Chapter 1167: 1142, Extra Story Seventeen (24)
After a brief silence, laughter erupted.
“Hahaha.”
Quan Shanshan’s eyes sparkled with tears as she laughed—her mommy was simply too funny.
Xi An’an also couldn’t hold back her laughter, and the feeling of tension vanished without a trace.
Downstairs, hearing the laughter from above, Quan Tianqi and the others exchanged knowing smiles.
“By the way, when do you two plan on getting married?” Mu Chen glanced at them both, his lips curling into a teasing smile.
Here cos the trouble.
Quan Tianqi and Jian Tianlin locked eyes, sparks flying.
“Seventeen, you’ve just chased down a wife, so you should consolidate the emotional foundation first,” Jian Tianlin said with a smile, rembering how he declared he’d get married before him; if he were to be overtaken, it would be too humiliating.
“You go ahead and be my groomsman first, soak up the wedding vibe, right?”
Look at how well he had planned it all out.
Quan Tianqi threw him a glare, “Nineteen, I’m your elder brother; it’s not your turn to go before . Besides, why aren’t you offering to be my groomsman?”
What a blissful thing this little rascal was saying.
“Didn’t Shanshan get married before us? Why aren’t you saying anything about her?” Jian Tianlin retorted.
Quan Tianqi gave him a disdainful look, “Can you even compare to Shanshan?”
That comnt irked him. Jian Tianlin turned to Quan Jingwu, “Daddy, in what way am I not comparable?”
Quan Jingwu sized him up seriously and said coolly, “You can’t compare in any way.”
Splat.
Right in the heart.
Feeling small and vulnerable, he ached for his too-rotund to embrace self.
Jian Tianlin looked at Quan Jingwu with a mournful gaze. Was this man even his real dad?
“Hahaha.”
Quan Tianqi and Mu Chen laughed until they convulsed.
This was just asking for a beating.
“Why don’t you two have a joint wedding?” Mu Chen suggested.
“No way,” they said in unison.
Then, the two glanced at each other, their mutual disdain unhidden.
“Daddy, nineteen is the younger brother, so of course I, as the elder, should get married first, right?” Quan Tianqi looked up at Quan Jingwu, flashing a ingratiating smile.
“No,” Quan Jingwu leaned on his hand, his bewitching and deep purple eyes slightly narrowing.
Jian Tianlin’s eyes lit up, seeing that his dad was still fair after all.
Mu Chen looked at Quan Jingwu and chuckled softly, always feeling there was more to his following words.
As expected, Quan Jingwu’s next sentence made the Quan brothers feel like they were picked up from a garbage heap.
Quan Jingwu’s thin lips parted to say coolly, “What’s the rush to get married so early, stay single for a few more years.”
Dear father, that’s easy for you to say without a care in the world.
Quan Tianqi and Jian Tianlin looked at each other and gave a wry smile.
“I think this proposal isn’t bad,” Mu Chen added fuel to the fire.
Jian Tianlin turned his face and spit at him, “If it’s so good, why did you marry Shanshan so early? Go stand in the corner.”
“Mu Chen, based on what you’re saying, do you regret marrying Shanshan so early? I should tell her about this, so she knows not to be despised by you without realizing it,” Quan Tianqi said with a half-smile.
Mu Chen quickly raised his hands in surrender, “No no, I was just joking.”
If his little ancestor heard this, he’d be sleeping in the study room back ho.
Quan Tianqi humphed, “I, too, was joking.”
…
In the car, Xi An’an thought about the day’s events at Shijin Haoting and couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
Quan Tianqi glanced at her sideways, “What are you laughing about?”
“Tianqi, your family mbers are all very interesting, and really nice too,” Xi An’an exclaid.
Quan Tianqi chuckled softly, reaching out to ruffle her head, “They will be your family as well.”
Upon hearing this, Xi An’an’s cheeks turned slightly red.
She turned her head to look out the window and realized that this road was not the one leading back to the hotel.
“Where are you taking ?”
“Now that you’re my girlfriend, of course, you should live with ,” Quan Tianqi’s eyes lifted at the corners, a moving smile brewing in their depths.
“Live with you?” Xi An’an was astonished.
“Is there a problem?”
“Of course, we’re not husband and wife, what would it look like for
to live with you?” Xi An’an spoke rapidly.
They had only confird their relationship today; she couldn’t possibly move in with him so soon.
“Are you hinting that I should hurry up and propose to you?” Quan Tianqi laughed quietly to himself.
“Not at all, don’t twist my words intentionally.”
Seeing that they were about to arrive, Xi An’an felt conflicted, “I didn’t bring any of my clothes; maybe you should take
back instead.”
The corners of Quan Tianqi’s brows lifted with barely concealed mirth, “Your suitcase has been sent over to my place, any other concerns?”
“You…”
Xi An’an looked at him in surprise; the man had obviously planned this all along.
“No need to look at
with such adoration, it’s to be expected,” Quan Tianqi stopped the car, pinched her cheek with a mischievous smile.
“…”
Xiao lines crossed Xi An’an’s forehead.
What to do with a boyfriend who’s a bit narcissistic?
After getting out of the car and entering the living room, Xi An’an changed her shoes, standing in place with a gloomy face.
Watching the man not far off ready to take her suitcase upstairs, she walked over and asked, “Which room will I stay in?”
He clamped her nape with one hand, pulling her close, his thin lips lifting into a mischievous smile, “In the sa room as .”
Feeling his eyes brimming with teasing laughter, Xi An’an’s face turned a deep shade of red.
She pushed him away and snatched her suitcase back, “Forget it, I’ll just stay at the hotel.”
Quan Tianqi caught her, chuckling softly, “Alright, I was just kidding.”
Xi An’an glared at him, still upset.
“Co on, let
show you your room,” he said, lifting her suitcase in one hand while holding hers in the other.
Her room was right next door to his, rely a wall apart.
“Tell
if there’s anything you don’t like or is missing, I’ll have soone co over to change it tomorrow,” Quan Tianqi said as he set her suitcase beside the wardrobe, “I’m off to take a shower, feel free to co and harass
at any ti.”
Speechless, Xi An’an grabbed a pillow from the bed and threw it at him.
“Quan Tianqi, would you die if you didn’t act like a rogue?”
Quan Tianqi quickly pulled the door to block the pillow, then peeked his head back in, “Go to sleep early, I’ll take you out for breakfast tomorrow.”
After bathing, Xi An’an lay in bed and took the ti to carefully examine the decor of the room; the photograph fra on the bedside table surprisingly held a personal photo of Quan Tianqi.
Really, she was so drunk with bewildernt.
Xi An’an shook her head with a smile, reaching out to pick up the photo fra; the man was dressed in casual clothes, sitting in the pavilion of the courtyard, the laziness in his eyes softening the sharp edges of his handso face.
She gently stroked the photo and murmured, “He’s a real seducer, a big demon, his love life must be highly prosperous.”
“Knock, knock, knock—”
The sound of knocking startled Xi An’an, almost causing her to drop the photo fra.
At this ti of night, she didn’t need to guess who it was.
She quickly put the fra back in its place, checked it thoroughly, then got out of bed to answer the door.
Upon opening the door, she was greeted by the man’s smiling handso face.
