That information ca like a thunder on a clear sky and caused Sisi’s brain to short-circuit for a while. She kept staring at her husband, unsure if he was joking or if it was just a way to trick Sisi into staying.
"Kael, this is not funny," Sisi said. "You know how much I want a child of my own. But lying to about this is just cruel..."
"I’m not lying! The doctor checked your pulse and told that you’re pregnant! All the signs of your fatigue and morning sickness are just signs of pregnancy for a human!"
The way Kael spoke with joy and confidence basically confird that he wasn’t lying. Sisi kept staring at her husband for a good while in silence before her eyes pooled with tears.
"Husband, we’re going to have a child of our own."
"Yes, Sweetheart! You’re going to be a mother, and Jojo will have a sibling!" Kael said before hugging his beloved.
Sisi had been plagued by anxiety these days, and this news was perfect to make her feel better about the whole situation.
Of course, she already saw herself as Jojo’s mother. But she also wished to have a child of her own and give Jojo a sibling, since the boy was very lonely, and having a sibling ant that they could look for each other in the future.
On top of that, the baby would be the fruit of love between her and Kael, basically perfecting their marriage.
"You should wait here, alright? The kitchen is preparing a nourishing soup for you," Kael said. "I’ll go back to the main chamber and bring Jojo with . I’m sure that he will be ecstatic knowing that he’ll be a big brother in the future!"
"It’s late at night, Kael. Jojo is still asleep."
"Nonsense, he needs to know this news too!" Kael got up and left the doctor’s office to bring their son and share the good news.
Sisi was powerless to stop him, so she let him go and waited until he was far from the doctor’s office.
She turned her head toward Crush Tutu, who had been flying in front of her while carrying a seed.

Kael opened the door and rushed toward his son who was still fast asleep. He picked him up in his arms, and gently tapped the boy’s back, "Son, wake up. There is good news for us!"
"Mm..." Jojo was still half asleep when he got picked up. He rested his head on his father’s shoulder and complained, "Daddy... I’m still sleepy..."
"Jojo, we need to et with your mother now! You need to congratulate her!" Kael insisted as he walked out of the main chamber and headed to the doctor’s office.
The cold night wind hit Jojo’s skin, and the boy shuddered. He finally opened his eyes and rubbed them a few tis.
"Mmm, where is Mommy?" he asked.
"She’s in the doctor’s office," Kael said, and Jojo was on full alert imdiately.
"What happened to Mommy? D-Daddy, is she sick because of you? Wuu... she should’ve played with Jojo instead of playing with adults!"
"Well, you can’t bla for this one, son. Because she’s sick for a good reason," Kael admitted. "Jojo, do you ever want to have a sibling?"
"Un! I want to have a baby brother to play with! Uhm... a baby sister is okay too! I will protect my baby sister like how you protect Mommy!" Jojo declared.
Kael’s smile widened even more knowing that Jojo would be ecstatic upon hearing the good news that he had.
"Well, boy, you’re lucky today. Because your mother is pregnant with your baby brother or sister."
"Wha—!" Jojo’s golden eyes sparkled imdiately. "Daddy, I want to et with Mommy now! I want to know when I will get to see my baby brother!"
"Hah! That’d take nine months for a human, boy. So for the next nine months, you have to promise that you won’t be naughty or throw a tantrum, okay? Mommy needs a lot of rest after all."
"Okay! I promise, Daddy!"
Thus, they finally reached the doctor’s office, ready to congratulate Sisi together for her pregnancy.
However, once the door was opened, the first thing that Jojo saw was Crush Tutu, who handed sothing very small—like a seed—to his mother’s palm.

Kael and Jojo spoke at the sa ti, and Sisi turned her head toward them. She smiled at her family right when she held the seed from her grandmother.
Sisi opened her mouth. She wanted to call Jojo and let him sit on the bed with her.
However, the ground right under the bed suddenly shook, and a giant Venus flytrap suddenly burst out of the ground.
The Venus flytrap moved in a flash by opening its mouth and swallowing Sisi and Crush Tutu before burying itself and disappearing underground.
Everything happened in just a second, and both Kael and Jojo couldn’t do anything as they saw their beloved disappear right in front of their eyes.
