Chapter 1104: Shanshan Side Story (31)

It wasn’t long before she walked out of the bathroom, eyes closed, and made her way back to the bed.

She lay down and pulled the covers over herself.

Sothing didn’t feel right.

Shanshan quickly opened her eyes, sensing a gaze beside her. She swiftly turned her head and, as expected, t the man’s black eyes, twinkling with amusent.

Instantly, she sprung up.

“Mu Chen, you, why are you here?”

Mu Chen stood up and sat down at the edge of the bed, “Weren’t you looking for ? So here I am.”

Shanshan shook her head, but couldn’t rember what happened last night.

Damn it.

She had a blackout from drinking.

Annoyance flitted through her eyes as she slapped her head.

“If you can’t rember, then stop trying.” Mu Chen caught her hand, his fingertips gently smoothing her ssy hair.

Shanshan retreated, avoiding his touch.

“Shanshan?” Mu Chen’s hand hung in the air, his gaze uncertain as he looked at her.

“You’re lying. You said you would co to Beijing to find

when I graduated. I waited for you all day, and you didn’t show up,” Shanshan pouted, feeling aggrieved when she brought up her graduation day.

Seeing the grievance in her eyes, Mu Chen spoke gently, “Then how about I apologize to you?”

Shanshan huffed lightly, turning her head to ignore him.

“Shanshan, who did you drink with last night?” Mu Chen tried to broach the subject tentatively.

Shanshan responded indifferently, “What’s it to you?”

Mu Chen smiled helplessly.

His little girl sure had a temper.

“Are you still dizzy, hungry?”

Shanshan huffed again, “What’s it to you?”

A gleam flitted across Mu Chen’s eyes as he leaned in close, bracing his hands on either side of her, “Shanshan, you weren’t like this last night, were you?”

His aningful smile sent a jolt to the very pit of Shanshan’s stomach, and she blurted out, “What was I like last night?”

Could she have gone crazy after drinking too much?

“You said you missed

so much, and you also said…” His voice trailed off, Mu Chen watched her surprised expression and continued to tease her.

“I like Mu Chen the most.”

Their faces were so close that their warm breath caressed each other’s skin.

Shanshan’s eyes widened, and she pushed him away with a sudden move, then jumped out of bed.

“Oh my God!”

She rushed into the bathroom, leaving Mu Chen leaning against the bed, propping his head up with one hand, his fine lips curving into an attractive arc.

“Heh.”

“Bang—”

The bathroom door closed and then opened again.

Shanshan ca back, her hair slightly disheveled, her delicate eyes blazing. She reached out and pulled up the person lying on the bed.

“You’re lying. I clearly didn’t say those things last night.”

She almost believed his nonsense.

“No, you did say it,” Mu Chen insisted firmly.

Shanshan was annoyed, her small pale hand reached for his arm and gave it a fierce twist, “I did not.”

Seeing her bristling like an angry kitten, Mu Chen couldn’t help but feel nostalgic, pretending to concede, “Alright, let’s say you didn’t say it.”

“…”

What do you an ‘let’s say’? She clearly didn’t say it.

“Don’t be mad at . How about I take you out for breakfast?” Mu Chen held her hand and lightly pinched her tender cheek.

“I’m not having breakfast with you.” Shanshan shook off his hand and turned to walk towards the bathroom.

Mu Chen watched the closed bathroom door, his eyes twinkling with adoring amusent.

After a while, Shanshan finished washing up and ca out to find the room empty.

She frowned. He hadn’t left, had he?

“Mu Chen!”

She scanned the room at a glance and even searched outside the floor-to-ceiling windows, but his figure was nowhere to be seen.

Stupid Mu Chen, he has no patience at all.

He even said he wanted to apologize.

No sincerity.

Her phone on the table vibrated with a “buzz buzz,” Shanshan reached out to pick it up—it was a call from Jiang Shan.

“Shanshan, we’re having breakfast at the restaurant, do you want to co join us?” Jiang Shan’s voice was full of energy early in the morning.

“Sure, I’ll be right there.”

After hanging up the phone, Shanshan changed into a new outfit and headed out.

Early in the morning, the restaurant wasn’t very crowded.

As soon as Shanshan walked in, she looked up and saw Jiang Shan and the others.

“Shanshan, over here.” Jiang Shan waved at her.

Shanshan walked over quickly, Zhou Xu pulled out a chair, “Sit.”

Shanshan thanked him and then sat down, “How co all of you are up so early?”

“It’s not early, buddy, we’re here to travel, not just to sleep,” Lin Jun said while sipping his coffee.

“What are you calling buddy?” Shanshan handed the nu to the waiter and then gave Lin Jun a white look, “Call

a fairy.”

“I’m sorry, fairy, my mistake,” Lin Jun nearly spat out his coffee.

“Hahaha.”

The others laughed with snorts.

“So, what’s the plan for today?” Shanshan asked.

Jiang Shan, “We haven’t decided yet, do you guys have any places you want to go?”

Their excursion could be described as a spur-of-the-mont trip with absolutely no plans or preparations made.

“How about we go…” Zhou Xu was just about to speak when Zheng Nan kicked him and coughed twice.

Zhou Xu looked bewildered, “Why did you kick ?”

“Cough cough.” Zheng Nan gestured for him to look towards the door, and Zhou Xu turned his head in confusion, realizing the situation as he saw the people walking in.

How co he had to see this annoying guy so early in the morning again.

Lucky he hadn’t said anything yet, or if Fang Bo heard it, with his personality, he’d definitely make another “coincidental” encounter happen.

When Fang Bo saw Shanshan, his eyes lit up and he walked over to her, “Shanshan, what a coincidence, you guys are here too.”

Shanshan continued eating her breakfast, completely ignoring him.

Jiang Shan and the others were speechless.

Claiming it’s a coincidence every ti, isn’t that line getting old?

“We are planning to go to the ski resort today, do you want to join us?” Fang Bo’s gaze stayed glued to Shanshan as he spoke.

His intense gaze made others uncomfortable.

“Please don’t disturb us while we’re having breakfast,” Shanshan said coldly, putting down her knife and fork.

Fang Bo’s face couldn’t have looked worse, torn between staying and leaving.

“Shanshan, you…”

“OMG, such a handso guy,” Jiang Shan suddenly exclaid.

Fang Bo thought Jiang Shan was complinting him and his gloomy face brightened a bit.

“He’s coming our way,” Jiang Shan said excitedly, tapping Shanshan’s hand, “Shanshan, look quick, he could rival your two brothers in looks.”

Shanshan raised an eyebrow, rival her two brothers?

Wasn’t that a joke?

“Just take a look and you’ll know,” urged Jiang Shan.

“Well, you’re right, he really is quite handso,” Lin Jun said with a smile, “Zhou Xu, you’re not even half as good-looking as him.”

Zhou Xu’s face darkened, “Get lost.”

Complinting soone else is fine, why step on him in the process?

Hearing their comnts, Shanshan grew sowhat curious and turned around to look. The man’s sharply chiseled, handso face ca into view.

She was montarily stunned.

Hadn’t he left?

Before she could collect her thoughts, her attention was captured by the roses in his hands.
