As the winds whispered into his ears, the Second-In-Command of the Sixth Division felt his vision blur. A gorgeous white-haired lady smirked and tilted her head as though taunting him.

"For old tis' sake, I'll give you a chance." Her pearl-like eyes glinted with arrogance as they narrowed together.

"A minute... I won't attack you. What you do, whether you escape or fight, is entirely up to you." Her supple lips curved wider while the Second-In-Command gritted his teeth.

The woman in front of him was an abomination. The strongest of humanity, Alastair Glass. Her enemies called her the White Devil.

She was a ruthless Jaeger who single-handedly ended the rule of the Clan through the Revolution that left Washington in utter devastation.

It hasn't been long, but he has almost forgotten the authority she wielded. However, justice must be served.

The Sixth Paragon, his Master, has lost his life in the hands of the Rogue Blade. A Paragon's Death was akin to the dissipation of an entire nuclear arsenal.

Without a doubt, even the strongest of humanity wouldn't be able to protect the Rogue Blade from the authorities, so he stood his ground.

Activating his Brand, the temperature of the surrounding area dropped significantly. The wind beca cold, and the barren land was filled with snow.

Gazing at the Seventh Paragon, he muttered under his breath. "Absolute Zero." In an instant, the entire landscape froze into a solid mass of ice. The world, for a mont, freezes in a halt.

In the center was the frozen figure of the Seventh Paragon. He took a deep breath and mumbled. "I have a couple of seconds before she reacts."

The Second-In-Command of Block 6 bolted towards the strongest of humanity amidst the freezing winter, but stopped midway.

He felt his skin crawl as he imdiately backed away from the frozen figure a couple of ters away from him. It was his instincts warning him.

"What was that?" he looked at the Seventh Paragon and noticed so discrepancies. What he was staring at wasn't an actual object, but a reflection.

The thought brought chills into his mind as an indifferent voice echoed from behind. "Quite smart... Your instincts are well-trained."

"Relying on your perception against is foolish. After all, how can you tell reality from the reflections I conjure?"

He turned his head towards the gorgeous, white-haired lady in front of him, the sa smirk plastered across her beautiful face. She remained unaffected by the cold.

Absolute Zero was his Brand, capable of freezing his surroundings into near and complete freezing. Even atoms steady their vibrations when confronting his power.

His Master acknowledged him because of this Brand. As long as he could conjure Absolute Zero, even Paragons would have a difficult ti fighting against him.

"You have 30 seconds left, little one. Do you want to keep attacking? Or would you like to run away? The choice is all yours." She walked towards him, radiating confidence.

It doesn't matter what the distance between them was. Closer or farther, to the White Devil, it was all the sa.

The Second-In-Command of Block 6 clenched his fist and charged towards her. Alastair raised her eyebrows in mock surprise. "Oh, you're still planning to fight."

"Should I comnd you for your courage? Or ridicule you for your stupidity?" She dodged a blast of frost, the cold barely affecting her body.

One after another, he launched his icy attacks, conjuring icebergs and frozen wastelands. But the White Devil weaved through them with ease, untouchable.

However, he wasn't attacking without a strategy in mind. The Icebergs had cut off visible escape paths, while the frozen wasteland radiated an icy mist that shrouded the surroundings.

The Second-In-Command of Block 6 disappeared into the white mist, becoming a hazy silhouette.

"Interesting plan. Hope it helps you out." Alastair remarked, watching the surroundings through her pearl-like eyes.

Behind her, a shadow erged and attacked her. But when she dodged its fist, it burst into an icy shroud. A clone of icy frost.

Another ability the Second-In-Command hadn't shown since the beginning of their battle. It made her smile. "Good habit."

"Hiding your cards and using them only when needed the most. No wonder you were the Second-In-Command of Block 6."

"But no matter what tricks you resort to. It wouldn't change the fact that you're weak. You have 10 seconds left."

"If I were you, I would have made a run for it now." Alastair stretched her arms upward, yawning. Entertaining a Jaeger was already bringing her boredom.

Amidst the torrent of icy mist, several shadows erged, attacking her from different and impossible angles. Not only did they target her blind spots, but they also beca a cold cover.

Amongst the clones, the Second-In-Command was probably hiding, waiting for a chance. And she was right.

He glanced at the unmoving white-haired lady as his clones attacked her simultaneously. She didn't move a single muscle until one of his clones' fists was an inch away from her pale skin.

As she adjusted her footwork, the Second-In-Command erged from one of the clones and attacked her with a frontal kick. But when his foot made contact, she shattered like glass.

His eyes widened in shock as he landed on the icy ground. Cold sweat dripped from his forehead, realizing what that ant.

"Since the beginning, it wasn't actually her," he muttered to himself as his instincts scread at him to escape.

When the countdown ended, he felt a pale hand grasping his shoulders from behind. He slowly turned his head and saw the White Devil smiling at him.

"You should have escaped when given the chance. But your bravery is adequate alongside your mind. Though you're too emotional."

"If you don't change that part of yourself, you will end up like your master." Alastair snapped her fingers, and the entirety of reality fractured into pieces.

The icy wasteland reverted to its original and desolate form. Surrounding the Second-In-Command of Block 6 were his comrades who disappeared when the White Devil first acted.

"Block 6 does not need to collapse for a minor scuffle. Your Master would appreciate it more if the things he built didn't fall apart when he died."

Silence filled the air as he looked at the Seventh Paragon and questioned. "Why did he have to die?"

"It was his choice to die. For an old fool like him, death was inevitable. It was better to solve his regrets than take them along six feet underground."

Hearing the words of the strongest of humanity, the Second-In-Command of Block 6 sighed to himself and glanced at his colleagues.

"You have potential and are young enough to realize it," Alastair added and stopped grasping his shoulders with one hand. She walked away, indifferent.

Staring at her, he asked. "What are you planning to do with the aftermath? The Federation and SIGIL wouldn't be happy with what you have done."

"You already know what kind of person I am. Handling ss is my job nowadays." She answered and waved her hand before shattering like glass and disappearing.

anwhile...

Within the office of the Seventh Paragon in the central looming tower of New Janus, Damien was faced with a troubleso problem. Now that he was in debt.

He needed to find a way to gain Terror Points.

755 Terror Points wasn't a lot, but it wasn't small either. He needed to acquire the TP required without inviting attention.

The only ones who could do so with ease were his Paranormal Monsters, the Spectre. "Them, huh? Perhaps, it's ti to expand their influence outside of New Janus."

"Though, before that... I'd love to test these new personal skills of mine." Damien opened his status display, observing the three new personal skills.
