Hundreds of demons soared on dark clouds.

Leading them wasn’t the horned giant fish but rather a green-eyed green jiao.

Behind the jiao-dragon were a tiger, a centipede, and hundreds of oddly-shaped little demons.

The demon energy surged to the sky.

Wherever the jiao-dragon passed, storms brewed, floods beca fiercer, and countless living beings perished.

The scales on the green-eyed jiao-dragon shimred like jade with specks of black stains—a clear sign this was a mottled jiao-dragon.

Pure-scaled jiao-dragons are the legitimate Dragon Species, inferior only to True Dragons in bloodline. Scaled jiao-dragons with patterns signify hybrids born of jiao-dragons and other species, resulting in a diluted bloodline and slightly weaker power compared to authentic jiao-dragons.

This particular jiao-dragon was nad General Python, a hybrid between a python and a jiao-dragon.

The jiao-dragon stood tall amidst the clouds, with its followers trailing behind.

Suddenly, they stopped near Hidden Sword Manor.

"General, such an intense human scent!"

The minion gazed greedily ahead.

"n! Charge forward!" General Python transford into human form, becoming a tall green-eyed man clad in golden armor, towering at ten feet.

"Kill!!"

"Devour! Plunder everything!!"

Though humans numbered over eighty thousand, there were only several hundred demons.

It seed like an uneven match, yet the demons felt suprely confident.

Human bodies were frail; even with eighty thousand or more, humans posed no real threat.

General Python led the charge, dragon scales faintly erging on his face, gripping a Dragon Tooth Sword with both hands.

"Jie jie!"

An eerie, chilling laughter echoed in all directions.

Scarlet demon energy blasted skyward like raging flas.

The spectacle reached dozens of miles away.

Below Hidden Sword Manor, the gathered crowd stared upward.

"They’ve finally arrived!" Lin Qing’s face was ashen, black demon patterns surfaced on his skin, his aura tilting toward transformation into an evil ghost.

"Mr. Song, we’ll each lead half the Taoists to block the demons."

"Everyone else, hold your ground!"

If the demons broke into the human camp, it would be akin to sheep entering a tiger’s den.

The demons’ Transformation Technique blurred the distinction between human and demon.

Furthermore, as Taoists, they dared not harm the innocent indiscriminately.

"You all stay here; I’ll handle this alone."

"Alone?"

The crowd couldn’t believe their ears.

The strength of that jiao-dragon was near Divine Establishnt Perfection, comparable to the power of Ziyuan, the second strongest back in the day.

"It’s fine!"

Song Lin recognized this as the perfect mont to build his reputation.

As the demons prepared to descend.

Swoosh!

The gray sky seed infused with green fuel, swirling into eerie green clouds.

The Yin Wind sliced through the air, emitting sharp, explosive whistles.

Twenty thousand Rampant Soldiers stood firm in the clouds, banners like forests, armor forming walls.

Leading them was a dashing white-robed general.

Seven beast-headed humanoid demon generals stood by his side.

"Form the Eight Arrays!!"

Erlang God’s voice spread far and wide.

Clang, clang!

Tens of thousands of Rampant Soldiers aligned themselves into eight distinctive formations.

They included the Heavenly Covering Formation, Earth Carrying Formation, Wind-Raising Formation... Snake Coiling Formation, forming the Eight Formation Map.

The demons were surrounded by the Rampant Army.

The formations constantly fluctuated; each of the sixty-four configurations wielded unique attributes.

From the human perspective below, a massive Eight Diagram erged floating in the void.

Hundreds of demons were rendered helpless within the formation.

Even when General Python revealed his true form of a hundred feet, it didn’t avail him.

Each rotation of the Eight Diagram inflicted another wound on General Python.

"Huh? The Rampant Soldiers can be used like this?" Shi Yinhua and Lin Qing looked shocked.

Wang Ziyue watched excitedly near the Soldier Formation camp led by Song Lin.

A prodigy fad for refining soldiers, he imdiately discerned the Soldier Formation Map was key to controlling these Rampant Soldiers perfectly.

Jiuyou, lurking in the shadows, was also caught off guard.

"So strong! What kind of opportunity did this person stumble upon?" Jiuyou’s face turned solemn.

From the mont he took notice of Song Lin, surprises have been ongoing.

Initially viewed as a minor figure, even General Python turned out to be no match, unable to fulfill the diversion role as anticipated.

Jiuyou now had to take this person seriously.

He wasn’t foolish—Song Lin’s prowess prompted reconsideration of his initial underestimation.

Frankly speaking, Song Lin was undoubtedly the most talented disciple since Xuanke Temple was founded. His cultivation speed was phenonal, and he had reford the Taoist Temple’s Rampant Soldier system.

If not for his cultivation technique encountering issues, Song Lin would have been an ideal candidate for the next temple master.

He was even harder to deal with than Ziyuan.

Thinking of his Primordial Spirit Sheep Demon, along with other Ghost Generals linked to his limbs, internal organs, and eyes, Jiuyou grew calr.

These entities were incarnations of the Netherworld Yin Demon.

The Sheep Demon, being the essential Primordial Demon nad Zhenwu, would surpass Jiuyou himself if unleashed.

The other generals weren’t weak either; while none had reached Core Formation, taking down General Python would be effortless.

"I’ll release the Sheep Demon tonight..."

Jiuyou plotted to capture Song Lin through the Sheep Demon, then find a secluded place for a possession ritual.

After all, no one else had witnessed the Sheep Demon.

Shortly afterward, the Rampant Army annihilated the demons.

At this mont, a vulnerability appeared in the formation, allowing General Python to escape.

"Stay here; I’ll track the demon myself."

Song Lin left those words behind and disappeared.

The opportunity had co!

Jiuyou followed Song Lin closely.

Like the mantis stalking the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind.

Song Lin chased General Python into a dense forest.

The red cedar trees were tall and straight, each requiring ten people to encircle.

Thick layers of fallen leaves swallowed steps up to knee depth.

Shadows blocked the sky above, leaving the ground cloaked in darkness.

Suddenly, two towering figures blocked Song Lin’s path.

One wore golden armor, stepped on blazing fire, wielding a long halberd; the other wore silver armor, stood atop a whirlwind, ard with a silver bow.

Above were five generals, each towering nine feet, draped in robes of different colors and representing the Five Elents.

Encircling him, four generals erged from all directions.

Song Lin stopped, face unperturbed, his eyes respectively transforming into Taiyin and Taiyang as he chuckled, "Sun and Moon Mystic Talisman Ghosts—unreleased? Four-limb ghosts: Earth Calamity, Heavenly Evil, Earth Evil, Heavenly Kill. Five viscera ghosts breathing across five energies... Hmm, let’s see, still missing the Sheep Demon."

Clang!

The canopy twenty feet overhead peeled back as the suffocating black energy poured in.

Song Lin gazed upward, finding an enormous head looming in the distance.

The face resembled black iron, its massive spiraling horns akin to sturdy pillars, eyes emanating eerie green light, jagged fangs akin to blades, breathing sulfurous demonic vapors.

The horned monster’s head hovered ominously, sizing Song Lin up.

"Jie jie, so you truly are aware."

The Sheep Demon emitted a sinister chuckle, its voice deep and reminiscent of Jiuyou.

Clang!

Eleven Ghost Generals charged toward him.

The Sheep Demon Zhenwu raised its fan-like hand and brought it crashing toward Song Lin.

Massive hand.

Boulders, flas, torrents, vines, flying swords—Five-Elent spells; blades, spears, swords, halberds; streams of Yin and Yang Qi—one gold, one white.

Multicolored dharma spiritual light illuminated the surroundings.

Devastation followed in its wake, as the ground split, trees shattered, and destructive energy sent beasts fleeing.

Song Lin’s brow revealed reinforced dharma patterns as his body glowed under the Moonlight Glaze, his Nine Yang Talisman Sword erging from his Heavenly Demon Stomach storage space, accompanied by nine fire dragons.

Simultaneously, vines sprouted from the earth while water dragons and fire dragons appeared in the air.

Boom!

The spells clashed with the Divine Skills of the Evil Ghost Generals, forming a massive ball of light.

The black palm overhead descended with imnse force.

Unfazed, Song Lin raised his head and ford the Five Mountains Seal.

A golden light manifested five feet above his head, forming a golden seal two yards wide.

Boom!

The Five Mountains Seal collided with the Sheep Demon’s enormous palm.

The ground erupted.

Song Lin’s legs sank deep into the earth, cracks forming on the Moonlight Glaze enveloping his body, struggling under the imnse pressure.

The Sheep Demon’s palm pressed downward relentlessly, the Five Mountains Seal teetering on the verge of collapse.

Song Lin quickly shifted hand seals, employing the Peace Seal, Spirit Official Seal, and Six Seals in coordinated synergy.

At last, he managed to halt the palm’s descent.

Having just blocked the attack, Ghost Generals flew in from another direction.

Song Lin shut his eyes, activating the Five Viscera Energy within his chest.

Boom!

For a hundred yards around, the canopy fractured entirely.

Multicolored thunderbolts descended indiscriminately—Yin Thunder, Yang Thunder—each strike three feet wide.

Everything it touched—trees, soil—instantly turned to ash or molten rock.

Standing within this thunderstorm, Song Lin beca a commanding figure, lightning snakes swirled chaotically around him, his robes fluttering in the wind, his hair disheveled yet fierce.

Beside the smaller lightning snakes, a vivid red Five Thunders Heavenly Master Order hovered overhead, radiating dazzling brilliance.

Ten consecutive thunderbolts struck.

Eleven Ghost Generals were instantly obliterated, scattering into ash.

One thunderbolt obliterates ten thousand spells!

The ancient forest was flattened, exposing Jiuyou’s colossal figure.

Black fur smoldered in patches, releasing the pungent stench of scorched flesh.

Jiuyou’s hand, previously materialized, had also been vaporized.

"You!!"

Jiuyou’s expression twisted, overwheld with shock.

He hadn’t expected Song Lin’s imnse strength or mastery over thunder magic.

Unbeknownst to him, Song Lin’s attunent with the Carefree Seal had deepened his Heavenly Human Connection, accelerating his thunder magic cultivation exponentially, fueled by his robust Innate Qi.

Lightning, the nexus of heaven and earth, erupted more intensely as Song Lin’s attunent strengthened.

A hundred-yard radius had transford into a magma-scoured wasteland.

Song Lin sat cross-legged amidst the devastation, hands forming an enigmatic seal.

"Your strength is exhausted, isn’t it?"

Jiuyou sneered, releasing another smothering breath of magic, summoning more Ghost Generals.

As long as Jiuyou’s core remained intact, these ghosts could be resurrected infinitely.

While Jiuyou admitted to underestimating Song Lin, he hadn’t anticipated such tenacity.

Still, regenerating his forces drained much of his own mana.

Dark chains materialized in the air, encasing Song Lin within a cage.

Pervasive black demonic energy seeped inside, leaving Song Lin visibly lifeless.

Jiuyou manifested human form, now pale from exertion, his expressions alternating between malice and calmness, struggling to subdue his own surging demonic energy.

He refrained from killing Song Lin, intent on preserving the body for possession later.

The Ghost Generals aligned in a mysterious formation, steadily funneling demonic energy into the cage.

"Finally succeeded. From this mont forward, no matter your secrets, all your opportunities are mine to command. With your na, I’ll beco the temple master. Rest easy and die peacefully."

Jiuyou muttered to himself, gazing at the imprisoned Song Lin with undisguised excitent.

Suddenly, Song Lin opened his eyes and grinned. "Alright, as you wish!"
