Chapter 1124: 1109, Extra Story Nineteen (10)

“Not hungry at all?” Seeing that she truly had no appetite, Jian Tianlin asked.

Maomao nodded, “I had a full al at night, really not hungry.”

“Then if you get hungry rember to eat the food.”

“Got it, never knew you could nag like this before,” Maomao complained.

Upon hearing this, Jian Tianlin knocked her on the head in annoyance, “For whose sake do you think I’m here, ungrateful little thing.”

“It’s , it’s , okay?” Maomao mumbled.

A small soft couch was beside the sickbed, and Maomao grabbed a blanket, intending to make do for the night.

“As usual, you take the bed, and I’ll sleep on the sofa,” Jian Tianlin said softly, lifting the blanket.

“I’m not the patient here; if I want to sleep in a bed, I could just go ho,” Maomao pulled back her blanket and pushed him away, “Ouch, you go get so sleep.”

Jian Tianlin talked himself dry, but Maomao simply wouldn’t listen to him. In the end, he couldn’t outstubborn her and had no choice but to give in.

In the middle of the night, Maomao woke up.

However, she woke up because she was hungry.

She sneakily glanced at the person sleeping on the sickbed, then tiptoed towards the sofa.

During this ti, she held her breath and did not dare to make a sound.

In the darkness, the person on the sickbed swiftly opened his eyes and looked at the delicate figure’s back, a faint smile appearing on his thin lips.

Maomao, clutching the food container, drank the porridge with satisfaction, fearing that Jian Tianlin might wake up midway, and kept glancing back from ti to ti.

Little did she know, the mont her feet touched the floor, the person on the sickbed had already awakened.

After eating enough to be half-full, Maomao quietly moved back to the soft couch to sleep.

Because of her craving for a late-night snack, by the next morning, Maomao’s stomach was in turmoil.

After several trips to the bathroom, she was grasping the wall each ti she ca out.

How unlucky she was, getting an upset stomach from a late-night snack.

“Are you okay?” Jian Tianlin held her down to sit, his brows knitted with concern.

“You try it,” Maomao said weakly, her little face pale.

“Drink so water first.” Jian Tianlin poured a glass of warm water and handed it to her, “Told you to eat while it’s hot, but you wouldn’t listen. Getting up to eat in the middle of the night, silly girl.”

Maomao drank water without a word of rebuttal.

If it hadn’t been for him yesterday, she wouldn’t have been so disheartened at dinner, hastily eating a few bites and that was it, not enough to make her hungry in the middle of the night looking for food.

“Take the dication as well,” Jian Tianlin said.

Seeing his stern face, Maomao felt a tiny bit of grievance, “Got it, got it.”

After taking the pill, the doctor ca to give her an IV drip.

“Maomao!”

Khan pushed the door open and saw his girl leaning on the sickbed, a pained expression on his face.

“I’m telling you two, one with a food allergy and the other one ssing up her stomach from eating, are you planning to put on a show or sothing?” Xiya swept a glance over them both, jokingly said.

“Maomao, I heard your ‘dark cuisine’ sent Tianlin to the hospital?”

Already pale, her face flushed slightly at the tease, “It was an accident, okay? I didn’t know he’s allergic to pepper powder.”

Xiya pulled up a chair to sit down, rembering the bowl of noodles she saw on the dining table when she got ho, and her look at Jian Tianlin was filled with even more sympathy.

“Sorry about that, huh.”

“It’s fine, I’m all better now,” Jian Tianlin laughed.

On the other side, Khan was fussing over Maomao.

Truly, every parent felt for their own child.

“Maomao, didn’t I have the housekeeper cook you dinner last night? Didn’t you eat it?”

Maomao guiltily lowered her head, “I did eat.”

“I rember you don’t like to eat late at night. Did you eat less because the dinner wasn’t to your liking?” Khan considered whether they needed to change the chef at ho.

“No, I just didn’t have much of an appetite last night. There’s no need for a new chef,” Maomao quickly saw through her dad’s concerns; she didn’t want soone to lose their job because of her.

Off to the side, Jian Tianlin smiled aningfully.

He rembered soone telling him she had a full dinner yesterday.

As for the reason she had no appetite, he was rather curious.

After finishing the discharge formalities, Jian Tianlin followed them ho.

After discussing a partnership with Khan, Jian Tianlin’s attention drifted to the Courtyard outside.

Seeing this, Xiya’s eyes flashed with realization, “Tianlin, are you looking for Maomao?”

Confronted with her eager curiosity, Jian Tianlin candidly admitted.

With only a slight hunch before, once he nodded, Xiya beca even more convinced, her eyes twinkling brighter at him.

“Tianlin, actually, as my son-in-law, I think you’d be quite alright. What do you think?”

Look, that’s fate right there.

It looked like her chances of having Jian as her son-in-law were quite hopeful.

Jian Tianlin chuckled softly, “I think so too.”

At his words, Xiya’s laughter was uncontrollable.

“Good luck, I’m rooting for you,” she said.

Jian Tianlin nodded with a smile.

Khan, having gone to the Bathroom and co back, didn’t realize what had just happened as he saw the two chatting pleasantly.

If he knew soone was eyeing his daughter, he’d probably be chasing them away with a broom.

“What are you chatting about so happily?” He walked over and sat down next to Xiya.

“Oh, nothing,” Xiya winked at Jian Tianlin and then ran upstairs with her phone.

“Where are you going?” Khan asked.

“Haven’t talked to Jian in a while, just going to chat with my buddy,” said Xiya, and then her figure disappeared up the staircase.
