Before he could ponder the fifth evolution of Eclipse, another splitting headache bombarded his mind. It was much worse than before, a dozen tis stronger.
"Argh!"
Damien nearly collapsed, cold sweat dripping from his forehead. His body wasn't undergoing a re augntation. It was a thorough transformation.
The very genetics that were imprinted in his aether-based DNA were being stripped apart, augnted by the power of Eclipse.
Even his hardened willpower could barely resist the onslaught of pain that pervaded every corner of his body. Taking a deep breath, his heart ached as it pounded over two hundred beats a minute.
If he were a normal human, he would have already been sent to the ergency room in so random hospital.
"Damn... I can't hold on-" Damien weakly mumbled, leaning his body backward to avoid falling from the rooftop. He lay on the concrete surface, exhausted.
The pain continued, getting much stronger than before. It was at this mont that he understood one thing. The transformation wouldn't be as quick as before.
"I hope I won't die from a heart attack." He barely smiled as a black liquid enveloped the entirety of his body. The black-suited young man didn't even notice it.
As his consciousness beca clouded, it didn't take long for him to lose his perception, blacking out midway.
Outside, his pitch-black, liquid-covered body transford. His bones hardened and beca denser than the strongest of minerals.
Even synthetic tals wouldn't be a comparison against his bones. It didn't even end there.
His muscles tightened and grew, and more strands connected every corner of his physique. His body beca thicker, becoming more muscle-bound before constricting.
Even his height grew longer, standing about two and a half ters tall. It made him a giant of a man, making him resemble his old appearance much less.
After an hour of writhing on the ground like a newly born worm, Damien opened his eyelids and saw the clear blue skies of day. An orange tint streaked through it, reminding him that it was later afternoon.
"What the... I thought I was about to die from then."
Taking a deep breath, he looked around and saw the empty rooftop untouched as before. Sighing to himself, he glanced at his arms and realized they were thicker and larger.
His sharp and sable-tinted gaze widened as he clenched his fingers. He felt the power behind every muscle; there was also that peculiar feeling of brimming vitality.
It didn't even end there.
His mind was also unraveled alongside his senses. Information streaked through in nanoseconds, enabling his reaction to be extrely fast.
If not for the horizon, he would have seen at least twenty kiloters in distance and recognized a person's face. To be honest, it was overpowered.
It was as though the Empyrean Overwatch had beco a general part of his body. Although it didn't give him a birdseye view, he could easily notice details as small as an ant from kiloters away.
"So this is what a Five-Star Transformation feels like..." Damien tightened his fist and stood up from the concrete ground. It was then he noticed standing a bit higher than before.
He turned his attention towards the tallic door leading to the rooftop and imdiately realized that he stood above it. He beca a giant of a man.
Although most n would have been happy to have their heights augnted without the typical side effects of being too tall, he wasn't too delighted.
After all, the world was built for those of average height.
"Hmm, is this what it feels like for those extrely tall people?" Damien pondered, stretching his arms upward. His body resembled that of a fit bodybuilder.
It wasn't too much, but the muscles were heavily defined.
As a result, if he were standing in the desolate plains from a distance, most wouldn't notice his height. It was a crucial balance that didn't make him look like a stick or a willow tree.
"In any case, I should take my ti adapting to this body. Otherwise, it would be easy for to trip over because of the lack of adjustnt."
Damien's sable-tinted gaze hardened as he walked around the rooftop, familiarizing himself. He also threw punches and kicks, adapting to his new center of balance.
It wasn't difficult for him to beco familiar. After all, even his motor control was augnted to an extre degree. The problem was, however...
His expensive black suit was torn to shreds after his transformation. Despite its tough properties, it didn't stand a chance against his growing body.
"I'm practically half naked." Damien shook his head, noticing his eight-pack abs and buff chest. He even felt that he could control his pecs to move. But he didn't dare try it on the rooftop.
Such things were ant to be done in private, like a restroom.
In any case, his seniors, juniors, and partner were about to be dumbfounded seeing his appearance. The thought alone made his lips curl into a subtle smile.
Besides his transformation, he had also acquired new personal skills from the fifth evolution. These were Fragnt Fusion and Shattered World.
Fragnt Fusion allowed him to combine two personal skills and convert them into powers under the hold of Eclipse's unnatural attribute.
It was an intriguing path, especially when so of his skills overlapped one another in terms of utilization. If he wanted to clean up his skill index while augnting his personal skills.
Fragnt Fusion was the perfect answer.
"There are many skills I can fuse into one another. I should experint once I have the ti." Damien nodded to himself, deciding to test Fragnt Fusion later on.
On the other hand, there was the Shattered World. From the na alone, he understood what it ant or signified. It was his Macrocosm, the sa power that made his boss the strongest.
If his Microcosm was the Cryptic Eyes of Dominion, his Macrocosm would be the Shattered World. He was intrigued about what it looked like.
But decided to only test it once a troubleso opponent erges, or he could find a desolate landscape that was far from anyone and anything.
"Shattered World, huh?" Damien felt the ache of wanting to use such power. After all, it made him part of the powerhouse that stood over the summit of the New World.
The thought reminded him of soone. A girl he had last seen during Heaven's Fall. His childhood friend, Samantha.
"W- Wait..." Damien realized the lack of headache that would surge in his mind once he tried thinking about his best friend. Was this the result of his transformation?
His mood lifted even further. After all, he had been under the rcy of that headache when he tried thinking of her.
"I should begin investigation..."
"Without the headache impeding , I'm practically free to do whatever I want." Damien hardened his resolve. Unfortunately, the investigation would have to be delayed.
After all, he was about to fight in a defensive war against the Clan.
Damien cracked his neck, unbothered by the cold breeze that danced around him. Before he could do anything, he needed to find clothes that could fit him.
Without any hesitation, he summoned one of his trusted monsters. It was none other than Yuki, the intelligent Paranormal Monster.
Reality flickered as a gorgeous ghost lady, embraced by a yukata, stepped forward. Her gaze landed upon her master, admiration glinting from her pale eyes.
"How may I help you, Lord Oberon?" She tilted her head as Damien smiled and calmly commanded. "I need so clothes that could fit my size."
As said before, he was practically naked. Even his pants were barely holding themselves together. He needed to change fast.
"I understand, my lord. Your clothing shall be received." Yuki bowed and flickered out of the rooftop, leaving her master behind.
Damien calmly waited for her, crouching and hiding her presence from the logistic personnel below. He didn't want others to see his current state.
That was a surprise for later once he arrived on the frontlines.
It didn't take long for the ghost lady to return, carrying a folded giant white t-shirt alongside a massive pair of jeans. She bowed towards her master, handing the clothing.
"I have retrieved your clothing, Lord Oberon."
Unfortunately, there weren't any black suits in his size. Even the clothing Yuki had acquired wasn't for comrcial use, but was nothing but an advertising product.
Regardless, however... Damien was grateful to have so clothing that could fit him. Even though they were a bit too casual for the event he was about to join, it was better than arriving naked.
"Thank you for your assistance, Yuki. I appreciate it." He smiled at the ghost lady, whose pale complexion turned slightly crimson.
"I am honored to be of use, Lord Oberon."
"If the master requires the release of so bodily needs, this servant will be ready to assist." Yuki lightly bowed before flickering out of existence.
anwhile, Damien was astounded since he understood what she ant about releasing his bodily needs. To think that she had gotten so bold.
