Thud!
I was watching the sundown when I saw the woman. It didn’t take her long to reach before landing beside .
The house has strong protection; even Silver Pri would feel resistance if they tried to enter it forcefully. She doesn’t need to worry about that.
"I thought I wouldn’t be able to see you before leaving," I said to Pri Syvar.
"I finished the mission quickly to see you off," she replied with a smile.
I looked at her and could tell by her eyes that she was tired. She is likely to travel long to reach here quickly.
I didn’t say anything and watched the sun go down. It is another habit I had picked up in the hope of gaining insight into the law of the Sun.
It helped a little, or it might be just .
So people think such an act inspires comprehension, while others think it is a waste of ti. Still, I like it; it makes feel peaceful.
"You know, she likes you," said Pri Syvar, and I sighed. "I know," I replied.
It was not hard to see, but I wished she hadn’t. We are both old enough to control our emotions and desires, but it did make things a little awkward.
"Alas, you have soone, and you clearly seed to love them very much," she said, and I smiled.
"I do," I replied, with the face of Marina appearing in front of .
"My granddaughter is the most talented and hardworking person I know, but since she was young, she has always been very unlucky in love," she said and sighed.
I could see the pain in the woman’s eyes and wished I could do sothing about it, but I could not.
"She will find soone," I replied.
This is the only thing I could say and hope. Dynvar has a long life ahead of her. She will find soone to love her and stand by her side.
The woman stayed on the roof for a few more minutes before walking down.
I, on the other hand, sat down and watched the whole organisation blanketed in a starry night. Like the stars above, it is also shining brightly.
It has been five days since I have been here, and tomorrow morning, I will leave.
This is a beautiful place, sowhere I could have stayed if there hadn’t been a large baggage on my shoulders. Unfortunately, I could not.
I repeated that too many tis, but it didn’t stop people from offering different positions and perks for to stay.
One of the most enticing offers is to make a mber without any restrictions. I could travel around and stay where I want, with the backing of the organisation.
It’s really an enticing offer, but I rejected.
I don’t want to be associated with any organisation. If my identity is found out, they will suffer the sa fate Tor had, and that is the last thing I want to see happen.
I pushed those thoughts away and focused on the beauty around .
If I ever settle, I want it to be a place like this, not particularly an island, but a place where officers have sufficient privacy and protection.
This place does.
The island is a fortress with a powerful formation laid down by the Golden Pri himself. I didn’t dig deep, but I could feel the power when I closed my eyes and concentrated.
Those faint vibrations are powerful enough to send a shudder through my soul.
Still, I ditate on them every day. In Tor, I was not powerful enough to sense them, but here I am, and I am using this opportunity to study them.
It might seem too useless to study sothing from Golden Pri.
Sothing that is three levels above and soone who could kill with just eyes, but I have learned a long ti ago that no knowledge is useless.
I feel its vast power and mystery, which feels like a complete unknown to .
That doesn’t an I am not getting another. I am getting a lot that I could barely hide the smile on my face.
Over an hour passed, and when I finally opened my eyes and got up, I walked down into the house. When I reached the living room, I saw both of them there with Pri Syvar cooking.
"It is slling wonderful," I praised as I sat beside Dynvar. "I wanted to cook sothing good for the last day you will be with us," she replied before focusing on the al.
It is the most complicated al she has cooked for us. It is taking all her concentration.
"Her control had improved compared to last ti," I comnted. "She had received an opportunity that helped her," replied Dynvar.
"It must be a big opportunity, look at her energy. She is very close to a breakthrough," I said, and her eyes flashed in surprise before she focused.
A mont later, shock appeared in her eyes.
It surprised that she didn’t notice that about her grandmother.
"She is close," she replied finally. She seed happy, even excited.
Pri Syvar might not be the most powerful of Pri, but she is pretty talented herself. I don’t know whether she would ever reach Silver Pri, but I know she would get very close to it.
It took an hour and a half for her to finish cooking before she laid the table.
"Thank you for the al, it looks delicious," I said, and brought out the wine. It’s not one I crafted, but one of the good ones I have, and it will be suitable with this al.
"I wanted to do it to show my gratefulness for all the help you have provided us, Pri Arys," she said.
I didn’t say anything, other than smile.
The dinner started with laughter and smiles, and it lasted for nearly two hours as we talked about nearly everything, and even after it was finished, we didn’t leave the room, until midnight.
