Soon, I finished making the dinner and began to set plates, and there was one extra plate than usual which made my father arched his brow at in question, the action he had learned from my mother.
"Rose, I want you to et soone," I said to my sister, who was busy staring at dinner plates hungrily, especially the sweet dish I had made.
"Who, brother?" she asked as she pulled her gaze from the glittering sweets. "Nero, Ashlyn, co out," I said, and soon both of them ca out.
My sister got surprised seeing Nero at first, but the next second, her eyes started shining like the sun, like she had seen the toy of a dream.
"Pupppppy!" She scred out loud and rang toward Nero before taking a ball of fluffs into her arms and started cuddling and kissing him. I first feared that he would react badly with my sister treating him like a toy, but to my surprise, he seed to love the affection she was showering on him and even looked at Ashlyn gloating from his sister's arms.
He wanted to see the world with his own eyes, and I have no problem as I have to reveal him sooner or later but before bringing him out. Ive warned him strictly about no talking or showing strange powers rule; he would behave like a normal regular monster even if he is not.
"Rose, eat first, or I'll ask your brother to take back Nero," Father threatened. Feeling his gaze, she grudgingly sat on her chair but also kept Ashlyn and Nero beside her and would feed half of her dinner to them.
Nero had no problem eating the regular food; he could eat them as he ate the energies and currently, he seed to be competing against Ashlyn for my sister affection, a competition in which Ashlyn had no interest in playing, she seed to be too mature to play such gas, and it is making Nero even angry.
"When did you get the new monster?" Father asked, "A while ago, there were so complications with him, but now everything had turned normal," I said.
"He seed quite different, unlike anything Ive read, and my Inheritance also seed to be getting no read from him," He said.
My father is well-read, even better than in so subjects. He spent most of his ti in the Mistson reading and researching, and his scholar type Inheritance is a big help in doing that.
We soon finished dinner, and my father had tucked my sister into sleep, though she had asked for mother. She was soon distracted by Nero and Ashlyn and fell asleep, holding them in her tiny hands.
"You should sleep too; you looked quite tired," My father, "Ok," I said, walking toward my room. He is right; I am feeling quite tired. After the breakthrough, I had battled the powerful enemies and then healed my mother, with barely any rest in between.
I fell into sleep within a few seconds of touching my head to the mattress, which is quite fast, seeing I usually take a little more ti to sleep when I am sleeping in an unfamiliar space.
I slept for ten hours, but when I woke up, I felt completely refreshed; all the signs of tiredness had vanished from my body. After freshening up and showering, I walked out, only to see my father making breakfast in the kitchen while my sister playing with Ashlyn and Nero.
I looked at her playing with Nero, and a smile couldn't help but appear on my face, especially hearing the fake 'woof' that Nero was letting out.
Nero may look like a cute wolf cub with antlers, but he is no wolf of any kind; he had just taken that form. He is a unique lifeform that falls into the Aberrant group.
"Has mom co back?" I asked, "Yes, she ca back at late night," He replied. "Has she told you what she had discussed with the Grand Commander?" I asked. To that, he shook his head.
Soon, he finished cooking the breakfast, and I felt him set up plates; I had just finished doing that when I sensed my mother. She is flying inside, not walking as people usually do, which is understandable seeing she have more control over energy than her body, and till she gets that, it is better, she does most things with her energy.
As she ca in, a shocked expression appeared on my mother's face as she saw Nero playing with Rose; she was the only person who had heard Nero talk and saw him eating her curse nucleus as if it was so kind of candy.
"Micheal, it looks like you have got a new monster?" Mom asked, "Yes, his na is Nero," I replied. "He is cute, and Rose seed to love him," she said and took a seat on the table; Rose had already eaten when my father made breakfast, so it is only three of us on the table.
"What did Grand Commander want?" Father asked without wasting even a second. Mom did not answer; she sighed and gently took my father's hands into hers. "Missions, I will be participating in the war soon," She replied and hearing that my father couldn't help but shake.
I am not surprised, seeing the progress of mother in her art, she had beco a very valuable weapon, her current value in war could say to be greater than mine. It would be useless not to use her, and mom herself accepts that she will have to; it is her duty.
"You have just recovered, and they are already sending you on the missions?" He asked, clearly not happy with the decision of higher-ups.
"It is not imdiately; I will be training and would begin the mission when I had received the green signal from my trainer and also reached the Leader class," She replied with a sigh.
It will take her a while to get her previous edge back, and by that ti, she would easily reach the leader class.. For others, it would be hard, but for her, who had obtained a mark from her Inheritance, in a month or at most two, she will reach the leader class.
