"Why would he be here? Also, how did the Tower allow him to leave?"
It was good that Azekiel was here since he could have his revenge now, but there was also a question in his head about Azekiel's purpose in coming here.
He was in the Tower. He was safe. Then why would he co here? Sothing didn't make sense.
"It seems you t that guy in the city. Why are you here and not destroying him then?" The man frowned, finally showing a different side than before.
"I left him for the others to kill. He isn't that strong, and I didn't want to give him too much importance since I hate him," Lenora explained, lying a bit.
Her real reason was Azekiel's words, but she didn't feel like she could say that soone's words swayed her so much that she left them. She didn't want to co off as a weak person.
The man glared at Lenora. "You know you can't lie to , right?"
The man was connected to Lenora in ways that she couldn't even imagine. He had manipulated her mories to make her feel like she was one of them. He had also given her so strength, but she didn't forget to take so precaution either.
In essence, Lenora was his slave, and she didn't even realize it. He could see through her eyes whenever he wanted. He could also control her body. For soone like him, it wasn't hard to know when Lenora was lying to him.
"If one really hates soone, they kill them with their own hands. Instead, you ca here, leaving him with the others? Tell the truth. Why would you do it?"
Even though the man was slightly angry that Lenora had lied to him, he still kept his anger in check, giving Lenora another opportunity to co clean.
Lenora lowered her head, feeling sowhat ashad that she had lied to her father, and she was caught. "I was embarrassed to tell you the truth, father. You are right. I wanted to kill him myself, but his words... I don't know what it was about them, but I felt that he was trying to manipulate ."
"And for so reason, I was feeling strange from his words. I didn't think that I could take it anymore, so I decided to leave." Lenora told the truth this ti.
"So you actually ran away like a coward." The man sighed, shaking his head. "It seems the human tendencies of fear and cowardice still reside inside you."
"What words did he use?" The man asked. "Tell everything."
Lenora told the man the entire conversation about the family and such. She still rembered all those words with such precision.
"So that's what happened." The man understood everything as Lenora explained what Azekiel had told her. He understood that Azekiel wasn't using any spell or any Manipulation. He was just speaking from his heart.
Unfortunately, those words probably stimulated Lenora's old mories.
"Let take care of it. Next ti his Manipulation won't work on you." The winged man placed his hand on Lenora's forehead.
To make sure sothing like this never happened, he was going to go even farther. Last ti, he had only sealed her old mories since it was easier, and he didn't want to waste more ti. But now, he was going to remove all her old mories instead of sealing them, so sothing like this never happened again.
He had wasted a lot of ti on Lenora in making sure she had access to the tower. He didn't want to have to kill her if her mories returned and she turned against him. And what happened recently did give him the impression that there was a possibility of her mories returning if he didn't delete them.
Lenora's eyes turned blank as a mysterious energy started flooding her body. It was as if she was forced to sleep with her eyes open. Even though her eyes were blank and her face expressionless, tears kept trickling out of her eyes as her mories were removed entirely.
She felt the pain, but she couldn't do anything about it. She just believed that it was for her own good, so she didn't resist. Even though her heart was filled with an empty feeling, she didn't resist.
After around ten minutes, the man finally freed Lenora, who dropped to her knees in weakness.
"How are you feeling?" he asked Lenora, who started coming to her senses.
Lenora looked up with her tear-stained face. Her eyes were filled with sadness for so reason, but her heart was completely empty even now.
"I feel better." Lenora stood up. "Now his Manipulation won't work on ?"
The man smirked. "Let alone his Manipulation, no manipulation will work on you. Don't worry about anything."
"Thank you, father." Lenora thanked the man. "Now that I'm safe from his Manipulation, I'll go and kill him personally!"
"Sure. I'll let you kill him." The young man agreed. "I will also be watching though. Let the man know the consequences of spoiling our plan!"
"Yes, Father!" Lenora jumped down and ran toward the battlefield that she had left before. This ti she had decided to kill Azekiel with her own hands.
"The man who ca here to kill us because we killed his family..." The man gazed in the direction Lenora ran. "It's so ironic that he'll end up buried in the sa city as well.
The man's beautiful wings spread wide as he started rising in the air. He wanted to watch Azekiel die with his own eyes.
He flew in the direction of the battlefield as well, prepared to watch an amusing show of pain and tornt that was going to be inflicted on Azekiel!
Lenora was the first one to arrive on the battlefield, only to be shocked initially. Azekiel wasn't alone now! There was one more person! Moreover, the battle so far was completely against her expectations! She had expected sothing else, but the reality was on the contrary!
