"I am not the real Wu Qingxuan; I am the grandmother of the Holy Might Heavenly Master, the wife of the Tianhe Taoist."

"What?" Zhi Xin feigned shock.

In truth, he had known earlier that Little Qing was no longer the sa Little Qing, but soone else entirely.

What he hadn’t expected was this identity.

Even less so that she would reveal it outright. Zhi Xin had believed this secret would be concealed for a long ti, and he was even prepared to continue acting for the long haul.

Could it be that she now felt untouchable?

Did she think that, having already crossed the Heavenly Tribulation and nearing the rank of a Primordial Spirit Expert, he no longer had any value to her?

Bitterness welled up in Zhi Xin’s heart.

"Don’t misunderstand . I haven’t seized Wu Qingxuan’s body. In a sense, she is my reincarnation."

The wife of Tianhe was originally nad Ziyun.

Hearing this, Zhi Xin was once again astonished.

Purple Cloud Peak was the cave mansion gifted to Wu Qingxuan by the Heavenly Master when she entered Core Formation.

Had she already awakened back then?

Zhi Xin had initially thought that his Heaven-defying Fate might have gone awry.

In truth, he was the pitiable one after all.

Unknowingly, two streams of tears rolled down Zhi Xin’s face as he thought of an utterly cruel reality.

"Will she... ever co back?"

Wu Qingxuan stayed silent for a long ti before saying:

"I’m sorry, she won’t. In the future, I’ll make it up to you. These past years... have been hard on you."

She would never return again.

From beginning to end, it was nothing more than wishful thinking.

At this mont, Zhi Xin raised his head abruptly.

Within his eyes, there was a sharp intent to kill!

His pupils turned pitch black, erasing all white from his eyes.

The clear blue sky was suddenly covered in eerie, dark clouds.

Wu Qingxuan’s pupils constricted, her elegant brows furrowing slightly.

She felt an incomparably dangerous force sweeping in from the unseen void.

The Nine Nether Curse Killing Technique!

"Enough! Stop this madness!"

Wu Qingxuan shouted angrily.

Eight towering deities appeared in the sky.

Each deity stood a thousand feet tall, radiating golden light. Their cold, star-like eyes guarded the eight directions.

The invisible power of the curse killing instantly dissipated into nothingness.

"The Upper Realm Eight Gods?"

Zhi Xin recognized this ultimate skill at a glance—it was none other than the Taoist Skill of the Yin Fu Lineage!

Wu Qingxuan stepped closer, one step at a ti.

Zhi Xin sneered at her and said, "What now? Are you going to kill ?"

The commotion had been so loud that many experts from the Taoist School were flying toward their location.

Wu Qingxuan let out a heavy sigh and said, "It shouldn’t have co to this. I owe you much, and I will repay it in the future. But I don’t want you to misunderstand and beco consud by hatred."

"I didn’t kill your forr self, but she died indirectly because of . Yet awakening these mories was never of my choosing, was it?"

Thinking of this, Wu Qingxuan spoke earnestly:

"Look forward. You’ve already regained your peak, and in the future, there’s still a chance for you to reach the realm of Primordial Spirit. Your disciple has a vast future ahead of him—can you really stand by and watch all of it crumble because of you?"

Zhi Xin looked deeply at this familiar yet unfamiliar face, his killing intent slowly retracting as his aura began to fade.

Her honesty had disrupted all his plans.

It was obvious—only two choices remained: to live or to die.

Wu Qingxuan seized the mont and continued, "As for Zhengsi, I’ve heard about it. I promise to discipline him strictly. If he dares provoke you again, I will ensure he is severely punished. As for Chuu Yuying, the Heavenly Master has rescinded the restrictions. From now on, you may do as you wish."

"Fine, leave. Don’t co back again," Zhi Xin said wearily, slumping into his chair as though all strength had left him. He waved his hand to dismiss Wu Qingxuan.

"Take care."

Wu Qingxuan—or rather, Ziyun—turned and left.

Zhi Xin sat in a daze for a long ti.

No matter how peerless one’s skill or perfected one’s Taoist techniques, it was impossible to bring back soone who had been dead for hundreds or even thousands of years.

Great sorrow and joy coexist in a single thought.

After a while, Zhi Xin regained his composure, his expression becoming calm.

He only trusted a fraction of Ziyun’s words.

First, she certainly didn’t feel guilty toward him.

If she truly felt remorse, why hadn’t she said anything years ago? Why hadn’t she spoken up during her resurrection, and why wait until after crossing the tribulation to reveal it?

Ultimately, it was because he still had value to her.

Now that he no longer served a purpose, she had chosen to reveal everything.

Perhaps she had sensed his recent changes in attitude and was afraid that he might discover the truth on his own. Revealing it herself was also a way to show confidence in her own strength.

So what if he knew?

Either he swallowed his anger, or she would discard all pretense and kill him outright.

Second, Ziyun wasn’t the grandmother of the Heavenly Master. The Tianhe Taoist was the Heavenly Master, so naturally, Ziyun was his wife.

Ziyun clearly hadn’t expected him to know about this relationship.

If she had known that Zhi Xin was aware of the truth, she might have risked everything to kill him on the spot.

Her earlier remarks about Zhi Xin and Song Lin’s future carried no small amount of veiled threat.

There had never been such shaless people in the world.

A robber, a liar—they truly made a fitting pair. Was this the character of the so-called Heavenly Master?

"Fine, let be a patient and submissive man, then," Zhi Xin said with a cold laugh.

For now, the only reason they hadn’t killed him was that he still held so value.

And also because they feared him.

After all, he was one of the top five figures in the Taoist School, fad for his mastery of the Divination Skill and with nurous friends both within and outside the Taoist School.

If he were to die without cause, the repercussions would be far-reaching.

More importantly, they still believed he was in the dark.

If Zhi Xin truly thought Ziyun’s awakening was a re accident, even if he harbored resentnt, he wouldn’t act out of line.

Even if the truth ca to light and the world knew of it, people might sigh and think the Heavenly Master was in the wrong, but it wouldn’t lead to his ruin or public denunciation.

In this sense, these two indeed had nothing to fear.

After all, his personality had always been that way.

Too bad... he was no longer the person he used to be.

"This secret should not be shared with Song Lin," Zhi Xin thought to himself.

Nor should anyone else know of it.

If it were to spread, his death would truly be inevitable.
