During the chaos of demons dancing wildly on East Mountain.

A person ca to the outside of the mountain village, or more accurately, a ghost.

This person was dressed in official attire, appeared to be in his forties, with a face like white jade, walking slowly on the official road.

With each step spanning several yards, the strange thing was that the surrounding people seed blind to it.

His na was Xi Fang, originally a prefectural governor from a hundred years ago, beloved by the people who even erected a longevity tablet for him at ho, and after his death, he beca an Ancestor Spirit of the Xi family.

The so-called Ancestor Spirit is also a type of spirits among the ghosts and gods, all things possessing spirits, can give rise to consciousness with profound opportunity.

The Ancestor Spirit is usually the ancestor of a family, only protecting one family, rising and falling with the family’s prosperity and decline.

Now the Xi family’s influence is much diminished, making it sowhat difficult for Xi Fang to maintain his form, so he ca out to seek an opportunity to sustain his body.

"Alas, too many Evil Gods and Wild Immortals." Xi Fang sighed.

Maintaining the body requires absorbing the souls of other ghosts and gods, the strong ones he couldn’t defeat, the weak ones were soaked in blood, indistinguishable from demons, absorbing such would lead to endless troubles.

He could only find so newly born souls, or deities that had never encountered blood.

"Oh? There it is!"

Xi Fang saw a white haze swirling around the temple of the village ahead, emanating a purity.

Seeing this montarily, Xi Fang felt extrely excited in his heart.

Isn’t this exactly what he’s seeking?

In this war-torn, demon-infested world, having such a pure temple was already very rare.

Thinking of this, Xi Fang transford himself into a short trader.

He grabbed a villager, asked, "Old man, what temple is that up ahead? What immortal does it worship?"

"Oh, that’s the Wulang Temple! It blesses us with bountiful hunts."

"Is it effective?"

"Very much so, I caught two wild boars the day before yesterday." The simple villager laughed, he was the village chief, Yangg Dashan.

"Alright, I’ll go offer my respects too."

Xi Fang felt it was strange that such a small rural area would have such a Good God, actually bringing benefits to its followers.

He had been to the East Mountain Village before, never heard of any Wulang God, likely born just recently.

Such little gods weren’t worth worrying about.

With this thought, Xi Fang swaggered into the temple, only to see an inverted idol staring at him.

"Decree!!"

Xi Fang revealed his true form, pulling out a treasure bottle from nowhere, with a willow branch inserted in it, he pinched the willow branch, and a stream of water sprinkled toward the idol.

The water carried with it the power to suppress everything.

At that mont, the idol unleashed a brilliant light, revealing a Taoist in a blue robe.

"Such audacity!!" Song Lin shouted angrily.

Throwing out a ball of fla, instantly evaporating the water.

Then a flying sword pointed directly at the space between Xi Fang’s eyebrows.

Bam!

The treasure bottle was struck and flew away.

Just as Xi Fang was about to flee, he turned around to find a sea of blue-faced, fang-bearing soldiers with matted hair, like barbarians, standing densely packed, the entire temple couldn’t contain them.

Turning back, he saw Song Lin with an amused expression: "Aren’t my soldiers strong and vigorous?"

"Spare , Great King..." Xi Fang’s face alternated between blue and white, eventually lowering his noble head.

Song Lin was about to finish him off when Xi Fang suddenly kneeled down.

"Great King hold on! I know many things, willing to serve you diligently!"

Song Lin pondered a mont, then said, "Give a reason."

"You probably aren’t aware of the ascension and cultivation thods of deities, right? I can explain it to you."

"Alright!"

Song Lin waved his sleeve, making the ghosts and gods disappear, entering into the Yin Soil inside the statue.

The Yin Soil, as the na suggests, is the land of the underworld.

The sky remained perpetually dim and gray, with hundreds of acres of Yin Soil shrouded in hazy Ghost Fog, a grand mansion vaguely visible, with a hundred and twenty Rampant Soldiers guarding it, each full of Evil Qi.

The two sat down in a pavilion.

"Speak."

"You must be a Tunzhi Yin Officer, right? A Tunzhi Yin Officer requires at least ten thousand followers to be promoted to a Qu Position Officer, a Qu Position needs at least a hundred thousand to rise to a Departntal Position, the promotion process has a chance to generate Divine Skills, consistent with the title and Divine Skills."

"I see, how does one obtain other divine positions?"

Song Lin certainly wasn’t satisfied with just the simple Hunting title, the Chen Dynasty population was in the billions, but there were only a few hundred thousand hunters.

According to Xi Fang, it would at most be a School Position, far from higher positions like Capital Position or General Position.

"Swallow the soul of the said god to inherit the divine position."

"I see, perhaps it’s worth a try."

"Great Lord, the Hunting God position isn’t bad either. East Mountain County lives mostly by hunting, and there hasn’t been a Hunting God, only the Mountain God Mu Jushi and East Mountain Stone Old Man."

Xi Fang secretly mused, this little god is too unaware of the vastness of the heavens.

Wanting more divine positions ans annexing and attacking other temples, all have similar followers, cultivation is the sa, at most a pyrrhic victory even if they succeed.

Moreover, gods are usually territorial, and the followers may not recognize them, becoming a fruitless effort.

"Do you think I can’t do it?"

"I wouldn’t dare."

"What about with this?"

The clouds parted, revealing a clump of moonlight ahead.

The source of the light was a jade-like tree stump, about the size of a bowl’s mouth.

Upon contact with the light, Xi Fang felt his soul body solidify and his Mana surged.

"It’s a divine object!! Is it the Taiyin Moonlight?"

The Rampant Soldiers staying here for a year or two might have their combat power doubled.

"Yes, there will be more in the future."

Song Lin had long discovered that Taiyin Moonlight benefited ghosts and gods, in reality, there wasn’t extra energy for them, but in the virtual world, it’s possible.

The blessing of the laurel tree and Moon Brick would continuously strengthen the Rampant Soldiers.

"If I want to unify the underworld, how much chance do I have?"

Xi Fang glanced at the laurel tree, capable of refining the soul body, making ghosts and gods able to survive without relying on followers, potentially attracting many ghosts and Ancestor Spirits to join.

However, the difficulty of unifying the world was too high.

So many Great Ghost Demon Masters out there, aren’t they all truly skilled?

"Ten percent."

"What about adding this?"

Song Lin pointed to the organized Rampant Soldiers.

Xi Fang looked at the pitiful hundred and twenty Rampant Soldiers, unwilling to discourage Song Lin, added an extra half percent for his sake.

"Fifteen percent."

"What if this number increased ten thousandfold?"

"Ancestor Spirit of the Xi family, Xi Fang! Pays respects to the Lord!!"

"Good! Today I am reforming the system, under is the Temple, appointing you as the Temple Grand Judge, the Judge Office oversees the Good and Evil Altar, Day and Night Altar, Monitoring Altar, Refining Soldiers. Currently, you’re the only one, later on, there will be more additions."

"Tomorrow lead twenty Rampant Soldiers to patrol the vicinity, capturing evil ghosts for refining soldiers."

Song Lin having followed Ziyuan for a long ti, by constant exposure, learned many Rampant Soldier Skills.

With five types of Rampant Soldiers, each involving different Water Spirits and Mountain Ghosts, perfect for practicing in this world.

"As you command!"

Xi Fang kneeled halfway.

He was forced to join, although this Hunting Lord was just a small god, his insights truly were astonishing, already setting up a system early on.

Suddenly, a ridiculous thought ca to mind, perhaps there was a real opportunity for success?

The first year of the Altar Temple World.

The small troupe under the little mountain was thus ford, Song Lin didn’t know what future or fate awaited it.
