A group of people flew all the way toward the southwest direction of the Heaven and Earth Xuann Alliance.

That place was a no-man’s land, the stronghold of demons and ghosts.

Although the Wu Country was under the control of the Taoist School, there were many areas it barely touched.

Controlling a place depended on the benefits; if the costs outweighed the returns, few would bother with it.

Soon, a massive stretch of swamplands appeared ahead.

Looking down from ten thousand feet in the sky at night, the ghostly green ground was dotted with many colorful spots.

These were swamps, and the colorful spots were miasma.

Deep within the swamps lurked countless great demons.

Coupled with the swamp’s mist, trying to claim this territory would co at a steep price.

"Descend!"

Tianjie pointed at one of the white spots among them.

Whoosh!

The dark cloud dove rapidly, and the scenery below magnified continuously.

It was a white lake.

A forest was curiously growing atop the lake.

The trees were snow-white and straight, without leaves, with beanpod-like fruits hanging down from their branches.

The densely packed tree roots spread across the water’s surface, forming a ground of intertwined roots.

At this ti, another group stood atop the swamp.

Leading them was a Taoist with a third eye in the middle of his forehead, standing beside Yunzhou Society Commandery Officer Chuu Yuying.

The three-eyed Taoist gave Song Lin an extrely unsettling feeling.

Although he was standing there, he exuded an overwhelming sense of remoteness.

There and yet not there.

This person is a hundred tis stronger than Yuann Tiangang!

This thought flashed through Song Lin’s mind.

He dared not use Qi Observation Technique to investigate; at this distance, it could easily be noticed, and using Qi Observation Technique to pry into soone powerful could easily hurt one’s eyes.

Tianjie led the group down.

"City Lord, I’ve brought them here."

Deputy City Lord Yunhai scanned the group, and wherever his gaze fell, people instinctively lowered their heads, as if sensing an eerie divine power.

"Very well. Head north; the north is the location calculated by Master Zhi Xin. The rest will follow to the west."

i Hua and Zhi Xin had calculated different results.

The Heavenly Master didn’t favor one over the other and chose to pursue both.

After all, Master i Hua’s strength seed greater, so the majority of manpower was concentrated on this point.

"Alright," Tianjie nodded and said.

"Three hours. Regroup in three hours and set out."

Yunhai glanced at the sky, his expression growing solemn.

Boom!

At that mont, a piercing sound ca from the horizon.

The pristine sky seed to have been tainted by a drop of ink, which swiftly spread outward.

"The Black Heaven Dharma Image? People from the Black Heaven Law Alliance!"

Soone exclaid in shock.

From the black ink erged a group of people clad in black robes.

These individuals exuded a dark, sinister aura, their faces sharp and nacing, with thick Evil Qi swirling around them.

The black ink spread overhead and then abruptly contracted, transforming into a massive black dragon.

The dragon spanned thousands of feet, its scales gleaming in jet black, with blazing crimson eyes radiating brilliance. Its imnse body coiled in the sky, creating a powerful visual impact.

Hundreds of individuals followed behind the black dragon, casting scornful gazes downward at the group below.

"Taoist Yunhai, long ti no see," the black dragon spoke with a human voice.

"So it’s Taoist Black Dragon!" Yunhai responded with a calm smile, ignoring the faint provocations from the other party.

"Join us? We’ve found the entrance," Black Dragon sneered with arrogance.

"What a coincidence—we’ve found one too. Just not sure if it’s the sa."

"Heh, Eight Sceneries Peak has countless entrances. Only upon entering will the real journey begin. Enough chatter, let’s go!"

The black dragon’s form twisted, transforming back into inky water and vanishing.

"What a vile spell," Song Lin thought to himself.

The Black Heaven Law Realm Alliance worshiped the Great Black Heaven.

This sect’s cultivation techniques were infamous for their sinister and bizarre nature.

They specialized in using beast bones, demon cores, human blood, and living souls to cultivate their spells.

The Black Heaven Law Realm’s magic veins were neither as nurous nor as complex as those of the Heaven and Earth Xuan Sect.

The entire Alliance consisted of 36 magic veins, one Taoist temple, and 36 jungles.

The Black Heaven Dharma Image ford the foundation of their great thod.

By fusing the spirits of mutant beasts and demons into their own souls, they cultivated the Black Heaven Dharma Image, inheriting the abilities of demons in all aspects.

All 36 magic veins were built around the Black Heaven Dharma Image, augnted by magic artifacts refined from the spirits of humans or mutant beasts.

The power of these magic artifacts grew with cultivation and the accumulation of kills, whether of humans or monsters, making them extraordinarily fierce.

Even the Heaven and Earth Xuan Sect dared not provoke them recklessly.

The night deepened.

So fruits in the forest began to emit a faint white glow, with two or three glowing on each tree.

The group ditated and rested under the trees, while so, curious about the sight, whispered among themselves.

Noticing this, Tianjie chuckled, "These are the fruits of the Water Nymph Tree. The glowing ones are the Twelve-Season Everlasting Fruits. Eating one induces a seven-day trance, and upon awakening, your Qi Refining Progress improves."

The fruits matured one per season; those that were not picked fell off automatically. However, so remained attached, continuing to absorb nutrients and eventually transforming into Daffodil Fruits after twelve seasons.

"Director, can we pick so?"

Soone asked.

"You may."

"You all go ahead as well!" Song Lin said to Guu Yuchan and the others.

Soon, everyone around dispersed, leaving him alone.

Song Lin closed his eyes in contemplation.

He didn’t know when they would enter Eight Sceneries Peak.

Yunhai hadn’t revealed its location; all that mattered now was following his lead.

Tap, tap, tap!

Suddenly, the sound of footsteps reached him.

Song Lin opened his eyes to see.

In the distance stood an old Taoist with red hair and crimson eyebrows.

"Song Lin, as soone from i Mountain Jungle, why haven’t you joined in action?" Fire Cloud teased with a smirk.

"Didn’t expect to see you here," Song Lin replied, ignoring the question.

"Not only am I here, I intend to leave unscathed. And you? Do you think you’ll make it out alive?"

The spot Song Lin chose was isolated and shaded by trees, unnoticed by the others.

Here, Fire Cloud made no effort to conceal his killing intent.

An endless oppressive force surged toward Song Lin.

Song Lin rose abruptly and stepped forward to face Fire Cloud.

"Fire Cloud, stop pretending. You’re afraid of —afraid of my pace of growth, my Taoist Temple, and my alliance. You fear that I’ll usurp your position!"

The countless years of accumulated killing intent carried by reality and myth caused Fire Cloud to instinctively step back.

This was rely a Core Formation cultivator—how could he possess such overwhelming pressure?

Fire Cloud was about to retort but was cut off by Song Lin.

"Cunning and despicable—you hard my disciples, broke my alliances, and now want to kill ?"

Song Lin’s words were intense, but his expression remained composed.

"And what can you do? Chi Hai awaits you below. Oh, right—your Taoist Temple is probably already in chaos," Fire Cloud admitted bluntly, dropping all pretense. "As long as you remain a part of i Mountain Jungle, I can slowly play you to death."

Sixty years was enough ti for anything to happen.

Even if Song Lin escaped this ti, his disciples and allies would eventually crumble under Fire Cloud’s sches.

Song Lin shook his head, laughing faintly in mockery.

"This ti... let’s see who prevails."

He had once killed Yuann Tiangang, albeit by exploiting a loophole, but now, with the Dragon Mansion Gourd, he estimated his chances of victory were fifty-fifty.

"Hmph, we’ll see." Fire Cloud sneered coldly. "Let’s see what tricks you have up your sleeve."

"I’ll be waiting."

Song Lin refrained from making harsh threats.

The real threats would serve their purpose when he wiped out Fire Cloud’s family.

Initially, he had hoped for a straightforward battle with Fire Cloud, but the latter insisted on playing dirty.

Song Lin had no choice but to follow suit.

If his alchemy skills were perfected, his chances of victory would rise to ninety percent.

But when had preparations ever gone perfectly for a fight?

Fire Cloud had no intention of letting him rest easy, and while such unexpected events were unwelco, Song Lin wouldn’t back down either.

Fire Cloud believed this was an opportune mont to kill him, but didn’t Song Lin feel the sa?

"I’ll accept the challenge."

Song Lin’s gaze burned fiercely.

Eight Sceneries Peak—it would undoubtedly be the burial ground for one of them!
