Chapter 1101: Shanshan Extra (28)

Who let him never co to find her despite all this ti, not even bothering to send a single text ssage, the stingy ghost.

“Shanshan, what are you doing standing at the door? Co in,” Jian Qing said.

Shanshan put the letter back into the envelope and carefully tucked it away.

She trotted over to Jian Qing’s side, sat down beside her, and affectionately looped her arm through Jian Qing’s, “Mommy, I want to ask you sothing.”

Jian Qing looked at her with a mischievous gaze, “Is it about Mu Chen?”

Shanshan cleared her throat uncomfortably and then nodded, “Mommy, what has Mu Chen been doing these past few years? Was he tied up by sothing, which is why he didn’t call

or co to Beijing?”

Jian Qing chuckled softly and pinched her cheek, “If you’re so curious, why didn’t you ask him in your letter?”

Shanshan sighed lightly, her eyes tinged with a touch of sadness, “Even if I asked, he wouldn’t tell .”

“Don’t worry, he has been writing to you all along, so that proves he’s all right,” Jian Qing’s eyes flashed with profound aning, “He will co to see you very soon.”

“Really?” Shanshan had always trusted her mother’s words without a doubt.

Jian Qing nodded lightly, her expression turning teasing, “Shanshan, why do I feel like you’ll marry no one but Mu Chen?”

“Mommy!” Shanshan stamped her foot lightly and then ran upstairs, “I won’t talk to you anymore. I’m going back to my room to catch up on so sleep.”

She was dead tired from rushing back from Y Country the day before.

Jian Qing laughed softly, probably she was going to her room to reply to the letter.

Elsewhere

“Young master, I’ve dealt with the people from the second and third branches,” Del looked towards the man not far from him, a trace of relief flashing in his eyes.

He thought that his master and mistress could now rest in peace in heaven.

In front of the floor-to-ceiling window, the man was dressed all in black, his tall and straight stature imposing. He turned slowly, and under the light, the corners of his eyes glinted with a sharp chill, like daggers.

“Where is that person?”

That person was how he referred to the one who claid to be his grandfather.

Del said, “Upon hearing that it was you who took action against the second and third branches, the old family head fainted from anger yesterday; he is now in the living room waiting for you.”

Mu Chen’s lips curled with a trace of mockery. Was he waiting to settle accounts with him?

“Don’t let a single one from the second and third branches slip through the net. As for the corporation, proceed as I instructed before.”

He wouldn’t let off anyone involved in his parents’ deaths; he aid to reclaim everything with interest.

“Yes.”

Mu Chen strode out. He needed to quickly sort out matters here so he could fulfill the promise to his little lady.

He had waited far too long for this day.

He didn’t want to delay a single second longer.

In the living room, the atmosphere was filled with tension.

On the empty couch only the old man was sitting alone.

Hearing the footsteps, he looked up and his face imdiately showed displeasure.

He tapped his cane on the floor, producing a heavy, dull sound.

“You still know to co back?”

“Is there sothing you need?” Mu Chen asked coldly, directly ignoring his displeased expression.

Wen Lisun’s face showed his dissatisfaction as he stood up, brandishing his cane without a second thought toward Mu Chen, “You scoundrel, you still have the nerve to ask

what’s wrong.”

Mu Chen sidestepped to avoid it, his gaze toward him cold and unlting.

He was no longer the child that anyone could hit and scold at will. For the matters regarding the second and third branches, he seed quite active; why hadn’t he shown a trace of distress for his own parents’ issues back then?

Wen Lisun, hunched over, staggered as he missed his target. If it weren’t for his cane, he would have fallen already.

“Tell , why did you lay your hands on your second and third uncles’ families?” he asked angrily.

Mu Chen curled his lips into a cold chuckle, “Why, don’t you understand? If it wasn’t for their collusion behind the scenes back then, my parents wouldn’t have died a miserable death. If you hadn’t insisted on making my parents divorce, they would still be alive. They are the masterminds behind this, and you are an accomplice.”

Wen Lisun clearly saw the hatred in his eyes, and that fiercely cold aura made him shiver.

“You…”

Once a small boy at his disposal had grown up, and what was more terrifying was that he had grown beyond his control.

Before he could say more, Mu Chen interrupted, “I won’t let any of them off, including the corporation you hold dear. I will destroy everything one by one, and you will watch as all you hold dear becos a laughingstock.”

At the ntion of the corporation, Wen Lisun’s expression suddenly tightened, “What are you planning to do?”

“After tonight, your corporation will officially declare bankruptcy and will be acquired by another,” Mu Chen said, his lips curving into an arc as cold as dark ice.

“And the person acquiring your corporation will be .”

“You…”

Wen Lisun’s face turned pale, his lips trembling continuously.

“You ungrateful wretch, must you annihilate us completely?”

If he had known this day would co, he would have never let anyone bring him back; he should have left him to fend for himself outside.

“Isn’t extermination the tactic you taught ?” Mu Chen said with a scornful smile and then strode out briskly.

In the end, he added, “Tell them, if they don’t want to die uglier deaths, they had better not make any more petty moves.”

Wen Lisun watched his retreating figure, collapsing to the ground, his eyes brimming with despair.

In the end, he, of all people, had been brought down by his own grandson, how sad and laughable.

Nuo En, you really produced a fine son, a fine son indeed…

In haste, Mu Chen headed straight to Shijin Haoting after getting off the plane, only to find that Shanshan had left for Y Country a day earlier.

He had hurried back from Y Country, and his little girl had taken off to Y Country; it was truly a cruel jest.

“Mu Chen, have you sorted out everything?” Jian Qing poured a glass of water and placed it in front of him.

Mu Chen curled his lips into a smile, “Mhm.”

“Shanshan has been talking about you constantly. It has been six years since she got a call from you, and you haven’t visited Beijing even once. If she catches you, you’re going to have a lot of explaining to do,” Jian Qing teased.

Mu Chen chuckled, showing a rare sense of humor, “That could be a problem.”

Jian Qing saw his preoccupied look and smirked slightly, “Go find her, and just a reminder, Shanshan went to Y Country to have fun with a group of classmates, and among them, there are a few who have even given her love letters.”

Upon hearing this, Mu Chen’s expression stiffened montarily, and catching Jian Qing’s teasing gaze, he coughed lightly, “I got it.”

He stood up, bowed to Jian Qing, “Auntie, thank you.”

Jian Qing humd softly, and Mu Chen took the car keys and then spun around to leave.

“Youth is wonderful!” Jian Qing lifted her coffee cup, took a sip, and exclaid with a smiling face.

“Darling, who were you talking to?” Quan Jingwu ca downstairs, asking in a low voice.

Jian Qing replied with mischievous delight, “Your future son-in-law.”

Quan Jingwu snorted, “The wedding date isn’t even set.”

Thinking about letting soone marry his daughter, that was still a long way off.

Jian Qing’s eyes curved with amusent, clearly taking his jealousy in stride.
