“Alright, please wait.”
The mont the waiter left, Jian Luo asked curiously, “What did you order?”
Black Jack cracked a smile, “It’s a secret.”
Jian Luo pouted, lowered his head and continued eating.
A little while later, a plate of sothing black was brought in front of him, and Jian Luo seed unsettled.
Swallowing, he turned to the other man, “Black Jack, what is this?”
“Grilled chicken hearts.” Black Jack replied calmly, folding his arms.
Jian Luo’s face pulled a confused look, shifting his gaze to the blackened dish, imagining the shape of chicken hearts in his mind.
Just thinking about it made him feel a little sick.
“Why did you order this?”
“Haven’t you always said you’re heartless? Here’s your chance to do so replenishnt.” Black Jack said leisurely, “Chicken hearts are hearts too, you’ll just have to make do.”
Jian Luo’s hand trembled, his fork fell on the table, and he had a sudden feeling of shooting himself in the foot.
Could this be his punishnt for slandering Bai Jue?
“So, can I not eat it?” Jian Luo murmured softly.
Black Jack shook his head rcilessly, “No, if you don’t eat, it ans that you were doing it on purpose just now.”
Jian Luo looked at the plate of chicken hearts, feeling a headache coming on.
He picked up his fork, got a small piece, closed his eyes, clenched his teeth and pushed it towards his mouth.

Suddenly, he felt his hand being held, and when he opened his eyes, he t Black Jack’s smiling eyes and looked at him confusedly.
“Why are you stopping ?”
“You were really going to eat it?” Black Jack let go of his hand, laughing teasigly.
“But you just said…”
“I was just teasing you, so you’ll rember.”
Jian Luo was stunned and then relieved, not having to eat that terrifying dish.
He pushed away the plate of chicken hearts in disgust, then waved the waiter over to take it away, not satisfied.
With the unappetizing chicken hearts gone, Jian Luo felt the air fresher and he buried his head back in his food.
Black Jack leant back in his chair, propping his head up with one hand and smiling subtly at the sight of the happily eating man across from him.
