and for the last ti, he exploded and white sen splurted out. His body trembled, his muscles tightened and loosened at the pleasure.
It was the natural instinct of an animal to be paralyzed while reaching the peak.
Such was the nature of Longi Quan, a kung fu style that took advantage of seduction and pleasure. The Captian was paralyzed with pleasure.
And that mont was enough for the poison coated on the dagger to work. That was his last and final mont as eternal darkness claid.
His only regret, was that he didn't hit.
"Ew." Master Gazelle said as she covered her nose and quickly got off his corpse. Then she locked the door and leapt out of the window to escape the cri scene.
Luckily, no one would notice it. The captain had a wife so the eting was always done in secret. That gave her at least a day to get out of the city.
She would do everything in her power to protect China. He would've wanted that too.
And Tai Lung was not going to fall while she was alive.
She won't allow it.
At least, he was only allowed to die by her hand.
