Loid who had also returned ho was currently kneeling inside a massive room. There were no windows there, just tall tallic black walls and continually changed in shape. Loid didn't know what kind of tal it was but it was very strong. A long black carpet with massive rune patterns was laid on the ground. The air was fresh and the Mana very dense and a tall throne made from the sa black tal was erected there.
On that throne was a person or rather an alien. He had huge big black eyes, taking up almost all the space of his face, two holes and a small mouth. He had a big triangular head, grey skin and the rest of his body couldn't be seen. If Nolan were here, he'd recognise this person as the typical alien from old Earth sci-fi and fiction movies and series. He was wearing a shiny black coat with very long collars.
Loid wasn't alone here but with his bodyguards and all of them were kneeling.
“Greetings Lord Father, your son has returned ho and seeks an audience.” said Loid respectfully.
He could feel his father's heavy gaze on him, the gaze of the King of the Roan Kingdom, Ro Roan.
[Ah. So my most useless son has returned. I wonder what you ca here for this ti around. Money, toys or another chance as a Crown Prince Candidate perhaps?] spoke the man telepathically but unlike Loid's, his was imbued with Force and power, making Loid almost lose consciousness.
In fact, that was what he was aiming for but unexpectedly, this useless son of his hadn't lost consciousness like he usually did. After enduring the ntal stress without fainting, Loid smiled and even raised his head and looked up without his father's permission.

[And what is your conclusion?] Ro asked. Loid was then enveloped by an invisible power and rose high up in the air until he was face to face with his father.
‘Father's Psychic Abilities?!’ Loid was internally shocked because this was the first ti sothing like this happened. It was also his first ti in a long while seeing his father so up close. Loid directly made eye contact with his father and beca dazed. Ro was unfazed by Loid's actions and even seed to enjoy them because for a split second, he actually smiled.

“My conclusion is that my hypothesis was correct. That guy is indeed much more terrifying than you and mother!” said Loid with a smile so bright and genuine that Ro subconsciously pulled out his hand from under his shiny coat and stroked Loid's cheek.
“My son…” this ti Ro spoke with his mouth. A soft voice sounded in Loid's ears, making him dazed once again as tears poured from his eyes. Loid seed to be taken back to the past by this soft voice, unveiling old mories hidden deep in his mind.

Nolan woke up feeling fresh, the pain on his cheek long gone after a night's rest. Yesterday night, they actually didn't have to travel far to find a place to sleep.

A hovercar ca to pick them up. The trip to Combat Zone took around two hours to get there which Nolan hadn't expected. Not just that, Combat Zone was in the middle of the desert. A huge colosseum was built in the middle of the desert. Hovercrafts of all kinds were parked outside.
The group ignored the fancy hovercrafts and just went inside the colosseum where it was like a battle arena. There was an audience that was going crazy while watching the fights from below. Hundreds and thousands of people filled the fighting stage, giving it their all. There was a huge gate blocking the participants from leaving the arena once they entered.
As soon as they entered the colosseum, a holographic screen appeared in front of them and provided all relevant information about the Combat Zone.
As its na suggested, this was a place for one to hone their combat skills and combat experience. It didn't matter if you had neither because once you join, obtaining both combat skills and combat experience was only a matter of ti. This place got only positive reviews by those who'd joined before and it was run by two people, brothers in fact, Kriss and Kross.
