The night was deep, but no one in the manor could sleep.
In the living room, Master Jian and Uncle Qin were also waiting for news without rest.
Jian Qing leaned against Quan Jingwu, her eyes constantly focused on the computer screen.
“Beep–beep–”
A faint sound erged from the computer.
Black Jack and the others imdiately crowded around. Jian Qing took the computer, clicked on the screen, and a blue point suddenly lit up in the red and green lines.
“Found.”
Jian Qing’s eyes lit up, and she imdiately started to locate Jian Luo’s position.
“Where?” Black Jack asked.
“In a house in the suburbs.” As Jian Qing tapped the keyboard, she sent the location to Black Jack and Bai Jue’s phones.
“This place is about a two-hour drive from the manor.” Bai Jue looked at the GPS coordinates and said.
Even if they rushed there by car, it would take at least an hour and a half.
“If Jian Luo could send his location, it ans he is awake. With his skills, he should be okay for the mont.”
Black Jack, with his stern face said, “Let’s fly there directly.”
He couldn’t wait a minute longer.
“No, that’s too noticeable. It would be easy for soone to discover us, and this could put Jian Luo in even more danger.” Bai Jue disagreed.
Jian Luo was still in their hands, so they wouldn’t want to irritate the other party and risk making a bad situation worse.
“No, we’ll drive there.” Jian Qing stood up and said.
Flying there would indeed be too noticeable and could easily tip off the enemy.
Black Jack’s gaze darkened, “Ok, we leave now.”
“Grandpa, you and Uncle Qin should go rest. We will take care of the rest.” Jian Qing said, patting her grandfather’s hand.
“But without seeing Luo safely returned, I can’t put my mind at ease.” Master Jian shook his head.
“Uncle Qin, please help
look after Grandpa.” Knowing that he would worry and have trouble sleeping, Jian Qing did not try to persuade him further. She looked at Uncle Qin and said.
Uncle Qin nodded, “Miss, rest assured.”
“Let’s go.” Jian Qing looked at Bai Jue and the others and said.
Quan Jingwu stood up, holding her hand, “Together.”
“Ok.” She nodded.
A group of people strode out, disappearing into the night.
“God, please let Luo return safely.” Master Jian sat on the sofa, praying with his hands together.
Weiwei, you must be his guardian angel in heaven.
“Master, with Miss and the others on the case, Young Master will be fine.” Uncle Qin reassured.
“I hope so.” Master Jian sighed.
Four people, two cars.
Just as Black Jack was about to get into the car, his phone suddenly rang.
Jian Qing and others paused their steps and looked at him.
Black Jack saw an unfamiliar number. His blue eyes deepened, and he answered.
“Who?”
On the other end, Bryce was laid out on the bed, two won sprawled by his side, covered with bruises, seemingly after an intense encounter.
He chuckled, yet his eyes betrayed no mirth. “Long ti no see, Black Jack, my dear brother!”
“Bryce!” A chilling murderous intent suddenly emanated from Black Jack.
Hearing this, Bai Jue and Jian Qing turned pale.
Bryce?
Wasn’t he already dead?
Why has he appeared again?
Bryce laughed, “Ha ha ha, seems our thin connection of blood is still sowhat useful. You recognized
so quickly.”
“Bryce, is Jian Luo with you?” Black Jack gripped his phone, his face dark.
“Indeed, I had Jian Luo kidnapped.”
“What hell do you want?”
Bryce spoke sinisterly, “What do I want, don’t you know?”
“Bryce, if you dare hurt a single hair on Jian Luo, I swear I will not let you go.” Black Jack said coldly.
“Hah!” Bryce laughed scornfully, “Black Jack, you still care about Jian Luo as much as ever. I guessed right, he is indeed your Achilles’ heel.”
Black Jack’s eyes flashed a terrifying murderous intent, “Bryce, say it, what exactly do you want?”
Upon hearing this, Bryce laughed loudly and said fiercely, “Straightforward! I want the deed of share transfer of all the Sophallo family’s properties. I’ll give you two hours to prepare. I will send you the address. If you don’t show up by 6 AM, you know the consequences. Rember, co alone, otherwise don’t bla
for being ruthless.”
Black Jack’s gaze darkened, “I can agree to your conditions. But I have to see Jian Luo and ensure his safety.”
“Black Jack, you don’t have a say in this matter, I–”
Bryce’s words were interrupted by Black Jack.
“Bryce, I need to see Jian Luo, now, or I won’t agree to any of your conditions. Don’t forget, Jian Luo has the entire Jian Family behind him.”
Bryce cursed under his breath, “Wait.”
After hanging up the phone, Black Jack’s mobile rang again.
He saw a picture when he opened it.
It showed Jian Luo sitting on a chair, apparently unhard.
Upon seeing this, Jian Qing and the others breathed a slight sigh of relief.
“Black Jack, are you sure it’s Bryce?” Bai Jue asked.
They had all witnessed Bryce falling off the cliff and sinking into the sea… How could he be alive now?
If it really was him, they were in serious trouble.
“It’s him,” Black Jack said with a determined tone.
He would never forget the way that man spoke.
“Damn it!” Bai Jue’s eyes flashed a touch of irritation. If he had known, he would have shot him a couple more tis, to make sure he was dead.
“What did he want?” Jian Qing asked.
“The deed of share transfer of all the Sophallo family’s properties,” Black Jack replied.
These things were disposable to him. Only Jian Luo was truly important.
Hearing this, Bai Jue scoffed, “That guy hasn’t changed. After two years, he still harbors wild ambitions.”
He was more known for his underhanded and shaless tactics.
“I’m getting soone to deal with it right now.” Black Jack sent a text to his assistant.
When it ca to Jian Luo, he could not gamble.
Bai Jue didn’t try to stop him. If it were him, he would do the sa.
“Let’s go.” Jian Qing got into the car and Quan Jingwu started the engine.
Black Jack and his companion followed suit .
Under the cover of night, two cars left the manor.
