A couple of minutes earlier...

Above the residential and fortified compound of the Rotte Family, ominous black clouds poured into the fractured reality, stirring a thunderous storm. The shattered heavens glimred with dreadful light as though the skies were beginning to collapse upon the earth.

In the distance was a black-suited young man, whose fedora tilted forward, shrouding his handso and sharp face with a darkened shade. His na was Damien, a mber of Block 7 codenad Oberon.

Beside him was a briefcase held tightly between his fingers. He gazed upon the fortified compound beneath him and glanced at the gigantic shadows that were beginning to encircle it. The preparations were almost complete.

"My summoned monsters should be in their designated positions by now." He muttered under his breath while observing the converging storm above. Initially, he wanted to utilize Eclipse and flatten the entire compound in re seconds.

But he halted himself as the Rotte Family was an infamous human-trafficking criminal syndicate. Who knows how many were shackled and trapped inside the basent of these bastards? He needed to rescue these survivors first before crushing the compound.

After turning his attention towards the compound, the mission display notification materialized before him once again. It had already erged half an hour ago after he accepted the mission from their boss, Alastair.

| Extermination and Rescue (Primary Mission) |

-| You have been commanded by the Seventh Paragon of the Surveillance and Interdiction of Global Incursion Landing. Directive: Eliminate the entire criminal syndicate of the Rotte Family, and rescue the abducted human-trafficking victims imprisoned within their compound. For completion, rescue at least 30 survivors and annihilate the Rotte Family. Reward: 2,500 Terror Points, [Fusion Feature]. |

---

It was his second primary mission, and it was as straightforward as before. Rescue the kidnapped victims and destroy the criminal syndicate. In any case, what he was interested in about the mission was its rewards.

The primary mission granted him two rewards. The first one was 2,500 Terror Points. The second benefit was the Fusion Feature. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much information about the feature.

But its na already gave him an idea about what it could be.

’This operation shouldn’t take too long.’ Damien yawned and glanced in the direction of the western district. His junior, Hecate, should have started the extermination of the Winston Family. Perhaps it was also ti for him to do his job.

"My Silhouette has already entered the fortified compound. It is brimming with tahumans and dhampirs. Though I can’t find any information about where the nobles resided." He muttered under his breath.

"A little bit of chaos should force them out." His lips curled into a smile as he commanded his summoned monsters to begin the operation. In re monts, explosions roared throughout the residential compound of the Rotte Family.

An abominable hellhound erged from the fiery cracks of the ground and stord through the western side of the compound. A flying aetheric beast soared the skies of the eastern side, burning everything in its way.

To the north, a giant scorpion-like machine started blasting the walls and scouting towers, shooting at the guards who barely survived the first ambush. Finally, the south, where the main entrance was located.

The air cracked and shattered into pieces as two gigantic black hands launched towards the entrance, hurtling everything out of their way. The walls splintered into pieces of rubble and dust while so of the guards were crushed into paste.

It was a coordinated attack, overseen by Damien and directed by his monster machine, Makina. Without a doubt, the systematic assault was effective against the forces of the criminal syndicate.

Damien watched the destruction with indifference as smoke and dust scaled into the night sky. The devastation of their outer defenses should attract most of their forces’ attention. It was ti to start rescuing the ones trapped within the compound.

Closing his eyelids, he concentrated and decided to change his perspective. As he opened his sable-tinted eyes, the black-suited man found himself staring at a concrete wall. Beside it was a locked door leading to the basent of the compound.

"I have been searching for quite a while and found no signs of the abducted people. It seems that most of them were hidden deep underground." He remarked and punched through the locks with ease.

The tallic door swung open, baring a seething darkness concealed beneath its cover. An eerie silence pervaded from the inside as the concrete hallway quivered from the resounding explosions outside.

It was as though the criminal syndicate was fighting a war. Which wasn’t far from the truth. After all, Damien wasn’t alone. He was an army of monsters, capable of crushing whatever obstacles stood in his way.

As long as none of them were overpowered powerhouses like the Paragons, he was confident of his capabilities to defeat any adversary.

Entering the gloomy cellar, Damien’s piercing sable-tinted gaze widened. His heart pounded in his body. He felt an explicable sense of anger boiling deep within his heart. In front of him were iron cages scattered throughout the basent, and inside were won alongside children.

His mind expected a horrific sight. But the scene before him surpassed his expectations. The bare skeletal fras of these abducted people and their exhausted expressions as blood was siphoned from their bodies.

He felt disgusted and wanted to tornt the ones who had done such a thing. However, he promptly cald himself down and took a deep breath. It wasn’t the ti for him to be angry. Instead, he must focus on rescuing them from this hellhole.

’I have to get them out.’ Damien clenched his fist and walked deeper into the shaded basent. The won and children watched him, but none of them could move a muscle. They couldn’t even cry for help as their bodies were barely kept alive by the bastards who kidnapped them.

Without hesitation and delay, he activated his personal skill, Raptured Blink. In re monts, a black mist shrouded the cages that were scattered throughout the cellar. As the teleporation was about to reach its completion, one of the won reminded him.

Although it was no different than a whisper, he could hear it clearly in his ears. The woman’s words echoed, clutching his heart into a spiral of rage. "T-they took my daughter... S-she is in o-one of the luxurious rooms w-with a v-vampire."

Tears dripped from her eyes as the black mist enveloped her and teleported the cages out of the fortified compound. An unnerving quiet filled the cellar, consuming Damien with a distorted whistle.

"Nobles..."

A cold glint escaped his obsidian-like irises as he abruptly activated his raptured blink and teleported to the third floor of the syndicate’s residence. The scenery changed, replaced by a luxurious hallway where paintings were hung on every wall.

When he arrived on the third floor. The guarding dhampirs imdiately noticed his presence and charged towards his location. They erged from the corner, attired in black-suits and shades. It appears that these dhampirs were the security personnel of the nobles.

"Halt... How dare you, human!" To those who weren’t sensitive to an aetheric signature, Damien wasn’t that different from an ordinary human. Even if he were a Jaeger, the dhampirs didn’t fear anyone but the Paragons.

Damien didn’t bother responding to these bastards and activated another personal skill. It was a power originating from his Wyvern, Fafnir. Its na was Dracko Oppression.

Upon activation, cold sweat dripped from the foreheads of the security personnel. Their bodies trembled as a sense of dread consud their minds. At the mont, the skill rely emanated a ntal pressure.

But it was enough for the black-suited young man.

"I’m not interested in wasting my ti, so leave my sight." He muttered to himself, activating another personal skill. This was ford from his Hellhound. It was designated as the Chains of Judgnt.

Silver chains surfaced from the nearby walls and wrapped themselves around the bodies of the dhampirs. These chains were imprinted with ruins, weakening those with sins and evil intentions.

The dhampirs couldn’t resist and were dragged away by the chains. Not a single scream escaped from them as their bodies splattered on the wall, blood painted across the luxurious, ornantal wallpaper.

Damien continued on his way and arrived at the pair of wooden doors radiating with a sense of opulence. He opened them and saw a repulsive sight that seed to exceed what he had seen in the basent where cages of humans dwelled.

The sumptuous room was expansive and grand. In the middle was a king-sized bed where a blonde vampire drank blood from the neck of a young haggard girl. Crimson stained her neck as she was barely conscious after crying her heart out.

Around her were husks of those who had long been consud by the vampire noble. The young girl was his final al for the night, but the blond noble was interrupted from his feeding session when an intruder entered his humble abode.

His crimson-colored eyes glared at the black-suited young man. "You dare interrupt , human? You will pay the price for such disrespect." As if throwing away a piece of eaten chicken, the vampire noble tossed the haggard girl to the side.

He wasn’t stupid, as his security personnel should have been guarding the hallway to this sparse room. The blond man understood that an intruder had entered the residential compound of the Rotte Family. It seems that the explosions outside were the black-suited young man’s own doing.

"I have been thinking about how to eliminate you. But that would be too easy. You don’t deserve to die quickly." Damien narrowed his sable-tinted gaze and pointed at the noble. "I will destroy everything you care about."

"Your beauty, body, immortality, power, authority, and your self. Until you cannot even recognize yourself anymore, I won’t stop destroying you.

"No matter what."
