I was just thinking that, when she hit with another attack and then another and then another, without wasting even a fraction of a second.

Her attacks are getting powerful, as she is getting desperate.
Yes, there is desperation in her eyes. She wants to kill before she gets killed by the power.
There are no other options because if she didn't kill . She will have to run because she won't be able to handle the power for long.
When she stops, it will leave her extrely weak.
