Logan circled several tis above Zorah Magdaros. The Barnos that survived on the volcanoes attached to Zorah Magdaros's back screeched and scattered in all directions under Logan's pressure. The wingdrake flocks that had already left after arriving in the New World lost quite a few more because of this.

Below, the scholars and mbers of the Research Commission who were investigating volcanic conditions on Zorah Magdaros's back—inferring its physical state from the exposed heat-dissipating organs—heard the commotion, looked up, and saw Logan's already drastically changed silhouette.

Fortunately, Logan's new appearance had spread throughout the Research Commission during this period. Even those who had not seen it in person were able to confirm his identity through the rather abstract line drawings and the exclamations of nearby companions.

The Commander, who was arranging various matters, heard the noisy sounds coming from outside the cave and looked up with a sowhat serious expression.

At this mont, Zorah Magdaros was only temporarily dormant and resting; it was not truly inactive.

Moreover, because they knew very little about Zorah Magdaros, everyone consciously kept the noise they made to a minimum during related investigations, lest a mont of carelessness disturb sothing and end up awakening Zorah Magdaros, which would be the most troubleso outco.

But now, it was obvious that sothing had happened to make these people produce such noise.

Stepping out of the cave and seeing Logan in the sky at a glance, the Commander imdiately blended into the atmosphere of the scene.

At present, the relationship between the Research Commission and Logan was very complicated.

From forr collaborators who held a slight advantage, it had shifted into a New World officially recognized civilian organization.

There were far too many reasons behind this change; it had been ford bit by bit through small matters and the various decisions made over the years.

It had changed just like that, following the natural course of events.

And Logan was not only the King of the Ancient Tree, but also an Elder Dragon full of wisdom and rationality, who had repeatedly helped the Research Commission resolve many crises.

Now, the interception battle against Zorah Magdaros had still been successfully completed even without his participation.

It was like a country's general, facing a formidable enemy, requesting aid from the king. After the king agreed, he did send additional weapons, but the reinforcents still did not arrive for a long ti because of other matters. In the end, the general and all the officers and soldiers endured the pressure and, by sheer force, achieved a perfect victory over the formidable enemy.

And then the king arrived late with the army, showing only a surprised expression.

Although the actual situation differed sowhat from this analogy, the feeling was similar.

After all, no matter what, the Research Commission's side was, in essence, a force ford with hunters as its main body. Its internal structure was very simple, and with the Ancient Tree as such an "official" force in existence, habit made them place themselves in this kind of position.

What they were doing now was like a child showing off to an adult, or soone of lower status presenting themselves to their superior.

And Logan did not disappoint them. After locating the Commander's position and descending this way, and after listening to the Commander's description of this battle, Logan felt sowhat emotional.

Although he had been thinking all along about what he could do in this incident, at the very end he realized that he really could not do that much.

When facing nature, even as he was now, he had rely gone from a bottom-tier worker to a senior worker, and he still could not change much about the decisions set by nature, that black-hearted boss.

As long as he had not transcended his ecological niche for even a single day, this situation could not change.

However, fortunately, as the "butterfly," he had still changed quite a few things. The wings he had lightly flapped in the past had stirred up no small ripples in this already predetermined river of fate.

Watching the Commander, emotions running high, speaking eloquently in front of him, his tone full of pride, Logan thought for a mont, then silently roused the energy organs within his body and, on the grounds that he had "failed to arrive as promised," slowly spat out a high-concentration "new Terastal crystal" as a comndation, gifting it to the Research Commission.

As the deputy director of the Ecological Research Center watched the Terastal crystal in the Commander's hand, with energy streams constantly flickering within it, his eyes went wide.

As a Wyverian, compared with humans, he could sense the flow of energy more keenly.

And it was also because of this perceptive ability that he could conduct alchemy through various materials with extrely high energy conductivity.

At this mont, whether in terms of the fluidity of energy, or in terms of the extraordinary-looking energy within the crystal, this was an ultra-rare material that was on par with an Elder Dragon gem.

If used properly, whether in alchemy or in forging, it could likely lead to breakthroughs beyond imagination.

In fact, the deputy director's thoughts were not wrong.

This was not like the Terastal crystals Logan could casually produce by mobilizing Terastal energy from his body. This was a special crystal condensed within his internal energy organs, with extrely high purity and mixed with life energy. Outside, it was unquestionably an Elder Dragon material, and a very rare type at that, fully capable of serving as the core material of an alchemical piece of equipnt.

As for whether this would allow the Research Commission to analyze his energy from it...

Logan was not worried about that at all at present. His current Terastal energy had already obtained recognition from the world as a "native" form of energy. At most, it would simply be regarded as a new type of energy beyond conventional elental attributes, not to ntion that it also contained a large amount of life energy.

Moreover, with the anomaly of the Ancient Tree, his new Terastal energy had already begun to be transmitted and infused into those organisms symbiotic with him, making the leakage of energy attributes unavoidable.

The Commander smiled as he carefully put away this comndation. This was the first formal recognition the Sunblaze Dragon had given the Research Commission in decades. It was far more precious than any shed scale or top-grade Radiant Crystal Butterfly.

Ignoring the resentful gaze of the deputy director of the Ecological Research Center, the Commander explained his subsequent plans regarding Zorah Magdaros to Logan and asked for his opinion.

However, when Logan heard that they could only block Zorah Magdaros for less than a day, he imdiately fell silent.

Sensing the increasingly urgent urging transmitted along with life energy, Logan shot straight into the sky and ca before Zorah Magdaros. Looking at the head that was significantly larger than his entire body, the energy within him surged, and icy blue light lit up between the gaps of his scales.

In the next mont, a vast amount of Terastal energy poured out, encircling Zorah Magdaros's enormous body and rapidly converging beneath its limbs.

Under Logan's impetus, massive Terastal crystals grew at high speed. Crystal pillars dozens of ters long locked Zorah Magdaros's limbs firmly in place.

Although for an Elder Dragon of Zorah Magdaros's size, Terastal crystals were only relatively hard and far from truly inescapable, when combined with so of the Research Commission's arrangents, they should be able to hold Zorah Magdaros here for a longer period of ti.

Feeling the tightening urgency of his heartbeat, Logan flew into the sky toward the sunlight and, wrapped in a Terastal mbrane, sped rapidly toward the depths of the New World.
