The Taiyi Myth is quite ancient, with only fragnts of myths passed down.
Taiyi God was originally the main god of the southern region in the Pre-Qin era, and was still worshipped during the early Han Dynasty, but in later generations, it beca mostly just a few legends.
Thinking of this, Song Lin shifted his thoughts and instantly entered this realm.
Whirl!
A dizzying sensation of the world spinning, and when he opened his eyes, he found himself standing by the great river.
The bright moon illuminated the winding great river, the erald green Jiang Shui flowing gently, resembling a long snake lying on the earth, the mist above the river like the long skirt of a Goddess.
Twelve erald green peaks clustered together, piercing high into the sky, the great river swirling and the divine clouds trailing.
This scene was utterly intoxicating.
"What a beautiful view."
Song Lin praised.
The scenery of this world gave him a feeling of enlightennt, indicating how active the laws of the Great Dao were in this realm.
If he stayed here long enough, he might even understand sothing about the Great Dao of the great river.
Whoosh...
At this ti, a rustling sound ca from a patch of grass not far away.
Following the source of the sound, he saw a little girl dressed in colorful petal clothes jump out from the grass.
Why call her little? The girl was indeed small, only about the size of a palm, with a little white face full of panic, clenching her fists and running with all her might, as if sothing was chasing her.
"Awoo!!"
Leaves flew as the bushes parted, and an old wolf jumped out from within.
Its ghostly green eyes fixed on the colorful little girl, drool dripping from its slly mouth.
"Ouch!"
The colorful girl bumped hard into Song Lin’s ankle, looking up at him pitifully with her big eyes.
"Haha, sorry little girl."
At that mont, as the old wolf lunged at them, Song Lin’s gaze sharpened, causing the old wolf’s body to suddenly halt, and its corpse fell to the ground with a thud.
The colorful little girl climbed up in a sorry state, dusted herself off, bowed to Song Lin, and in a small voice said, "Caixi thanks the big brother."
"You’re welco, Caixi, where is your ho?"
Song Lin squatted down and asked.
He could feel that the little girl before him had a pure heart, not an ordinary demon or spirit monster, but a kind of natural elf.
"My ho is in Wushan!"
Caixi pointed her little green finger at the highest of the twelve peaks.
"Wushan? Is the Goddess up there?" Song Lin asked curiously.
The Wushan Goddess was well-known in the Chu Territory, rumored to be the daughter of the Heavenly Emperor.
"Does big brother also know Goddess sister?" Caixi’s big eyes shone slightly, "Let take you to et her."
"Sure, I’ll take you up."
Song Lin opened his palm and placed it on the ground, allowing Caixi to climb up.
Then he flew towards the highest peak.
The mist of the great river ford clouds surrounding the peak, seemingly forming an Array.
Song Lin stopped in front of the clouds, which clearly had life and gathered into an old face.
"Grandpa Bai Yun, please make way, this big brother just saved ."
"Alright, welco."
Grandpa Bai Yun’s voice was aged, then dispersed to open a cloud path.
Song Lin landed with Caixi.
The scenery at the mountaintop was even more magnificent, with clear waters winding through fields of flowers, towering ancient trees, and strangely shaped rocks.
Song Lin and Caixi stopped in front of a large turtle-shaped stone by the Green Lake.
On the shore, a White Dragon coiled in sleep, faintly snoring.
Hearing so movent, the White Dragon opened its golden eyes and asked, "Who?"
"Young Master Xiao Bai, it’s ."
"Oh."
The White Dragon went back to sleep.
At this ti, the sea of flowers transford into nurous figures the sa size as Caixi, who hopped down from the hand to excitedly share what had just happened with these elves, occasionally causing exclamations.
A green Thin Jiao approached, giving Song Lin a long smile: "Welco, honored guest. May I know your esteed na?"
"Just call Song Lin."
Song Lin noticed a bamboo house not far away, with lilacs climbing on erald green bamboo, next to which was an old White Ape. Spotting Song Lin’s gaze, the old White Ape nodded.
A human and two demons began to converse.
Song Lin found that the creatures here were not very wary, treating others and the world sincerely, without much guard even towards a stranger like himself.
However, where was the so-called Goddess?
At this mont, a gentle rain began to fall from the sky.
The Flower Fairies began to sing ancient songs.
"On a lucky day, adorned for the Supre Being;
Handling the long sword of jade, with a ringing of precious stones.
Jade mats and rhinoceros-tasseled pillows, together with fragrant offerings of orchid and pepper wine."
The White Dragon known as Young Master Xiao Bai also awoke, taking out a konghou and playing a lody.
The sound was lodious and crisp, lingering for days, making one feel as if in the Immortal Realm.
Old Fish in the lake leapt in waves, while a few Thin Jiao crawled out from sowhere on the shore, swaying their bodies to the music.
The drizzle gradually lessened, and the Flower Fairies emitted a white light, their appearance rapidly aging.
"This is..." Song Lin was surprised, how did they suddenly start dying?
"Born at dawn, dying by dusk, carefree and joyful, isn’t that delightful?"
The green donkey sat like a human, pulling out a wine gourd from sowhere, drinking to the song.
"Born at dawn, dying by dusk..."
Song Lin murmured, is this also a kind of joy?
Perhaps it is. A short life, spending it entirely in happiness, living joyously and dying with joy, this is indeed a high state of being.
They had no sorrow for death, but sang to welco it instead.
To see through life and death is a high realm for humans, yet these beings naturally possessed it.
This gave Song Lin much insight, he could perhaps draw material from these beings to understand deeper realms.
All the Flower Fairies, including Caixi who was just rescued by Song Lin, turned into light.
Nurous lights ford a graceful human shape in the air.
Wind as her robe, clouds as her embellishnt, her spirit as grass, and in truth Lingzhi.
Forming such an unparalleled Goddess above and below the heavens.
The Goddess transford from illusion to reality, gracefully beautiful and gorgeously dressed. Her countenance was unparalleled, her beauty infinite, unheard and unseen from ancient tis until now.
Her beauty like flowers, like jade, like bright moonlight.
It was the first ti Song Lin had seen such an enchanting woman.
The Wushan Goddess Yaoji, moving as clouds in the morning, like rain in the evening, her skin like ice and snow, delicate as a maiden. She did not consu grains but dined on wind and drank dew.
Yaoji descended with a fragrant breeze, looking at Song Lin with a shallow dimpled smile: "Welco, honorable guest, thank you for your righteous aid."
"It was a small effort."
"There’s no need to be modest, the beings that live and die with the day have their own aning of existence, their lives are also extrely precious."
"I understand."
The Flower Fairies were gone, on the mountain remained only the White Dragon, the Thin Jiao, the old White Ape, and a few Thin Jiao.
"Do you have a place to stay, honored guest?"
"No, how about staying in Wushan?"
"Sure."
Song Lin did not refuse, and thus stayed on the mountain.
The next morning, at dawn, the rising sun painted the sky with brilliant light.
The Goddess was about to transform into a cloud as well.
Song Lin stepped out of the Lilac Bamboo House, the golden light from the horizon descending, surrounding him, creating an incredibly magical scene.
The Goddess gazed at him with bright eyes, surprised: "What is your relationship with the East Lord? Are you the East Lord?"
...
(This Chapter was a bit delayed in writing, but it’s not really a myth, just inspired by Li He’s poetry, so I wrote this. In my imagination, Chu Myth is romantic and magnificent, unlike the usual fighting and killing, I’ve always been searching for this feeling.)
