the king was born into darkness.
it took the shape of a pearl, and observed. learned. for years, centuries, eons.
over the thousands of years. the king found an animal it found dear to itself. a raccoon.
for once, it yearned to interact with it, so it took it's shape and awkwardly waddled towards it. unable to properly control the body it took for itself yet.
the king did not yet understand it's power, but it did not care.
the king tried to interact with the raccoon, but the raccoon got spooked by the weird presence the king has, the weird movent that give clear the fact that it is not natural.
the king, having realized it's mistake. decides to train itself into better controlling it's new body. as it thought of it, information flooded it's mind. information of how to control it's body, on the habits and even the language of the raccoons.
the king was frightened by the sudden surge of information. it looked around, trying to find the source of such unnatural surge of knowledge, it found none.
the king decided to embrace it. as it did, it managed to perfectly imitate the raccoons, almost as if it is one.
the king made it's way into the raccoons' den, where a gaze of raccoons seed to live.
it was night-ti, the forest was vast and cold. the raccoons were kind, they offered their help, their language simple. yet effective
"lost raccoon. need help? shelter, we give. forest, cold, dangerous. den, warm, safe." said the biggest raccoon, seemingly the leader of the gaze.
the king was surprised by the fact that it could understand them, it did not expect the knowledge it found to be this detailed.
the king decided to accept the raccoon's offer.
"yes. thank you. have no place to go. help appreciated." the king replied, it did not really need to do so, but with it's newly discovered love for raccoons, it seed to want this.
the raccoons made place for the new addition to their gaze, then introduced themselves.
" na Sven. woman there na Lilly, she my wife. male child na Dan. female child na Emma." said the biggest raccoon again.
the king seed to understand that they are a family of raccoons, it recognized Dan as the raccoon it saw earlier, but dan didn't recognize him.
" have no na, how get na?" said the king.
Sven seed surprised that the king didn't have a na.
"na need given. want give na?"
the king was surprised by Sven's eagerness to give him a na, but was happy nonetheless.
"yes. you give na, beco happy" said the king. eager to get a na for itself.
Sven started thinking, trying to find a suitable na for it's new friend. as it was thinking, it spotted a can that it stole from a few campers, it took it and placed it on the head of the king as a hat.
"can!" Sven exclaid "you na can!!"
the king seed pleased by it's new na, and the thoughtfulness of Sven touched his heart. can liked the new hat, and decided to keep it on from now on.
"thank you, Sven. like na." can said
the gaze of raccoons then huddled together to share warmth for the night. Lilly noticed can's hesitation to join them, she smiled softly. then urged can closer. "co, can. we sleep now, together."
as she led can to huddle up together with them, can felt very grateful for their kindness. can knew that he did not need any of this, and yet. it couldn't help but want this. it was the first bit of emotion he experienced, and it was addicting to him.
the body he took seed to require food and sleep. despite the king not needing it himself. can slowly fell asleep in the warmth of his new family.
