Chapter 715: 701, Move the company to Beijing(3)_1
“Maomao, Daddy is going to hold you up high, so don’t cry, okay?”
Xiya, leaning against the crib, watched Maomao gradually calm down under Khan’s gentle coaxing, a small smile tugging at her lips.
She had him and now little Maomao. Their family of three didn’t seem so bad.
“Khan, there is sothing I have been curious about for a long ti.” She wore a slight twinkling in her eyes, then decided to ask the question she had held in her heart for so long.
“Yes?” Khan, busy comforting Maomao, looked up at her.
“You and Daisy, did you guys…” Xiya stopped mid-sentence, then continued: “Have you ever slept together after I left?”
Being sharp as usual, Khan instantly understood her, then deliberately pretended to be confused and asked, “Which one are you referring to?”
So this was what she had been struggling with all along, this silly girl.
Xiya: “Stop playing dumb.”
“I genuinely don’t know what you are referring to.” Khan claid with an innocent look.
“Did you two sleep together after I left?” Xiya, never one to beat around the bush for long, asked bluntly.
“Did Daisy tell you this?” Khan answered with a question.
Xiya forcefully demanded, “You don’t worry about that, just answer my question first.”
Khan looked at Maomao, who had stopped crying, placed her back in the crib, then walked over to Xiya and rested both hands on her shoulders.
Looking straight into her eyes, he curled his lips and said, “No, whether it was before or after we started dating, Daisy and I didn’t have sexual relations.”
Upon hearing this, Xiya’s eyes widened as if she had heard sothing unbelievable.
My goodness.
What does this an? She could hardly grasp it.
Could it be that before they started dating, he had remained a virgin?
No way.
Understanding her doubt, Khan cleared his throat, leaned closer, and murmured, “My ‘first ti’ was taken by you and so you’re responsible for it.”
This ti, Xiya was completely stunned.
Was he truly a virgin?
Soone who spent his days at bars with Bai Jue was a virgin… Impossible…
“Khan, you’re not lying to , are you?” Xiya, still sowhat incredulous, fixed her gaze on him, seeking any sign of falsehood on his face.
“And all those tis you were hanging out with Bai Jue at the bar, are you trying to tell
that you were just innocently drinking?”
Khan raised an eyebrow, “Why would I lie to you? If you don’t believe , you can ask Bai Jue for confirmation.”
“What about you and Daisy?” Xiya knew Bai Jue wouldn’t lie to her, but she still found it quite strange.
“Daisy and I dated for a while, but we never slept together, not once, I swear.”
There was always a sense of sothing missing when he was with Daisy–even though he couldn’t quite identify what it was. After Daisy left him, he was disheartened for several days, but when Xiya left, he felt like a walking dead.
At that mont, he realized he had truly fallen for Xiya. As for Daisy, she appeared during the split between his parents. During that painful ti, he didn’t reject Daisy’s company and they naturally beca a couple. But when Daisy suddenly proposed a breakup, he didn’t object and just like that, their relationship ended.
Xiya looked at him, and she had to admit, hearing these words eased the uneasiness in her heart.
“Is it strange to you that I frequented nightclubs and bars like Bai Jue, but never had sex with any of the won?” Khan asked while running his fingers through her soft hair. His words carried a sense of sigh.
Xiya nodded.
Of their group of four, neither Black Jack nor Jian Luo had won by their side. Only him and Bai Jue were changing won constantly, and every ti she saw them, they were with different people.
“My father’s infidelity caused my mother so much pain and suffering. She eventually made the difficult decision to divorce him. She always told
not to make promises or get intimate with anyone lightly unless that person stole my heart.”
Xiya furrowed her brows but quickly smoothed them.
So that’s why.
Even though she had never t his mother, she applauded her.
Gosh, she disliked n with a thousand faces.
Khan grasped her hand and circled back to the previous question, “So, are you considering marrying
now?”
Xiya nodded, remarking coolly, “I suppose I could think about it, but whether I accept or reject depends on my mood.”
Khan was elated. He cupped her face and planted a hard kiss on her forehead. “Good, as long as you’re willing to think about it.”
Xiya pushed him away, shooting him a disdainful look. “Who gave you permission to kiss .”
“Why don’t you put on the ring, since I’ve already asked? You can even just play with it if you want,” Khan suggested, a gleam in his eyes.
“You wish. I’m not that gullible,” Xiya snickered.
Wear it for fun, huh. It’d take him another eight hundred years to fool her.
If she put it on, she’d certainly never take it off.
“Then at least keep it.” Khan pushed the jewelry box into her hands along with the folder that had been resting on the couch, not giving her the chance to say no.
Then, seizing the opportunity, he went to make formula for Maomao.
Xiya watched him walk to the kitchen and, glancing down at the items in her hand, she chuckled.
She bent over to look at Maomao in the crib, lightly poking her soft little face and murmuring,
“Maomao, your daddy is quite an idiot, isn’t he?”
“A big idiot. Sweetheart, you shouldn’t grow up to be a fool like him. You should be handso and cool like mommy, and maybe flirt with so cute boys.”
Khan ca out with the baby bottle, hearing Xiya’s words and couldn’t help but worry for his daughter’s future.
His little princess being cute and adorable was good enough; having one queen in the house was plenty, if his sweet pumpkin turned into another little queen, he would be the unlucky one.
…
Study Room
As the pen moved across the paper, the rustling sound combined with the noise of flipping through docunts echoed in the study room.
Quan Jingwu, in front of the desk, finishing his last docunt, put down his fountain pen and looked up at the person on the couch flipping through docunts.
He put down the pen, stood up, and walked over.
Jian Qing, cross-legged on the couch, was surrounded by docunts on the table and couch, which despite being all over, didn’t look ssy.
“Not done yet?” Quan Jingwu picked up the docunt and placed it on the table, sitting down next to her.
“Almost done.” Without raising her head, Jian Qing switched to another docunt, then said, “Xiaojing, I was thinking about relocating the Jian Family’s headquarters in China to Beijing.”
The Jian Family’s current headquarters in China was located in S City; coincidentally, the Jian Family and JK International had a big cooperation case going on. Taking this opportunity to move the company to Beijing would be more convenient for her to commute, instead of having to travel on occasion.
