“Young master, your breakfast is ready, I heard that you're going to the Redhand Tower so I made your breakfast extra special.” a middle aged woman's voice sounded from outside the room.
“Coming.” a male voice sounds from inside the room. A man ca out of the bathroom with a towel covering his lower body. He had a normal body, neither lean nor muscular, his looks were above average but those looks were ruined by his sparse hair and the glasses he wore.
‘Another day of boredom. Why am I even still alive? This life sucks!’ thought the man as he dressed himself up.
This was Centura, a twenty eight year old man. He is born in a family of Awakeners and lives quite the luxurious lifestyle but it's not enough for him because of the talent he awakened. He awakened an Ability called Computer Mind, which enables him to quickly process information, better mory and quick thinking. What this Ability does is actually turn Centura into a human computer.
Everyone thought that Centura had awoken a powerful Ability but how wrong they were. In this day and age, a human computer is absolutely useless because people perform feats that a computer can't even fathom. They'd tried to test the usefulness of this Ability but apart from making Centura slightly smarter than everyone, that was basically it.
Fortunately Centura was born into a wealthy family so he always got what he wanted. Even joining a strong guild like the Rhino Guild was all due to his family's power and wealth. And today, the Rhino Guild planned to enter the Redhand Tower to try out their luck.
Leading this expedition was the A-rank Guild Master called Randy, a very powerful man. Centura ate his breakfast alone and left his house after he was done eating. His grandparents had hired a maid for him that was there 24/7.
‘Another day of boredom. When will sothing interesting occur in my life? I hope I die in this expedition, maybe that will be interesting.’ he thought to himself as the self-driving hover car took him to his destination. There, he t up with other guild mbers who were fully clad in gold armour which was very expensive. Centura was wearing his own golden armour which he bought for this expedition, after all, staying alive was the most ignorant.
[I won't go over what we've already discussed in the eting room but I will say this. If you don't follow my commands then don't expect us to rescue you when you're in danger. I'm not planning on being completely eradicated like the other guilds. We'll only check the first and second floors of the tower and retreat! Got that?!]
“Yes Sir!”
[Let's go!]
…
The Rhino Guild which had a hundred mbers in total entered the Redhand Tower and like the previous guilds, what ca into view first was the massive forest. Then, what ca into view next was the board of the Demonic Sect Recruitnt. Everyone ignored the board, thinking it was a trap. Only Centura seed interested in it as he walked towards the direction pointed by the board.
‘Finally, sothing interesting.’
“Hey Centura! Where are you going? Co back!” shouted one of the guild mbers but Centura ignored him and entered the teleportation magic formation. The teleportation activated instantly and Centura was teleported away.
[Forget about that loser! We continue as we discussed! Let's go!]
“Yes Sir!”
…
Centura on the other hand, found himself in a completely different place. It was a huge empty hall with only a few people there. A young man sat lazily on the only chair there. Three people stood behind him, two old man and one old lady.
When Centura appeared, s strong and invisible pressure fell on him and he absolutely had no way of resisting so he fell to his knees.
“Oh, finally soone cos to beco a Demonic Sect disciple. Tell , what is your na?” asked the person sitting on his throne.
Centura didn't respond imdiately but scrutinised the person talking to him. This person was wearing a black night gown and sleepers, a brush cut with a perfect trim, he had blue eyes with a hidden sharpness and intelligence in them. Currently, what these blue eyes were filled with was curiosity. His caral skin blended beautifully with the slightly dark environnt. He looked young, younger than even him.
“M-My na is Centura and I indeed ca here to beco a disciple. Am I really going to be accepted as a Demonic Sect disciple, I thought this was a trap, is it not?” asked Centura.
“Hahaha, of course not. We really are recruiting disciples but they have to et the requirents first. Tell Centura, what is your Innate Ability and what does it do?” asked the young man.
“You know I'm quite embarrassed to talk about my Innate Ability because it's a trash ability. My Ability is called Computer Mind and it allows to quickly process information, better mory and quick thinking, I'm like a human computer.” answered Centura in embarrassnt.
“Are you serious?” the face of the young man turned serious for the first ti.
“Y-Yes, what's wrong?” asked Centura.
The young man on the throne didn't answer but snapped his fingers and a person appeared. The man had a cloth in his mouth and his arms and legs were tied.
“Kill him.”
“W-What…N-No…!!!”
The man who was tied up also made noises and shook his head in refusal. Although Centura had killed a lot of things in his life, humans weren't part of that list. His conscience wouldn't allow him to do such a grueso thing.
“Centura, what creature have you killed most in your life?” asked the young man.
“Goblins.” quickly answered Centura without even thinking about it.
“Goblins? Good. Now tell , how did you feel when you killed the goblins?”
“I was hesitant at first but the more goblins I killed, I stopped feeling anything when killing them.” answered Centura.
“How would you describe your current life? Is it great? Are you enjoying it?”
“No! I an no. My life is boring. Nothing interests .” Centura answered this question almost instantaneously.
“What about hobbies and stuff? Have you tried anything challenging before?” asked the young man.
“When I was young, my mom took to a blacksmithing school to learn how to create weapons. But the thod we were taught was flawed and when I told the instructor this, he told I was talentless and causing trouble and kicked out. It was the sa thing with alchemy, magic formations, inscriptions and other stu…”
“Pwahahaha! Ahahahaha! You? Talentless? Hahaha! This is the greatest joke I've ever heard in my life.” the young man burst out in laughter, he laughed so hard that he walked away from his seat and returned to it after he'd stopped laughing.
“Centura, right. You're you're most talented person I know currently. Now, I want you to look at this guy like he's a goblin and I want you to kill him the sa way you'd kill a goblin.” said the young man.
“No! I can't!”
“Centura, take a deep breath and do as I tell you. Look at this man like you're looking at a goblin and just kill him. Relax your body and mind.”
Centura did as the young man said, he took a deep breath to calm himself and his thoughts down. He did all of this while looking at the tied up person. When he relaxed his body and mind, sothing in him seed to activate because his face beca expressionless and his eyes beca blank without feelings or emotions.
Seeing Centura’s changes, the tied up person got scared because when he looked at Centura, it didn't feel like he was looking at a human being but instead, it fell like he was looking at a robot.
“Mhmmmm! Mhmmmmm! Mhmmmmm!” he tried to plead for rcy but couldn't due to the rag in his month. Centura walked up to him and decapitated the person instantly and he did it without hesitation or remorse.
“Centura, tell , what or how do you feel?” asked the young man.
“I don't particularly have a feeling. In simple terms, I don't feel anything. I'm neither sad nor happy, I don't feel any guilt and I'm not to console myself or justify my actions. It's like when you squash an ant, you don't feel anything for it, after all, it's just an ant.” answered Centura in an emotionless voice.
“Centura, let tell you right now. You're gonna be the greatest killer the world has ever seen. Your legends will make even the strongest beings cower at the ntion of your na. I give you the status of a Core Disciple, welco to the Demonic Sect.”
“Thank you.”
