’Rose Protection!’
I said in my mind and activated my defensive skill, which I had been saving on hold since I had detected the danger.
As I activated my defensive thod, three layers of the defensive shield have materialized. They are in the form of beautiful golden maple leaves, which are thousands in numbers in all three layers, and all of them swirling around beautifully.
My defensive thod is not only looked pretty, but it is also pretty powerful; these leaves contain quite a much essence power of my runes, and now I just hope they will be able to help survive the attack of this Rhinoman which is looking at as if I am already dead.
The mont my defensive thod materialized, the long golden brown crystal thorns appeared next to them and moved toward them with destructive strength.
CLANG CLANG CLANG
Hundreds of crystals thorns clashed against my leaves, creating defeaning tallic sounds that make one believe that hundreds of people are fighting.
The crystal thorns shattered into dust as they clashed against the maple leaves of my defensive thod. The attacks of thorns are powerful, and they bring huge power with every clash and my leaves taking it all but not without cost.
One could see the clear cracks appeared on the leaves, and they are spreading fast. The power of the attack is not to be underestimated; it is huge, and if I had faced it when I ca out of the Sunlit Do, I would not have been able to defend against a single-crystal thorn, much less thousands of them.
BANG!
A loud ’Bang’ sound rang out, and gold maple leaves of first later exploded into powder; not one of them had remained, and now crystal thorns are coming at the second layer of defense where golden maple leaves are glittering with power.
The third layer has transferred a huge amount of harnessed power into the second layer, making it even more powerful; it would not be easy for the thorns to break through the second layer like the first layer.
Still, there is a chance they would be able to do it, the first layer of defense barely able to take out one-third of the crystal thorns, and there is quite a huge number that had remained.
CLANG CLANG CLANG
The thorns begin to clash with the second layer, each thorn wanting to pierce through the leaf but barely able to make a crack before turning into the dust.
All the leaves are interconnected, and the power of every attack would be equally transferred to each leaf. So, unless the attack is so powerful that it is beyond the limit of the leaf, there is no way the leaf would shatter.
Barely five seconds had passed since the attack had begun, and already the smile on the face of the Crystal Horn Rhinoman disappeared. Now it is looking at the attacks seriously and manipulating the thorns actively for greater efficiency.
"It is a very good defensive thod human; one could rarely co across such exquisite defensive thod." It said. Its voice was normal, but I could feel blazing anger in it, and I know the next attack would be very powerful.
I was right at that very mont an explosive aura shot out of its body, and the phantom of Rhinoman appeared behind it again, and this ti it is even more clear; it is looked like a very clear, high-quality projection.
Feeling the aura, all the hairs on my body stood up, and I did not waste any ti activating the ’Second Boost!’ and it is a good thing I did as the very next mont, it appeared behind and attacked.
"Die Human!" It roared as it attacked ca at . I harnessed all the power of the boost and spin back with all my power, and swung my sword toward its attack.
The attack too fast, I would not be able to dodge it successfully, nor I want to with my runes protecting against the energy attacks.
CLANNNG!
Our weapon clashed, and as they did, I felt as if I had been attacked by the hamr, and I begin to take the steps back uncontrollably. My body shook, and many of my internal organs got damaged, but the damage was not great; my healing power was able to heal it imdiately.
It did not give any chance to stabilize; it imdiately appeared beside like a phantom and attacked with its ax, which’s crystal blade vibrating with sheer power it contained.
CLANNNG!
As I shot back, I activated the formation and which shot the burst of power from my waist and helped change my direction a little. If I not done that, I would have crashed into the tree, and that would have given the bastard a perfect chance to slice off my head with ease.
Still, I had just survived the tree and found my footing when it appeared in front of and swung its ax at my head, not caring about the tree that is in the way of its attack.
These trees are not the trees that are in the central part of Devil’s Forest, which could abate the montum of attacks.
These trees are just a little powerful than normal trees due to the influence of sunlight, but their strength is nothing. They would not be able to abate the montum of the attack by 1%, even if there would have been ten trees back to back.
CLANNNG!
As I expected, its ax had cut through the tree-like it is nothing and clashed with my sword, sending further back with even greater speed than before.
