"Take a seat, Micheal," Lord Whitmore said as I had walked into his office. "You must be wondering why I had called you in my office?"" He asked as I took the seat.
"You have a mission for ?" I asked in a hopeful voice. While in the past few days, I have improved a lot but now it is ti for to join the front; it is the fastest way I would be able to improve.
"Yes, I have a mission for you, and it is different from all the other missions you have done before," He said, which instantly made curious, and before I could ask about the mission, he tapped a few buttons and chart have appeared in front of .
"What are you trying to show , Lord Whitmore?" I asked. The chart is 'Ruin Chart' it shows all the runes are connected to our world. It is a complex thing, which I only have basic knowledge about.
The small and big points of different colors show the level of ruins, from Knights to Grandmaster class ruins are shown in the chart. Most of the ruins in the chart are Knight class; they are in thousands, while the Grandmaster class ruins are less than fifty.
"This," He said and pointed at a specific blue spot. "This is Ruin UXK679; it connected to our world forty-seven hours ago. " He said, tapping on the spot, showing the graphs our sensors are picking.
"It is without a doubt, a Grandmaster class ruin and one and the one that is from the powerful world," he added before turning to . "Your mission is to explore the ruin, map it out as much as you can within two weeks before returning safely," He ordered. To that, I nodded.
"Has Grimm Monsters have sent the people to that ruin?" I asked. His expressions have beco serious hearing that.
"They are the reason I sent you there. They have sent their people just a few hours after the ruin connected to the world before sending so more an hour ago, which have made really worried," He said.
The first ti should be explored, but them sending people again just a day after ans there is sothing to be worried about.
We are fighting a war for our survival, and this ti there is already sothing weird going on with the Grimms that have made the higher-ups worried, and if they found sothing in the ruin that would aid them in war, it would greatly affect the war.
"The Grimms already have the advantage over us; if this ruin has sothing that is going to give them an edge, then snatch it. If you could not, then destroy it, we can not let the Grimms have another advantage," He said.
"Don't worry, my lord, I will try my hardest to foil the plan of the Grimms, if they have any," I said, "I would expect nothing less, Micheal," He said.
A minute later, I walked out of the office of Lord Whitmore and now going toward the ruin gate. I had already expected I might have to leave for the mission and had said good-buy to my family.
The mission is two weeks long and with many objectives. It would be very dangerous seeing the Grimms have likely sent a couple of Grandmasters in the ruin; there might be a peak level among them which I could not anything against.
"Grandmaster Zaar, the ruin gate is ready for you." The head technician said as I had entered the hall.
I am quite surprised as it usually takes them a few minutes to make the preparations. It seed like Lord Whitmore had already ordered them, and from what I could see, there seed to be no problem.
"Thank You," I said, and armor appeared on my body, and at the sa ti, I took out the ring. I do not want the Grimms to find out I am entering the ruin, though I doubt the Grimms inside would even have ti to put the sensors across the whole ruin in just two days.
Step!
As the ring's energy had covered , I stepped into the ruin gate, and the next mont, I was in the space tunnel. I remained calm here without making the slightest movent, both physical and magical.
BAMM!
Twenty-two seconds passed when I breached the layer of the ruin and crashed hard on the solid surface.
The force was powerful enough to break the bones of the Master, but I did not care about that as the thing that caught my attention was the temperature around ; it is hot, very hot that only Grandmasters would be able to bear it.
'THIS FIRE,' Said the hidden being inside , shocking greatly. It had been quite a lot of ti since I have heard the being spoke and since it spoke about ans, whatever the fire, the being ntiontioning in an important thing.
"What fire are you talking about?" I asked, but as usual, I have got no answer from it even after waiting for a minute. Hearing no response, I shook my head and looked around.
I am in a desert which seed to be vast as the sea; I could not see any end to this white sand. I did not see any fire that the being inside had ntioned, but since it had ntioned it, it ans there must be a fire sowhere, and it is important.
I will see where I will be able to find it, but my main task is finding the Grimms and foiling any plan they have in this ruin.
Chew Chew
"Do go too far," I said to Nero, and Ashlyn ca out of and flew away from while I crouched down and picked up a fistful of white sand, which is hot enough to have burned the Master within a few seconds.
Just a minute of inspection with my abilities let understand that this sand is precious, and I had imdiately stored so of it in my storage.
