Chapter 618: 604, Purely Accidental (1)_1
Before Jian Luo could react, his collar was abruptly tugged backwards. He turned his head to et the man’s glowering face and unconsciously shrunk back.
Um, could he say that it was an accident?
Black Jack held Jian Luo tightly with one hand, his fingertips continuously wiping the side of his face where Bai Jue had playfully touched him. His azure eyes glinted dangerously.
“Bai, Jue!”
A sinister voice echoed, sending chills down Bai Jue’s spine.
“Um, it was an accident, absolutely an accident.”
While speaking, he continually sidled away, distancing himself from the conflict.
Black Jack’s eyelids lifted, his piercing gaze fixing upon Bai Jue. He gritted his teeth and asked, “An accident?”
“Yes, yes.” Bai Jue nodded frantically, “It was wholly an accident. All Jian Luo’s fault, not mine.”
Such successful passing of the bla, one might say.
Jian Luo bore a dark expression, shooting Bai Jue a sideways glare.
It’s as if he didn’t exist.
A smile played on Jian Qing’s lips as she watched the spectacle among the trio.
Black Jack halted, narrowing his eyes. His voice turned even icier, “You an this was Jian Luo’s fault?”
Bai Jue nodded without hesitation.
His tune changed to a fawning smile the next second as he saw Black Jack’s increasingly gloomy face, “Black Jack, let
explain. It was just a minor accident just now. Even though I was at a bit of a loss, I am magnanimous and won’t make a fuss about it.”
Those words made it sound like he was wronged to a great extent.
Jian Luo grabbed a pillow without thinking and threw it at him.
“Bai Jue, shut up. You’re the one at a loss? I haven’t even begun complaining about you yet, and you’re trying to get ahead of . Have so sha.”
Catching the pillow with one hand, Bai Jue smirked smugly, “You think I’m Black Jack, who would be happy to kiss you?”
“You…” Jian Luo was enraged, “Bai Jue, I’ll make sure to sort you out today.”
Saying this, he squird away from Black Jack’s hold, grabbed Bai Jue by the arm, and began to pull him out of the room.
“Go ahead, but don’t lose and start crying.”
Bai Jue quickened his pace without resisting Jian Luo’s pull.
In a corner out of sight, the two exchanged triumphant smiles.
Now was the perfect ti to escape. If Black Jack caught them, neither of them would be able to get away.
Black Jack watched the comical scene unfold before him, and as they neared the door, his eyebrows furrowed.
“Stop!”
“Strange, did soone, just speak to us?” Bai Jue feigned confusion.
Jian Luo played along, shaking his head, “You must be hallucinating.”
“Jian Luo!”
The deep voice beca even more icy.
Bai Jue cunningly pushed Jian Luo back with a chuckle.
“Uh, your partner is calling you. Let’s have our fight another day, alright? I’ll be taking my leave now, no need to see
out.”
With that, he skedaddled out of the room, faster than a rabbit.
Jian Luo saw Bai Jue’s figure disappear from the doorway in no ti, grinding his back teeth in anger.
Damn Bai Jue, he has no loyalty.
Feeling the fiery gaze on his back, piercing through him, Jian Luo reluctantly turned around with a forced smile.
“Black Jack, it’s all Bai Jue’s fault. Next ti I see him, I’ll teach him a lesson, I promise.”
He too was innocent, wasn’t he?
Black Jack snorted lightly, “Aren’t you coming over here?”
Jian Luo’s eyes lit up. Was he not angry anymore?
“Luoluo, this isn’t acceptable. You can’t let Black Jack hold you sway. Don’t forget, you are the one who will marry Black Jack.” Seeing Jian Luo sit next to Black Jack, Jian Qing playfully chid in.
Jian Luo was silently embarrassed.
His sister really loved to play tricks on her own brother.
Black Jack glanced at the person next to him and said in a low voice, “Jian Qing, I have already prepared my engagent gift.”
His implication: He was the one going to marry Jian Luo.
“Engagent gift?” Jian Qing raised an eyebrow, “I thought it should be a dowry.”
“Sister, there’s no hurry about this. You need to take care of your baby now, and then deliver a chubby little nephew for us.” Realizing the danger, Jian Luo quickly changed the topic.
“It’s a niece.” Quan Jingwu, who had been silent for a long ti, suddenly spoke.
Jian Luo scoffed, “How can you be sure it’s a little princess?”
Although he too wanted his sister to have a cute little princess, he would prefer a little prince, just to show Quan Jingwu up.
“It’s a little princess.” Quan Jingwu furrowed his brows and emphasized.
Jian Qing was amused by his obstinacy, saying, “Xiaojing, you’re being biased against having a son again.”
Quan Jingwu gazed at her, his large hand covering her head, and said sincerely, “She will be our little darling.”
“…”
Jian Qing and others struggled to suppress their amusent.
It seed like they couldn’t have a serious conversation anymore.
—Break Line—
The night deepened, neon lights flickering in myriad colors, dazzling the eyes and muddling the heart.
Luxurious sedans entered and exited in front of Dihao Bar. The dazzling crowd that ca and went could faintly hear the booming electronic music from the door.
Zhan Mingyan sat in the car, looking at the “Dihao” sign hanging high in the distance, her eyes flickered with excitent.
She may have grown up in Beijing, but due to her grandfather’s stern nature, she had never set foot in the famous Dihao Bar before.
“Mingyan, what are you spacing out for? Get out of the car.”
Quan Yifei unbuckled her seat belt, noticing the woman beside her motionless and gently reminded her.
Zhan Mingyan responded and quickly followed Quan Yifei out of the car.
Once out of the car, Quan Yifei hooked her arm around Zhan Mingyan’s shoulder and boldly said, “Let’s go, my dear, I will let you have a party tonight.”
“Yifei, don’t ss up our plan by ntioning why we ca here in front of my parents.” Zhan Mingyan warned.
Quan Yifei pounded her chest, saying, “Don’t worry, my lips are sealed. This is my second brother’s territory and nothing will happen. After all, we’re just here to attend a class reunion and will leave after a little while.”
Zhan Mingyan nodded and followed her in.
The flickering lights, the explosive electronic music, the dancing crowd, all kept Zhan Mingyan curiously looking around, her eyes sparkled bewitchingly.
“Mingyan, follow .”
Quan Yifei was quite familiar with Dihao Bar, having visited a few tis.
She held Zhan Mingyan’s hand, they went upstairs to a private room.
The mont they entered, the many stares in the room turned toward them.
“Yifei, Mingyan, you’re finally here.”
The woman sitting near the door stood up and gently pulled them in. Her warm voice was quite pleasing.
“We were just waiting for you two, co sit over here.”
The music in the room echoed again, but no one continued to sing.
The previously lively atmosphere was slightly awkward now.
“Yifei, you two are late, so you must drink a penalty first.” The one speaking was a female classmate who used to sit with Zhan Mingyan.
Quan Yifei and Zhan Mingyan complied without any pretense, each taking a glass, and downed it quickly.
