Chapter 522: 507, Fetal Movent, Call an Ambulance_1

Bai Jue returned to the inn, the first thing he did was to take a bath and change his sour-slling clothes.

With his hair still half-wet, he went downstairs, and when he saw the person lying on the table, he chuckled.

“Airport!”

He knocked on the table, startling Zhan Mingyan who imdiately jolted upright.

“Peacock Man!”

Bai Jue was already immune to this nickna, he pulled out a chair and sat across from her.

“Airport, get

sothing to eat.”

Zhan Mingyan laughed out of exasperation.

This shaless man, calling her ‘Airport’ but still asking her to make him food, such nerve.

“Get it yourself, I’m not your nanny.”

Did he pay her or what, why does she have to make him food?

“Is this how you treat your lifesaver?” Bai Jue clicked his tongue, “So, Miss Zhan is so ungrateful.”

“…”

“I prepared sothing for you to eat the other day, I don’t owe you anything, just stop making a fuss.” Her face turned red with anger, Bai Jue always managed to ignite her wrath.

“If you think you’re only worth a al, then I won’t say anything.” Bai Jue said with a rogueish grin, flashing his dazzling smile.

“It looks like you two are quite getting along.” Jian Qing entered from the outside, and, seeing the two sitting face-to-face, teased.

“Who’s getting along with him, Jian Qing, don’t spread rumors.” Zhan Mingyan quickly denied any such relation, looking at Bai Jue with disgust.

Jian Qing pulled out a chair and sat down, turning to Bai Jue, “I heard you developed the antidote?”

“Of course, who do you take

for, there’s nothing I can’t handle.” If Bai Jue had a tail to wag, it would probably be wagging sky-high by now.

“Get the final preparations done as soon as possible. If there’s nothing else, we’ll go back tomorrow.” Jian Qing shot him a look and stated.

At her words, a touch of surprise flickered in Zhan Mingyan’s eyes.

They were leaving tomorrow.

“That’s wonderful, I can finally go back to my beauties.” Bai Jue remarked wistfully.

Unbeknownst to him, his casual comnt darkened Zhan Mingyan’s face.

Jian Qing cast a glance at Zhan Mingyan out of the corner of his eye; a trace of a peculiar smile flitted across his eyes.

Bai Jue, oh Bai Jue, you’ve upset another girl.

“Jian Qing, aren’t you leaving with us?” Zhan Mingyan asked.

“No, we’re not going back to Beijing yet.”

Zhan Mingyan quickly responded, a sense of loss crossing her heart.

They were leaving. She wouldn’t have to see this annoying Peacock Man anymore. It should’ve been a joyful occasion, so why couldn’t she feel that way?

Beijing

After a night of heavy snow, the whole of Beijing turned into a world of silver frost, with a thick layer of snow covering the ground.

Early in the morning, Xiya was awakened by the doorbell. She put on her coat and went downstairs with her uncombed hair.

As soon as she opened the door, a gust of freezing wind blew in, instantly awakening her.

Looking at the man standing at the door, Xiya wished she could punch him right in the face.

“What are you doing waking

up so early?”

Doesn’t he know that a pregnant woman needs a good amount of sleep?

Yes, the man standing outside was Khan.

Since the ti he escorted her to the hospital, their tense relationship had relaxed considerably. These days, Khan practically reported to her every day and even brought her food.

“I brought you breakfast.”

Saying that, he waved the bag in his hand and walked in.

Xiya gave him a sidelong glance, stifling a laugh.

Wasn’t he a bit too comfortable around her? Had she invited him in?

“I’ve bought your favorite dumplings and stead buns, hurry and wash up before they get cold.” Khan placed the food on the table, the perfect picture of a dosticated man.

Xiya shut the door and walked over, glanced at the breakfast on the table, “Didn’t I tell you that you don’t need to co every day?”

“Your pregnancy is getting more visible by the day, and Jian Qing isn’t here. I’m worried sothing might happen to you.” The seriousness on Khan’s face rendered Xiya speechless.

Whatever, she didn’t feel like arguing with him.

She pulled her hair up and headed upstairs.

She soon ca back down wrapped up snugly.

Khan watched her enlarging belly; with every step she took, his heart would take a leap.

“Be careful, don’t trip.”

He reached out to support her, softly advising her.

“Can you stop nagging?” Xiya said exasperatedly.

If she walked any slower, she’d turn into a tortoise.

She sat down on the sofa, and Khan quickly brought the breakfast to her.

“Eat more.”

Xiya glanced at him, “Aren’t you eating?”

“I’ve already eaten.” Khan replied.

At his words, she picked up her breakfast and began eating comfortably.

Midway through her al, her face changed and she let out a groan of pain.

Seeing her like this, Khan was terrified and imdiately stood up.

“Are you starting labor?”

“Yes, call an ambulance, call an ambulance.”

Xiya clutched her stomach, and when she heard Khan panicking, she couldn’t help but roll her eyes.

Couldn’t he calm down?

Had he fed his intelligence to the dogs?

Seeing him about to grab his phone, Xiya quickly said, “Khan, I’m not in labor, calm down.”

At her words, he paused, his gaze falling on her stomach.

“You’re not in labor?”

Then why did she look so pained just now?

Xiya nodded reluctantly, “I haven’t even reached my due date yet, there’s no way I would be giving birth so soon.”

“Then, just now you were…” Khan put down his phone, asking in confusion.

“Just now the baby kicked , it’s moving, okay?”

She was at her wit’s end with him. She suspected that he would kill her with fright before the baby was even born.

Speaking of which, her little girl was being rather disobedient, choosing the mont she was eating to kick. She really was a naughty child.

“The baby kicked you?” Khan seed perplexed.

“Yes, it’s moving, not in labor.”

“Can I touch your stomach?” Khan looked at her with hopeful eyes, asking cautiously.

Xiya, who was sipping her milk, nearly choked.

She was ready to refuse without hesitation, but when she saw the pleading in his eyes, she hesitated.

“Just once.” she said quietly.

Khan nodded quickly and squatted down in front of her, his hand shaking slightly as he reached for her round belly.

Through the thick sweater, his large hand gently pressed against her abdon, and in that mont, his eyes beca teary.

This was his child, his little princess.

It seed as if there was a spiritual connection between father and daughter, as her baby started kicking again in Xiya’s belly.

Xiya frowned in pain, and the next second, she looked into Khan’s tearful eyes, she was taken aback.

“It moved, the baby moved.”

A radiant smile spread across Khan’s face.

A hint of resignation flashed in Xiya’s eyes. Unsure of what to feel, the smile in her eyes faded, and she moved his hand away.

“Ti’s up, retract your claws.”
