The Admiral sat opposite them. Just the fact that he looked as though he and the Sunblaze Dragon were on the sa side was already strange enough, but as the discussion went on, the way Darren and the others looked at the Admiral began to feel increasingly off.

The Admiral could actually understand what the Sunblaze Dragon was saying!!

The originally designated interpreter, Elu, was rendered directly unemployed. The task of interpretation was taken over by the Admiral himself, and when faced with the Sunblaze Dragon’s questions, he could even communicate with the other party calmly and without any barrier at all.

And you still say you’re not a Rajang!!

As everyone knows, when it cos to language-learning ability, lynians such as Felynes are the most outrageous. Not only can they learn a new language in an extrely short period of ti, but to so extent, they can even communicate with monsters. This also relies on the fact that their bloodlines, compared to humans, are more inclined toward beasts.

This powerful language-learning ability is also a key reason why lynians races, with Felynes as the main example, can rapidly integrate into human society. Hunters’ Palicoes, at certain critical monts, can even use language-based taunts to temporarily draw a monster’s hatred away from the hunter.

Even now, among most ecological linguists, the overwhelming majority co from the lynians side. Only a small number of exceptionally gifted humans, or elderly and erudite old Wyverian scholars, can rival lynians scholars in this field.

As for Fire Wyvern Speech, a new type of monster language that relies on the vibrations of monster roars and is unique to the Ancient Tree, it is even more difficult to learn. Even for Felynes, without a long period of systematic study, it is very hard to truly master it.

From the Admiral’s appearance alone, it was already easy for people to associate him with a Rajang and suspect that he might possess so Rajang bloodline.

But now—

The Admiral’s performance seed to confirm that rumor!

After listening to the research team’s questions, Logan’s gaze revealed a hint of surprise.

He had not expected that the Research Commission was now actually agonizing over whether to deal with the source that had caused the frequency of Elder Dragon migrations to increase.

As you know, resolving this matter was the very purpose behind the Research Commission’s founding, yet now, because of concerns about the New World’s developnt, they had actually produced a different line of thinking.

Needless to say, this absolutely could not be separated from the Ancient Tree.

The existence of Ancient Tree civilization turned the New World, in the eyes of the Old World, from a desolate "barren land" devoid of human presence into a place where civilization could take root. Moreover, with the current relationship between the Ancient Tree and the Research Commission—where you have in you, and I have you in —

The Ancient Tree research base, vegetation cultivation base, Hunter’s Guild, and other facilities gave these elite hunters an added sense of belonging.

Whether it was the Old World or the New World, both sides were ho. They could not, by favoring one side, severely damage the other side’s interests.

Even if mbers of the Fifth Fleet, and even the Fourth Fleet, might not yet have such deep feelings for the New World, the Old World was only affected to so extent because of the Elder Dragon migration. In addition, the living land occupied by humans was not that extensive, and the vast majority of Elder Dragons, during their migration, would not pass through human settlents. Those losses were still within an acceptable range.

But for the New World, the Elder Dragon migration was a "key" factor that could promote the growth of the entire New World.

Even if one wished to favor the Old World, after comparing the two, they still began to lean toward the New World’s side.

Raising his eyes to look at the research team, who were watching him with bright, focused gazes and hoping to receive so guidance, Logan thought for a mont, and his throat let out a deep, muffled sound.

The people who had originally been waiting for the Admiral to interpret discovered that as Logan’s roar rang out, the Admiral’s expression—which had still carried a faint, relaxed smile—suddenly beca extrely solemn, and his eyes revealed an incredulous aning.

In the end, after remaining silent and struggling for a long ti, and lowering his head to think for a while, he finally seed to have made a decision. Only then did he raise his head to look at everyone and say calmly: "The Sunblaze Dragon ans that the source that caused the Elder Dragon migration to beco increasingly frequent has already completed its mission, but during this process, it secretly plundered quite a bit of nourishnt that should have belonged to the New World. Now it is about to beco a disaster for the entire New World’s ecology."

"Boss Fire Wyvern left the Ancient Tree and stayed here for this reason—to strangle the danger in the cradle in advance before the situation develops to the point where it cannot be controlled."

Hearing the Admiral’s words, the mbers of the research team’s eyes lit up, and their hearts were no longer tangled. Although they were shocked by this news, no matter what, at least the problem now had an answer.

And Logan lowered his head to look at the Admiral, blinking his eyes.

Was that really what it had just said?

What it had clearly said was only that Xeno’jiiva and the New World existed in symbiosis, drawing in large numbers of dying Elder Dragons, with the vast majority of life energy being absorbed by Xeno’jiiva, and only the remainder belonging to the New World.

Now that the New World had fully taken shape, the existence of Xeno’jiiva had instead beco an obstacle, and it was very likely that it could trigger a disaster.

Originally, it was a perfectly normal explanation, but once it ca out of the Admiral’s mouth, it sohow turned into giving people the impression that Xeno’jiiva had "betrayed" the natural world that had nurtured it.

When in fact, it was clearly a case of both sides colluding with each other, only to fall out over uneven distribution of the spoils, all right?

However, since the Admiral had already put it that way, and the general aning was roughly correct anyway, Logan was too lazy to correct him and simply let them fill in the gaps with their own imagination.

"All right, that’s how the answer stands. Once we return, it can be reported to the base. Next—"

How could the Admiral not understand what Logan had ant with those words earlier? It was just that, in his own view, nature should rely be a description—a collective term for the world’s ecology. Therefore, regarding the relationship between nature and Xeno’jiiva in Logan’s words, the Admiral was more willing to understand it as an established form of biological symbiosis between a creature and its environnt, rather than concretely framing it as a struggle between two wills.

After weighing it over repeatedly, he chose to express Logan’s aning using his own interpretation. Seeing that Logan did not object, he finally let out a quiet sigh of relief.

However, the matter he needed to ask next was indeed a bit difficult to bring up.

Yet when he thought of everything he had seen and heard along the way—the new forms of those Terastalized monsters, and the ecological differences in the Elder’s Recess before and after Logan’s arrival—he could not get past that ntal hurdle.

"Boss Fire Wyvern, um, about the anomalies on those monsters in this region... I wonder if you happened to notice them?"

Looking at the Admiral, a man already over sixty, now carefully choosing his words and beating around the bush to probe about Terastalization, Logan felt his scales prickle. Subconsciously, Logan straightened up, lifted his chest, and pulled away with clear disdain in his eyes.

This posture, however, seed to cause so misunderstanding among the research team.

From their perspective, the Sunblaze Dragon suddenly stood up and distanced itself from everyone, its gaze turning extrely cold and disgusted.

In an instant, everyone’s muscles tensed instinctively, fists clenching tight.

"Roar!" (Yes, that’s right—I did it!)
