In the southern frontier was a fortress that divided the New World into separate halves. The structure lood over the desolate battlefield, its walls made from black steel.

It was the headquarters of the Third Division, SIGIL Block 3.

"Hey, did you hear?" A Jaeger muttered, earning the annoyed grunt of his colleague. "Hear what exactly?"

"A mber of Block 7 will be temporarily joining us."

"Wait, what? You sure about that?" His colleague widened their eyes, dumbfounded by the news. These past few weeks, Block 7 has t controversy after controversy.

Whether it'd be the tribunal of its leader, the strongest of humanity, Alastsair Glass, or the destruction of the SIGIL Headquarters in Staten Island, New York.

mbers of Block 7 beca ons of disaster in the New World.

"Yeah, I heard that it would be the one who went to the northern fringes and massacred the remnants of the Shadow Division."

"Rumors had it that almost a thousand people died in the northern fringes during that operation. There was also gossip about an Aberrant dying in the cold wasteland."

"You an that old Aberrant that the strongest of humanity killed?" His colleague raised their eyebrows, though he shook his head. "No, a new one."

"So fishern saw giants fighting against one another in the Valley of Forsaken. The place where the Shadow Division got massacred."

"Damn, I didn't think that Block 7 would send the big guns to the south. Are they planning for an invasion?" His colleague was shocked, which was understandable.

The reputation of Block 7 had been high and growing. Its mbers were considered the elite of humanity, especially after its second-in-command was confird to have fought the Sixth Paragon.

A crowd of Jaegers heads towards the entrance, earning the attention of both n. They glanced at one another before following suit.

In the entrance of the southern fortress, a black-suited young man stood with indifference. A fedora veiled his face as his right hand held a briefcase.

eting with him was the Third Paragon, the leader of the SIGIL Block 3.

The SIGIL Defense Minister was a buff man with a crimson scar running across his face. If there were rankings of the Paragons, he would be the second strongest.

Though the distance between him and the strongest of humanity was a magnitude in order.

"You must be Damien, the third mber of Block 7."

"I heard of your work in the northern fringes, terminating a popular Cult alongside the terrorist organization, Shadow Division. Your reputation precedes you."

The Third Paragon and the black-suited young man shook hands with one another. When their fingers grasped together, each exerted strength.

"Mister Armstrong, the Third Paragon and Defense Minister of SIGIL Block 3."

"Since the advent of the Federation, you have been protecting the southern frontier against the incursions of the Clan. Without you, the New World would have been riddled with battlefields."

The two smiled at one another as they kept shaking their hands. The crowd of Jaegers, on the other hand, noticed the two getting along.

"So, may I hear the reason for your visit?" Armstrong questioned while Damien raised his eyebrows. "Did Miss Alastair not state my reasons?"

The Third Paragon shook his head, prompting the black-suited young man to shake his head. As he sighed, he responded to the question.

"I have to pay so debt."

"I want you to point in the direction of the Clan, presumably their military installations."

Hearing his answer, the Jaegers gasped since the southern frontier was the most contested battlefield in the New World.

Not only were there nobles in the borders, but even True Bloods road and sotis attacked. Each incursion brought casualties. Whether it'd be civilians or Jaegers themselves.

To the eyes of the crowd, what he said was tantamount to suicide.

But Armstrong rely grinned at the black-suited young man in front of him. Those under the White Devil truly were built different.

He patted Damien's shoulders and responded. "I have a feeling that the two of us will get along. How about you follow into the war room?"

"I will be giving you the directions on where you could attack."

Armstrong walked towards the war room of the southern fortress while Damien followed from behind. He felt the gazes of the Jaegers, each experienced with warfare against the Clan.

They were much stronger than the ones in the interior, which was understandable. After all, Jaegers in the southern frontiers tend to be easily replaced.

Those that survive would be the strongest, as the weak were culled naturally through war.

An unfortunate state of affairs, but unavoidable.

After all, humanity wasn't rely fighting another human nation, but an entire and completely different species. The tactics of the Clan differed generally from humanity's doctrine.

When the two arrived in the war room of the southern fortress. A couple of officers surrounded the giant map on the table.

Looking at the map, Damien couldn't help but remark. "I didn't expect the southern fortress to be old school. Using drawn maps in this day and age as the main strategic board is interesting."

Armstrong smirked and patted one of his officers. "It's because of my subordinate's Brand. He senses the changes on the battlefield, and his Brand draws it into the map."

Hearing his words, Damien nodded in understanding and placed a finger below his chin. He gazed upon the map and saw the marked military installations.

His eyes narrowed, scrutinizing every line drawn.

"Four military bases before reaching their northernmost fortress city." He turned his sable-tinted eyes towards the Third Paragon.

"Sir Armstrong, how many vampires are operating in these installations?" He needed to know the current population of each base before enacting his plan.

Armstrong furrowed his eyebrows and pondered it. A few seconds later, he answered the question. "Each military installation should at least contain a thousand vampires."

"These installations are made to be as heavily defended as possible, acting like networks of trenches."

"There's a reason why the Federation didn't advance further into the south despite the frequent incursions from the Clan."

When Damien heard of the Third Paragon's explanation. He nodded in understanding and stepped back. "I see... Thank you for your assistance, Mr. Armstrong."

"I will be handling those four military installations. What you do afterward depends on you." Damien calmly uttered before fading as though he didn't exist.

What appeared before them was nothing more than a Silhouette.

"No wonder he felt strange." The Third Paragon smirked, stretching his fingers and recalling the handshake between the two of them.

"The White Devil only accepts monsters like her. I'm glad that humanity will be in good hands in the far future."

"In any case, you heard him, everyone! I want all of you to get ready! It's ti for us to start pushing our borders to the south and liberate our lands."

The Third Paragon grinned, his thoughts wandering to the True Bloods guarding the northern borders of the Clan.

Without a doubt, there would be lakes of blood, but this might be the only opportunity they have for an entire decade. It was better to take it than not.

anwhile...

Damien stood on the southern frontier's outskirts and saw the desolate wasteland of the New World's separate side. Its land was jet-black as storms shrouded the heavens above.

It was the perfect place for vampires where the sun's radiance wouldn't touch them. Their dark world where humanity was enslaved to beco their cattle.

"The only thing I need to do is destroy four military installations and return whence I ca from to start the evolution of my Paranormal Monsters."

He muttered under his breath as he opened his status display, its bluish hue reflected from his face.

"Let us summon every summoned monster to march towards the south."
