Was it a dream? Acheron thought as she saw a prosperous Voltaris Kingdom, she was twenty now, her father past his pri and her mother on his side also old but healthy.

It was her coronation ceremony, sothing she had always wanted to have. Her parents seed so happy, it almost felt unreal. Maybe it was but even if it was she didn’t want it to end.

She walked towards the platform and went up the stairs, where her parents stood alongside other kingdom officials.

Behind them was the throne of her father, now embedded with more jewels for her, in her father’s hands was a crown, the sa crown he wore, his father wore and his father also wore.

It was a surreal mont, her father walked towards her and extended his hand and grabbed her hand as he brought her to where she was supposed to stand.

She wore a black dress, adorned with red flowers and her hair tied with jewels of the rarest quality.

It was an elegant dress which gave her enough room to bend and go to one knee, her father took out his sword and blessed her.

He then grabbed the crown and carefully placed it on her head, it fit her as if it had always belonged to her.

She got up and the crowd gathered to see the coronation of their new queen exploded and cheered for her.

Her father hugged her and her mother joined in too, then both of them made way for her. In front of her was the throne, so close to her. She slowly walked towards it, her hand brushed on the silk covered cushions on the arms.

She turned and slowly sat on it and adjusted herself on it. It felt comfortable but there was a sudden weight she felt on her shoulders.

The throne wasn’t rely for decoration, being a ruler ant there were imnse responsibilities.

She looked at her parents, they smiled but the clear sky turned dark and their smile was replaced by no expression, they didn’t even have any expression on their faces, they were blurred.

Her breathing quickened and she gasped for air and jolted awake. All of the things she had seen were a dream, a dream in which she wanted to stay for eternity.

She saw her surroundings had changed, she was back in her old room, in the distance she saw her father who looked at her with a pained expression.

His hair was now fully grey, it hadn’t even been too long and yet age hit him like that. Wrinkles ford on his forehead as he walked towards her.

"F-father..." She muttered, unable to say another word.

"It’s alright, Acheron...I’m sorry." He said and lowered his head.

Tears dropped on her hands which he held, he had blad himself for what happened to her. If only he wasn’t on the verge of dying from a cold, he could’ve prevented all of this.

But he was also scared of her, of what she did back in the Elven Kingdom. The thing he didn’t want to happen...happened.

She drank human blood and almost ended the royal Elven bloodline, but she was not to bla for this.

Being whipped and tortured and then getting kidnapped and taken to a foreign nation would drive even an adult to madness and she was just a little girl, only nine years old.

"My daughter, ever since I woke up from the coma I tried looking for you and eventually found you. But you see, during the ti I was in coma, that bitch manipulated the council and everyone to stand against and you." He said and paused.

He looked at her crimson red eyes, the eyes glowed as if rubies were fitted in there. "I’m sorry for what I have to do...I have no other option...I don’t want to see you dead just like your mother."

But before he could finish it, guards stord inside her room. They clearly knew the king was inside the room but they didn’t care.

It was as if he was not the king and they answered to soone else. They dashed forward but he blocked them.

"What is the aning of this? Guardian Knights!" He shouted.

Five guardian knights, dressed in black armor entered the room from behind him.

"Yes, Your Majesty." Their leader ca forward and bowed in front of the king.

"Take these fools out and put them in the dungeons, how dare they act against and my daughter. Looks like they forgot whose Kingdom this is." He blurted out.

As if waiting for the guardian knights to follow his order he turned and looked at them, the leader stabbed him with his own sword. It pierced his heart and ca out the back.

He coughed blood and his body went limp, then they grabbed Acheron and dragged her outside.

There n in black robes stood in the courtyard as they chanted sothing. Not far away from them the Mother Regent and her son, the new king stood with grins on their faces.

Her blood boiled, that bitch had orchestrated all this and got her father killed just like she did with her mother.

Acheron wanted to jump at her and claw her heart out and feed it to the hounds her father kept but she was being retrained.

Cuffs were put on her arms as she was forcefully dragged towards the robed n. Then she saw a glimpse of their faces.

Crooked noses and deford faces, as if they were a part of so cult. Their chant intensified as a purple mist ford in front of them.

It grew big enough that a tall man could look short in front of it, then it transford, mana spilled out of it, raw and violent.

It made Acheron choke, she wanted to run away and she tried but the guardian knight leader pulled her hair and threw her on the ground.

The mist shimred and a portal was ford, the Mother Regent walked towards the fallen Acheron.

She grabbed her collar and pushed her inside the portal, till the end there was a disgusted grin on her face.
